  • Kosey sighed very softly and looked down at the mostly finished heron. The real reason for his reluctance was he was enjoying his one on one conversation with Lapis. He stood with a soft sigh giving a last glance to the heron. ”We will leave it for after the patrol, I’m sure the healers will take care of the fellow with the bad sting.” Kosey padded after Lapis towards Apophis and smiled at the tom. ”Hello Apophis.” Kosey wasn’t normally a gossiper but he had a strong desire to question Apophis about the cat that had gotten stung he held back his urges though. Kosey scanned the grand hall and quickly spotted her next to his sister. ”She is over there.” He pointed wit his tail towards that direction.

  • Jamila padded through the halls, winding her way towards the room where the Priest resided. "Akhe. It is Jamila. You haven't been out in days. Are you alright?" The honey she-cat called rrom outside the sealed enterance to the room. "Ahke?"

  • [align=center][font=timesnewroman][size=14][color=gold]Lapis[size=10][color=black]
    The she-cat turned to Apophis, her attention trained onto him. "Oh yes, we heard about the sting. Was it... bad?" Lapis didn't want to pressure the tom at all, but he seemed quite willing to answer. "It wasn't bleeding or anything, but the effects were a bit gruesome. We had to leave the site immediately and take the poor cat to the Healers," Apophis explained to Lapis, who was listening intently. "Well I'm sure that Kuthu, Lotus, and the others are treating him well."

    Akhe winced as he heard his name from outside his chamber. Mumbling slightly under his breath, the tom cleared his throat and blinked away the redness in his eyes. No doubt that Khepri had sent Jamila to check up on him. Well he didn't need any of that. The Priest approached the door and pushed away the heavy barrier. Jamila was outside, looking a bit concerned. "I've been working," he said quite simply, not wanting to answer very clearly. "If Khepri wants to know what I'm doing, then he should come see me himself," the tom growled. Suddenly, Akhe felt angered. Not at Jamila, but at the gods. He turned swiftly towards her, his eyes flaring with rage, and a bit of insanity. "Things will change, Jamila. A great change will come to our desert. This change will shake our Clan to its roots, and there will be no turning back. The gods will leave us. This I am sure of. Khepri asks you to see me, so tell him this and see what he shall say." Akhe then whipped back around and padded back into his chamber, sealing the door once more.

  • "...What?" Jamila blinked confusedly as the crazy tom padded away. She shook her head and put her paw to her face. "Crazy old cat." The she-cat muttered and turned away, trotting swiftly towards the Pharaoh's chambers. "King Khepri, Akhe didn't give up much. Something about a big change and the gods abandoning us..."

  • Kosey's eyes were raised in surprise as Apophis explain what had happened to the fallen hunter. "Ouch, we should probably steer clear of that area than." It wasn't much of a surprise since the nasty little things ventured out at night but still unlucky. "Who was it by the way?" He had an idea of who had been stung but he wanted clarification. Kosey though shivered, almost like he could feel a scorpion crawling on him. He wouldn't wish a sting on even his worst enemy.

  • Aanjay opened her eyes slowly. Already, in a mere three moons here, the memories of dens and cats of her own clan had been replaced by the stone walls and icy feelings of the dungeon she resided in. Her fur didn't shine as it had before she'd been made a prisoner. It was rare to see a single star at night time from where she was. And...the company wasn't the nicest to her. She longed for a friend, someone to comfort her even in this desolate place, a place where she was the only resident aside from the cats who came to watch her with stern expressions and harsh tones.
    Aanjay sat up, stretching to work out the small kinks in her muscles and the pain in her left shoulder. It'd been there for quite some time now, and no matter what she tried, the pain never lest. Her stomach let out a loud growl and she winced. A growling stomach was a sign of weakness. She didn't want to be weak.

    [color=gold][size=14]Khepri[size=10][color=black]
    The Pharaoh had been closing his eyes, almost on the verge of sleep, when his vizier burst into his chamber. Startled, the old cat jumped to his paws. Jamila looked a bit frazzled, her eyes worried and confused. Upon hearing her news from Akhe, he felt the same. Change? What kind of change? The Gods... abandoning them? He wasn't sure he understood. "Jamila. Jamila, slow down. I... what is it that he said exactly? Akhe is a strange cat, and who knows if he may be making false interpretations," Khepri said slowly, trying to comprehend the information. "Never mind. I'll think about it, and then I'll go check on Akhe myself. In the meantime, Jamila, would you mind accompanying me to the Dungeons to retrieve our prisoner? I think it's time she had her trial."

    [size=14][color=gold]Apophis[size=10][color=black]
    The Hunter shifted his gaze to Kosey before shaking his head. "No, I don't know. It was very dark last night, and very chaotic. Why, do you have any idea?" Apophis had answered Kosey's question with a question of his own. He briefly gazed around for Renegade. She should be coming, as the patrol was set to leave very soon, and Apophis didn't want to leave without the she-cat.

  • Aanjay's tongue lapped over her paw, trying to clean up as much she could. Her eyes were closed as she groomed herself, and she tried to hold back a soft purr. This was probably the best cleaning she'd had in a while, and it felt good to get off the grime and dirt that had collected on her pelt for the past few moons. She finished by licking her paw and running it over her head and ears, before she stood and looked around the dim area. Her eyes were wide to try and get in the most light, and her tail was still. Her ears strained as hard as they could, trying to hear as far as possible for any approaching cats. However, the only thing she could hear was her own breathing. No one was coming.

  • Amun dropped down off one of the ledges in the grand hall landing with a loud thump, he seemingly glared at the pile of food before turning and slowly walking towards the farthest wall, his steps slow and his gaze set on nothing in particular, but no one could imagine all the wondrous thoughts going through his imagination.

  • Jamila tried to calm down, letting her fur lay flat. She quickly regained her regal temper. "I apologize for my overreaction. I do understand that Akhe is indeed a strange cat. But since he hasn't been out in days, I drank up his words." The vizier explained. "And yes, I shall be more than happy to accompany you to the dungeon."

  • [align=center][font=timesnewroman][size=14][color=gold]Khepri[size=10][color=black]
    Khepri nodded at his vizier, standing from his place to accompany her. He flicked his tail towards the door and led the way down to the dungeons, talking to Jamila all the while. "Akhe... I will speak with him and sort this out. In the meantime, it would be excellent if you didn't tell any other cat about his words. We don't need any more commotion going around," he explained. The Pharaoh knew that if any more cats knew about Akhe's predictions, they would fall into chaos. The pair had arrived in the dungeon. Cold, dank air surged up to them. Khepri shivered a little before moving forward. "Aanjay?" he called.

  • Kosey sighed, he hated waiting around. He shifted from paw to paw waiting for the last member to joint he patrol so they could head out. He noticed Khepri and Jamila heading towards the dungeon and wondered why they were going that way. He didn't ask the others around him though.

    Nakhti sighed and stood up with a grunt. She noticed her leader and second in command heading out and jumped forward and then stopped. She really didn't want to go down to that creepy place. What she really wanted to do was get out and leave camp for a while but she needed to find someone to go with her. She spotted Amun. He was odd but he would have to do. "Hey Amun want to go do something?" Nakhti wasn't sure why she was feeling so friendly right now, probably because she was that bored.

  • Amun had seated himself so that he could see the rest of the clan. His ears perked slightly at the sound of another cat saying his name and then he turned to face her."Oh yes, yes that would be wonderful." He said softly before stretching out his limbs."Where would you like to go?" He asked giving her a warm smile.

  • Jamila nodded. "Of course." She meowed, padding alongside the pharaoh till they came to the dungeon. The cold, dank air clung to her pelt and sent a shiver down her spine. She cursed under her breath for it being so cold. "Where is the prisoner? If she doesn't want to come out I shall remove her if needed." The she-cat said to the pharaoh, standing on her toes to keep her paws from getting too cold. She was used to the heat of the desert, not this.

  • Nakhti was glad that Amun had agreed because she was going to have to get real desperate after him to find someone to do something with. "Lets get out of clan for a while, maybe see if we can find something to mess with or scare off." It was childish but she was alright with it. Anything was better than being cooped up inside the clan all day long.

  • "I like the sound of that." He purred then hopped up, he looked at her then thought a moment before leaping right over her and racing down the hall trying to initiate a race.

  • Aanjay peered out, her eyes shining. "Y-Yes?" She tried her best to keep her voice from wavering, but she still stuttered. She tried again. "Yes?" She tried to make herself seem larger, but with her small body, it wasn't exactly easy to do. She padded forwards, eyeing the two cats almost warily. "W-What's going on?" They looked serious. That wasn't a good sign... She stopped so there was still quite a bit of space left between them.

  • Jamila stepped forward. "You are going to be brought before the Pharaoh and the cats of the Clan on trial. Failure to come with us without fight will result in removal by force." The intimidating she-cat said, taking a pace forward, slowly closing in the space between them.

  • Nakhti felt a grin spread across her face as Amun raced off. She began to race after him, her paws pounding hard against the stone ground. Most cats wouldn't be able to run long on these floors but Nakhti and her fellow clan mates were use to it. She was slowly gaining on Amun but she knew she would never catch him. She could run like this but not forever. She wasn't much of a sprinter but it would be fun while it lasted. "To the river!"

  • [align=center][font=timesnewroman][size=10][color=black]{where is Renegade by the way?}

    [size=14][color=gold]Khepri[size=10][color=black]
    The Pharaoh quickly padded after his vizier, stepping lightly to avoid the cold stone. "Now, Jamila. No need to frighten our young guest," the old cat mewed quietly, approaching the prisoner in her cell. What was her name again? Aanjay? Yes that was her name. "Like Jamila said, you will have to come with us for your public trial. I believe it will be held at sundown?" Khepri looked to Jamila for confirmation. "Jamila, if you could gather the Clan at that time, that would be great," he suggested to his vizier. Khepri surveyed the prisoner with observant eyes. The she-cat didn't seem too dangerous in any way, but it was traditional to hold trials.

    [size=14][color=gold]Apophis[size=10][color=black]
    Apophis was starting to get a bit impatient. They needed to head out soon! "Kosey, could you find Renegade and bring her over? We need to leave soon, and it wouldn't be very kind of us to leave her behind," he explained, searching the growing crowd of cats in the great hall for Renegade. He couldn't spot her, even with his sharp eyes.
