"Yep!" She said, popping the 'P'. She then frowned, as if remembering something once again, "Thought it's not finished yet. We just need to make sure to display is corrected, then we'll be done." She looked down at Amanda, who was looking down at her feet, shuffling her black sandals. through the grass

  • [align=center][color=white][Oooh, cool ;D]
The Master nodded. "That's fascinating." he commented, putting his hands behind his back and linking them. He glanced at Jade before returning his gaze to Amanda, tilting his head to the side politely. "Is this your first time to this park?" he asked, gesturing vaguely to the area around them.

  • OOC:
I'm making up park names, just so you know :P Should we do a timeskip to the next day, which I was thinking it should be a weekend day. Really low muse, I just spent 10 minutes crying :'(

    "Actually, yes
." Jade replied to the Professors question, "We usually go to River creek, which is I think south from us." Her voice was filled with a tint of un-sureness, as she said 'South.'

  • [align=center][color=white][Sure, that sounds good :) Aww why are you crying? D:]

The Master smiled genially. "Southwest," he corrected her, putting his hands in his pockets. He tilted his head to the side, trying to drown out the noise of the drums with his thoughts - like why exactly he was standing here talking to this insignificant girl - before he gave another, more contrite smile. "I'm afraid I must take my leave. Again, I apologize for my earlier attitude." he gave each girl a nod. "See you around."

  • Jade smiled, as the professor corrected her. She nodded, as the man said he had to leave. "It's fine, I understand." Jade said, and understanding glaze in her voice, "We should get going as well, it took a while to get here, so it'll take a while to get back.

OOC: I was doing gymnastics (Finally decided not to quit), and I was doing my back tucks and my knee twisted inwards, and then before I posted my last post, I hit my knee on the wall >.<

  • [align=center][color=white][Ouch >.0]
The Master nodded amiably. "Yes, quite," he muttered under his breath, turning on his heel and giving a little wave to the girls. He started towards his makeshift home, a small, old building at the edge of town.

Another thing he'd have to fix: his accommodations.

The Master sighed. So much to do, so little time....

[So where to you wanna time skip yo?]

  • [align=center][color=white][I was thinking it was Spring. Sunday sounds good :)]

  • OOC:
    Ok!

    IC:
"But I want to wear it." Amanda complained, crossing her arms. Jade sighed, knowing they wouldn't get any where if she didn't let Amanda wear it, "Alright..." Right now, Amanda was wearing a purple helmet with pink polka dots, and kitty ears at the top. Amanda smiled, and skipped towards the front door and opened it.

  • [align=center][color=white]The Master sighed as he left his decrepit house, shooting a half-hearted glare over his shoulder to the rickety door. Already a day had passed since he'd regained his memories, and the Time Lord still hadn't formulated a plan.

He had successfully infiltrated the town - though unintentionally - but it was a far cry from the bigger picture. Professor Yana was an important figure in this town, with a good reputation and an excellent web of connections. All the Master had to do was... tear a few down, so to speak. The bleach blonde sighed, looking in the too-bright sun as he walked. It was a habit of Yana's that the Master could simply not shake, no matter how hard he tried.

  • Jade grinned as Amanda skipped out the doors. A habit of hers, to not be mad at somebody for long unless you made her real mad. She followed Amanda out, making sure to close, and lock the door behind her, "Where to this time Amanda?" Jade asked, stuffing her hands in her grey sweatshirt, "Can we go to the park again?" Amanda asked, turning around to face Jade, "Oh, I suppose, but we'll spend most of the walking there." Jade said, remembering how long it took them t just get there, "That's alright!"

  • [align=center][color=white]The Master strolled along the dirt pathway that led from his house to the park. It was his usual morning routine to do so, being sure to keep a sharp eye out for any alien lifeform that could be the ruin - or the making - of his plans. The man tapped at his stomach from inside his hoodie pocket, feet landing in beat of the resounding drums. The Master's eyes narrowed slightly as his head tilted down from it's craning position. The Time Lord watched the people he passed by - not that many, surprisingly, considering it was a Sunday - with little interest. He nodded went he was meant to, smiled where it was needed, and even exchanged a few words with some of the more important figures in town.

Eventually, the Master made it to his destination, sighing in quiet relief when he noted nobody was there. The not-so-young-man sat by his - Yana's - usual tree, crossing one leg over the other. He grabbed the book he'd brought along for pleasure - Advanced Quantum Mechanics - and began to read quietly.

This wasn't exactly the Master's style, but Yana hadn't quite left the residence yet. The other man - the human Master - was still in the Master's brain, small traces of kindliness and peace residing in the Time Lord's countenance.

  • "While we're walking, we should work on your multiplication table." Jade suggested, only to get a groan from Amanda. Amanda opened her mouth to argue, but Jade was already saying, "Ms. Graham said you were having trouble with your multiplication table, so I am going to help." Amanda sighed, crossing her arms, "Alright..." She mumbled. Jade smiled, glad she won this round, "Okay......" She paused, thinking for a second on what she should say, but instead of saying something, she asked, "What number are you having trouble multiplying with?" Jade looked down towards Amanda, to see her thinking before she spoke aloud, "I'm having trouble on sevens."

  • [align=center][color=white]As the Master attempted to delve in his book, he heard some voices in the far distance. He looked up slightly from his books, watching two forms approach the park with mild curiosity. He tilted his head to the side, vaguely remembering the voices, but unable to put his finger on it.

  • "Ok, well lets start off with a basic one." She said, before adding, "What's Two times Seven?" She asked, getting an instant reply from Amanda, "Easy, Fourteen." She said, and Jade asked another question, "Three times Seven?" This time Amanda thought for a second, "Twenty-one." Jade smiled, remembering how it had took her a while to get her multiplication table down, though now she has it, "Good. What's Four times Seven." Once again, Amanda had to think about the question, gears turning in her head, as she finally answered, "Twenty-Eight."

  • [align=center][color=white]As the figures neared, the Master realized it was the two girls from the other day. His eyes lifted from his book, following their forms as they made their way towards the park. They were doing the multiplication table, and as they came closer to the bleach blonde, the Master realized the small girl was already in the sevens.

    How old was she, anyway?

    ...why did it matter?

The Master shook the thoughts away, resolutely returning to his book.

  • IC:
She smiled, before asking, "Five times seven?" She asked, getting a quick reply from Amanda, "That's easy, Thirty-five." Jade nodded, and said, "Correct. Now, what's Six times Seven?" This time, it wasn't a quick reply from Amanda. She furrowed her eyebrows, as if in concentration, "I can't do that one in my head.." She mumbled. Jade nodded, and seemed to hop on one leg, trying to get something from her boot. It was a small notepad, a small Three" by Four" notepad. It was Blue, with the words written in purple, 'Jade Ellis.' And then in a different handwriting, was 'Amanda Ellis.' She handed it to Amanda, opening the magnetic closure and took the pencil that was held by a ribbon, and taped to the notepad. As they stopped, Jade looked around, noticing the same man with the bleach blonde hair from yesterday- Professor, was it?- She gave a small wave, before looking back towards what Amanda was doing.

  • [align=center][color=white] The Master waved back, offering a small smile before returning to his book. However, he couldn’t help but overhear the conversation.

It irked him to no end just how much the little girl was having trouble with a simple question, and he shut the book with a -snap-. He looked up, and said just loud enough for them to hear, “Six times seven is the answer to Life, the Universe, and everything.” He sat up, eyebrow quirked.

  • Amanda slightly jumped from the snap, concentrating so hard on the problem. Hade raised an arched eyebrow in confusion, before asking, "How so?" She asked, not really understanding why it would be for.... Everything.

  • [align=center][color=white]The Master smiled slightly before setting his book down beside him.
“Have you ever read A Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy?” he asked.

“In the book, an alien race makes a computer who was built to give the answer to the life, the universe, and everything. That answer was 42,” he explained.
