thirty minutes after her father had left the room, Mckenna slipped in closing the door silently behind her.
-
He was sitting on the bench inside the cell, but glanced over when she came into the room
-
'' Hey...'' She mumbled, looking at him
-
He didn't reply
-
She rolled her eyes. She pulled keys out of her pocket and jingled them in front of him

-
He nodded and left

-
The spirit started running, getting away from the area
-
her father came into the room and yelled at her furiously before dragging her outside to the car
-
He watched from a distance, feeling bad for her
-
Her father drove them home and sent her up to her room. She sat on her window seal, staring up at the stars and wondering where he'd gone
-
He climbed up the fire escape of a nearby building, then ran across the roof and leapt over to the next then the next, before arriving on her roof. " Hey." He called softly
-
She looked up at him.'' What're you doing here?'' She asked ust as softly
-
" wanted to thank you for earlier. Although that isn't something I say often." He said
-
She nodded slowly, looking away
