  • "Well.... Yeah." She said, a nervous edge to her voice, as she twiddled with her thumbs inside her jacket pockets.

  • [align=center][color=white]The Master's gaze dropped to his lap as he shrugged listlessly. "I see." he paused, eyes narrowing. "I have bad dreams sometimes, too." he looked up at the girl, raising a brow. "I'll show you mine if you'll show me yours." he said, almost without thought. He didn't know why, but he felt a certain fondness for this little girl.

  • "Really?" The little girl asked, a curious glaze on her face as she asked. Curiousity was then swept away by confusion, as the Professor said, 'Show.' Deciding to ask before agreeing, she asked softly, 'What to do you mean, 'Show?" She asked. Her shyness towards the man has obviously lowered a little, speaking she went from not talking to him, to having a conversation.

  • [align=center][color=white]The Time Lord sat up straighter, and gestured for her to sit in front of him. "It's a... trick," he explained carefully, wondering just how much he could tell her. "Something from my hometown. I find it so much easier to show dreams than to talk about them, don't you?"

  • She tried to imagine what it would be like to, show her dreams, speaking she never has before. She shrugged, "I guess." She said, and walked over to sit in front of the professor, as he had gestured.

  • [align=center][color=white]The Master tilted his head to the side, considering if he was doing the right thing, before shrugging the thought off. Since when had he cared for the right thing? He smiled a little at Amanda, leaning forward and putting his fingers on the side of her head. He looked her in the eyes before shutting his own, leaning his forehead on hers.

    He concentrated... then began.

Drums were the first thing that he was aware of. Loud drums that hammered in his head and rung his ears. His eyes - so young, so innocent - were searching the universe.

All of time and space, every minute, every second. The space continuum was not shown in the dream, but it's impact was clear. The drums slammed harder in his head, Badum, badum, badum, badum....badum, badum, badum, badum....
The Master stopped the rest of the dream, deeming it too dangerous, then opened his eyes and leaned back slightly, waiting for the girl's reaction.

  • Amanda's eyes widened, as she repeated the Professors dream in her head. Some of the things in the dream she couldn't make out, like what the boy, who she suspected was the professor when he was little, though she should ask to make sure. Yet, what had caused the repetitive drums in the dream. To make things clearer, the first thing she asked, was, "Was that you?"

  • [align=center][color=white]The Master leaned his head back, a wry smile playing over his features. "...yes, it was," he confirmed, eyes searching each star individually. HE looked down. "I'm surprised you aren't more shocked. Anyone else would have run."

  • Amanda slightly smiled as he said this. She had found it shocking, but didn't run because of the confusion she had to what the Professor had showed her, along with her curiosity. She then decided to ask the next of the questions she head, "What were you looking at?"

  • [align=center][color=white]"The Untempered Schism," he said, voice distant. "an opening in the time continuum, a gap in the fabric of reality from which can be seen the whole of the Vortex. All of time and space..." he trailed off head tilting to the side.

  • ( I showed the Master's reply to Mom, and she just stared at the screen with a 'What the Heck' face xD. Low muse bug.)

Amanda stared at the Professor, now more confused then ever, 'Time Continuum? Time and Space?' The little girl asked herself, re-playing the words he said in her head, trying to get a better understanding.

  • [align=center][color=white][Lol XD I probably confused her so much~ I'm sorry for knowing about the untempered schism...X(]

The Master let his lips curve into a smile. "Confusing, isn't it? I... dream about it. About a whole other world, actually, with Time Lords and Daleks and TARDIS's and Time Wars..." he trailed off.

  • (Knowing about it is cool ^_^ Wait..... I now noticed there's a crack n my wall..... IM GOING TO DIE!)

Amanda smiled as he trailed off about the whole other world in his dreams. She could tell that the dreams had a lot to do with time, but why?

  • [align=center][color=white][Really? Thanks :-[ Holy crap... RUN LITTLE GYMNAST, RUNNN!! - actually, wait! The Doctor might come through your house. STAY, LITTLE GYMNAST, STAY!]

The Master smiled vaguely. "It's a beautiful place..." he told her lowly.

  • [align=center][color=white][Good!]

The Master blinked out of hiss revere when Amanda spoke. "What's your nightmare?" he asked suddenly, returning to the original topic of conversation.

  • Amanda thought for a second, before saying, "how do I do what you did?" She asked, reffering to when the Professor had shown his dreams.

  • [align=center][color=white]The Master paused at the question. "...I'm not sure you could do it. It's sort of a specialty of mine. But... I could show myself your dreams, if you'd like."

  • 'So, it's sort of like a magic trick.' Amanda said in her head, more as a statement then a question. She nodded, "Ok."

  • [align=center][color=white]The Master nodded. "Alright. So, close your eyes, and imagine... a hallway. There are various doors in this hallway, and in each is a memory. Lock up each memory you don't want me to see, and open the one with your dream in it. Does that sound simple enough?"
