Alaryan returned soon with an arm full of firewood and set it down in the center of the small clearing. She knelt to light a small fire. "Tell me about yourself?" asked Alaryan as the spark caught in the tinder.

Is this still open? And if it is, can I get a recap before posting my form?
-
The soldier sat up at her return, the very movement a struggle, he got into a seated position that he may enjoy the fire a bit more. Renon mused over the question for a moment, "Not much to tell, but, I was born in Dras-Leona to a rich merchant family, but that wasn't the life for me, so here I am." he replied briefly, not quite sure if he should return the question.
The elf Alaryan and the Human Renon are travelling at the edge of Leona Lake to find one of Alaryans old friends, they are now seated around a camp fire.
-
The elf watched him and listened to what the soldier had to say then asked "Are you hungry? " She opened her bag reached inside and took out some food.
-
He had eaten before their trek, but fifteen miles did a number in anyone. Renon nodded savagely, glad she hadn't implored more upon his past, "Thank you, it is greatly appreciated." he replied gratefully, holding out his hands to accept what she was offering, "And...If you wouldn't mind...Where exactly is this friend of yours?" he was sure King Galbatorix himself would take pride in his spying abilities.
-
Alaryan gave him a chunk of bread and hazelnuts and answered "Du Fells Nángoröth." She had sensed his plan earlier while it was a truthful answer it was a rather vauge answer. His lack of subtly was almost hilarious she had seen urgals that were more cunning than him. Although to anyone who had played the game that elves call politics most mortal plots were dam obvious.
-
Renon felt a shiver crawl down his spine, the usage of those words felt unnatural and foreign to his ears, but he couldn't name the place on the map. "Somewhere close by, I hope?" he inquired with a quick consumptions of hazelnuts. Though couldn't decipher the elfs demeanor, he was slightly fearful of being discovered by the seemingly dimwitted savage, ""Thank you again for the food."
-
Wow. So... It's Alagaesia without any of the canon characters except Galbatorix?
-
Well sort of it just happens to be that they are in the middle of a forest. You could play a canon character if you wanted to. Alaryan and Renon are going to going into the desert and this is around. The same time as the events of Eragon.
"No." Alaryan admitted even though she didn't expect him to make it all the way to Du Fells Nángoröth. The desert was tough to traverse especially for weak humans. "Tell me more about your life?"
-
Yeah, it goes a bit like that above.
Renon bit his lower lip to express his disapproval, "Well, as you can see, I joined the military. I am a scout as you know, but I trained less with my sword and more so with my bow..." he trailed off as he realized that he was possibly potentially to release military secrets and strategies.
-
Okay! Give me a bit to formulate a character.
-
"Don't worry I already know all of the Empire's military strategies and secrets worth knowing." Alaryan assured the slight smirk on her face was not reassuring though.
-
He paled, he didn't feel the protruding force that time. Renon frowned, almost about to break his flawless character, "Clearly you don't, elf, if you did, I wouldnt be here travelling with you. I would actually have a use. And you would be dead." he returned, feeling a bit too triumphant.
-
"Really? Is that why you think I am letting you travel with me?" she laughed darkly. "If I truly wanted any of the information you hold I would just take it from your mind. You are just an common soldier nothing more; nothing but a means to an end." Alaryan's posture had not changed she was still relaxed.

Yay!

He had believed it was due to him being the only soldier around to keep the elf in check. "Yes, but this 'means to an end' will put an arrow between your eyes at any given moment, this common soldier doesn't know more than where to march and how to march." he replied hotly, "Besides, those mind protrusions are nothing more than bar tricks."
oh boy a new friend.
-
"I dare you to shoot me," Alaryan told him, "Now is as good a time as any." her expression was emotionless with only the slight hit of a smirk. Alaryan hadn't drawn her sword she didn't intend on using it against him again. Her mind would suffice for this, and her wards would stop the arrow.

Mew pokes her head out of the undergrowth, in cat form. She sees an elf lady chatting with some clumsy looking man. The man pulls out a bow, pointing it at the lady. Mew tilts her head, watching.
