Cat's Name: Larkpaw
Cat's Age: 6
Gender: Tom
Alliance: Loner
Position: Loner
Appearance:
Larkpaw has a brown speckled coat with a lighter underbelly. He has green, blurred eyes without a pupil. They have been like this since birth. His body is long and slender.
Personality:
Larkpaw is very sensitive about his blindness. He hates it being mention or getting special treatment for it. He want's to be like any other cat. He's always trying his hardest to prove that he can take care of himself. Most the time he tries too hard and ends up failing and embarrassed. He'll be kind to cats that ignore his weakness, but rude and impolite to those that acknowledge it in any way. He usually says what he thinks and is very aware of what is on around him. He can be really cranky at times.
History:
Larkpaw was originally from Thunderclan. He was part of a litter of five. At first, his litter mates didn't seem to notice his blindness, and he didn't realize he couldn't see. But when he didn't seem to understand what "see" or "look" meant, he got curious and asked. When he found out he was blind, it made him very upset. His littermates must of found out some how, because they started treating him different. Being more careful when they were playing, describing how everything looked to him, he hated it. It didn't take him long to figure out he wouldn't be allowed to become a full warrior. When the day came that his siblings were named warriors, and he had to sit and watch from the shadows, he couldn't take it anymore. He let out a scream of rage and tore across camp and out into thunderclan territory. Then he ran. He ran far away and into unknown territory.
Roleplay Sample:
Not needed
Comments/Other:
Larkpaw is going to join Thicket Adobe.

One more in personality.
Rest is fine, just how's he going to GET to thicket abode from TC while being totally blind? Will someone guide him there? {That would work.} -
I added a sentence.
And for getting to Thicket Adobe, I'm going to have him just running away in anger and end up in their territory by chance, then have one of the cat lead him from there. Would that work? -
The thing is...I have lived with blind people and running around in an unfamiliar or even familiar place just isn't feasible. They can get around in areas they know well but not dasing around and stuff....and never in places they have never been.
-
Well, he's not exactly a person, but I see your point. He is apprentice age, so he could be mad enough(and stupid enough) to run of into unknown territory. He might be upset enough, at the moment, to even be thinking suicidal thoughts. What point would he see in life if he can't become a warrior? Or is that to far fetched?
-
No, it's not. But the problem is...well, it'd be rather rare for the animal to stumble into the perfect place with helping cats - or will accept the help of a loner? Mmm..you know what I mean? When you have a disability, often times one is very...touchy about it. Not to mention that clan cats are instilled with horror stories of loners/rogues since they are little kits. It's a bit out there to think this cat would make it safely to this certain territory.
-
Try crossing through a forest blindfolded, then consider that cats cant even use both front paws at once like we could use our hands to feel ahead.
-
I didn't say without stumbling. He'll probably trip every ten seconds, get tons of cuts and bruises. And he doesn't have to go far into the territory, maybe just make it to thicket adobes border; or I could see if one of the thicket adobe cat's would want to wander out of their territory a little and find him.
-
Yeah and imagine how messed up he'll be after going literally a good few miles while bumping or stumbling into things every ten seconds. Maybe a cat could find him somewhere midway and bring him there? That would have to happec ic though.
-
I didn't realize it was that far. So if I got a cat to find him, about half way there, it would work? Where would I put the thread, neutral grounds?
-
For his own sake it should probably be less than halfway. You can put the thread anywhere you like tho.
Im just concerned because we've had a lot of problems with blindness not being properly rped here in the past.
-
Okay, I see. So is it excepted?(if I have him get found and stuff, that is.)
-
Yeah. Just be careful! :)
Approved!
