Ashes, ashes, we all fall DOWN
The bubonic plague. The Black Death. Whatever you call it, it's a disease that kills anyone who gets it within 5-7 days. And it's sweeping across medieval Europe. You are living in a quiet town, called Riverford, partially enclosed by rivers, and with many acres of fertile farmland and grassy plains with sheep trotting across them. A peaceful, cheery town with only a few people in it. At least, until the plague hits.
This is a REALISTIC medieval RP, set in Europe, so bust out your 6th grade history books. If you aren't sure if something is realistic or not, feel free to ask, I don't bite!
Symptoms
listed in order of time;
-Headaches
-Chills
-Shaking
-Muscle cramps
-Confusion
-Slurred speech
-Purple/black swelling
-By the last day, extreme pain and seizures due to the nervous system collapsing
-Smell of rotting flesh tends to be around the victims
Town
Riverford is small and cozy, thus promoting the spread of the plague. It's a farming town surrounded by rolling fields and with a forest in the distance full of wolves.

Rules
1. All WCRPG rules apply to this thread.
2. Keep this realistic. Medieval Europe didn't have phones, healing herbs, medicines, dragons, pet wolves (hunting dogs are okay), grocery stores (they traded for food or grew it themselves) or mythical creatures.
3. The lifestyles of medieval Europeans were very religious. You don't have to, but these people were looking to God to save them, not science. So no scientists. No offense to religious people intended. Please don't kill me.
4. "Doctors" are allowed, but they can't have many remedies, maybe just a few plants to relieve symptoms. Erase the part of the other section that says "(optional)" if you read the rules.
5. Your character will likely die. Don't get too attached.
6. You can go ahead and take the idea for this thread! As long as you don't just copy and paste this into a different thread.
7. THERE IS NO CURE. Sorry, but they had no way to cure it then and they don't now.
8. Don't argue on OOC. Take it to PM or something.
9. Don't sign up and forget the thread.
10. No "meet me" in personality
11. Background story is basically the history and also the way of life your character leads. If you won't reveal the history, instead say where they live, how much money, etc.
12. Have fun with deadly diseases!

The song in the title? About the plague. Ring around the rosy--The area around the rosy red part of your cheek would be swollen; Pocket full of posies--Flowers were used to ward off the rotting smell; Ashes, ashes, we all fall down--The houses of the sick were burned down, sometimes before all of them completely died.
Sorry for killing your childhood and your feels.
More will be added once people ask questions.
