  • His black, messy hair flopped against his eyes, just for him to brush them out of his face again, to reveal bright, vibrant green eyes. He looked ahead, his feet dragged along the ground, for he had walked quite a long way. Though it was almost over now, he was almost home.
He was going to a private school, the one with dorms and strict rules, and curfews and mean teachers and all of that junk, and he had ran away for the longest time. He knew that almost no one would remember him, he hadn't exactly made his mark when he was there, but now he was back, and he wasn't the same kid he was before.
Back then, he was pudgy, and very unappealing. But now, he lost a lot of weight, and changed his appearance from a little insecure buy, to a confidently built attractive one, and he wouldn't go back for anything.
He now smiled mischievously as he edged the front door.
"Here we go, Chase..." he said quietly to himself, then he burst open the doors.

  • "Just because you can handle the Pain
Doesn't mean you want to experience it."

Her strands of chocolate hair streaked with bleach blond stroked down between her shoulder blades and frayed ends swayed near her elbows. The drastically shortly layered front touched her face, causing the tiny nose to wrinkle from the slight tickle. Yet she refused to push the strands away from her face. They his her slightly different colored eyes. The left a navy hue and the right a shade more vibrant green-blue nearly teal shade. With legs looking thin enough to tremble if not for surprisingly strong calves Felicity strode through the halls away from her dorm.

She ran fingers across the cream walls until reaching the exit. She hated the dorm rooms, despite them being fairly attractive she hated the confined feeling. She traded it in for going in minutes before curfew and staying outside to do homework. And just before those doors closed her off from the many dorm doorways she skipped away. Then ran, until reaching a stone and grass courtyard, a place in which she and her friends often went to for free hours and the occasional outing.

It had been a while since deciding to enroll here and she had grown used to the rough classes and harsh rules. Without thinking she had adjusted to fit in. And despite doing that she still stood out with bleached strands of hair, odd eyes, and three piercings in each ear. Not what you might expect from an honors students, but then again, she wasn't treated like one. More like a 'disruptive student' or 'wild card.'

    "I like being alone,
    But I hate being lonely."

  • Once opened, Chase expected a shush among the school, eyes lingering upon him, but the halls were empty. Chase checked his watch, it read about seven, so everyone must have been in their dorms. Chase sighed, he wasn't sure exactly what to do, but to wander the halls.
He remembered his old dorm, number 216, with two other rough roommates that treated him like he was lowly and worth nothing. He'd teach them, he'd come back there... maybe rough them up a bit, and fight- no, he'd probably get expelled if he did that, he'd have to do this diligently.
So instead, he wandered more, the thought about raiding his old dorm completely out of his head, maybe he should meet a girl... yeah, that'd be nice, and see if they recognize him, he grinned at this thought, and headed to the hall of the girls' dorms.

  • "Just because you can handle the Pain
Doesn't mean you want to experience it."

Felicity lowered head to stare at the leaves brushing her ankles when they blew past. A faint smile graced her features before she let it fall. Her combat booted feet carried her over to a stone bench, names carved in or written on to the surface. She removed her own silver sharpie, drawing her name with swirled letters then capped the pen, pulling gold out to accent the letters carefully. In the end it stood out amongst the black, blue, and pink names that had started fading away.

After remaining for a few long minutes Felicity removed herself from the bench to start her walk again. While padding slowly back to her dorm she twisted and braided her hair together into tight immature ones. Her roommate had told her not to stay out long, history did need to be studied after all, and Felicity, though never eager to follow rules, was willing to obey since cherry pie had been brought into the deal.

She pushed open the doors slightly with shoulders slumped and hair braiding long forgotten. Her dorm room could be found near the very end of the hall sadly, and the walk was what Felicity noted as daily excursive.

    "I like being alone,
    But I hate being lonely."

  • Chase admired the wallpaper that cloaked the dull wall of the halls down the girls' dorms, it was much nicer then the ones you'd find back at the boys'. Chase whistled softly, walking down, keeping his ears opened for any sudden noises.
    He picked up something.
A faint, padding type of walk, and Chase stopped in place, he turned around, figuring that was where the noise was coming from, but alas no.
He swiftly turned forward again, and pulled his jacket into him tighter, he wasn't sure how this figure he may meet would be like, but most of the girls he had met at this school were feisty. He shivered at the thought of meeting a bully girl, but then puffed out his chest, realizing he was practically a man now. And continued walking.

  • "Just because you can handle the Pain
Doesn't mean you want to experience it."

Felicity continued her walk, but her footsteps faltered when she saw another down the hall. The build was clearly male, both taller and more muscled than her. The light bouncing off the cream walls made it much bright and much harder to see his face. But without a second thought the girl calmly strode towards him.

Upon reaching a few feet away from him she spring forward to tap his arm. She was now a mere foot away from him. While most would find this distance uncomfortable for strangers she thought nothing of it. Instead she blinked, unwavering different blue colored eyes staring at him with a curious tilt to her head and warm but confused smile on her plush lips. At the sudden leap and stop she made her brown with blond streaked hair swished around her until resting comfortably in straight pieces around her shoulders and back.

"Hey! What are you doing in the girls dorm, male?" She kept her voice light an easy before leaning forward with one eye closed in a lasting wink. Her smile grew bolder and twisted her left shoulder towards him. "Perhaps you were hoping to get a peek?" She pulled away from him and let a slim finger tap on her chin in mocking thought.

    "I like being alone,
    But I hate being lonely."

  • With the tap on the shoulder, normally Chase would jump, but at this when he turned around, he didn't, and when he saw this... female, he smiled.
"Oh, no no- I'm no pervert but- I just got here, and I was wondering if someone could..." he trailed off.
Hmm, I know everything here, but this girl seems rather- different, perhaps I shall take this opportunity.
"Show me around?" he gazed at her with a wicked smile on his face, his hair plastered over one eye.

  • "Just because you can handle the Pain
Doesn't mean you want to experience it."

Felicity tilted her head to the side even more, pale ear nearly touching her shoulder. "Hmmm," she voiced in thought. She licked her lips and sucked in her bottom lip, holding it there for a few seconds before releasing it, a routine she often did when having an internal fight. Finally she shrugged with hands coming up into a Sure, why not? position.

"Sure I'll take you around." She turned down the hall and glanced back with a sly smirk. "But it's going to code you something. My gifts of kindness are not always free, I'll have you know." She winked with her aqua eye before turning to skip down the corridor. "Well start with the courtyard, then move to the main building, fields and then I'll drop you off at the boys dorm. I trust you know your room number?"

    "I like being alone,
    But I hate being lonely."

  • "I would find it a crime not to know your dorm number." Chase said, the wicked smile still drawn upon his face.
He imagined how he looked at the moment in his head, he stood up straight, hands dangling at his sides, head held high, and feet pointed forward. He tried to make himself look as confident, yet dashing as he could possibly make himself, trying to impress this new founded girl.
"You know," said he, flipping his hair out of his face, "It be nice if this were free, but to the point as I realize it will not, what exactly will be the price?"

  • "Just because you can handle the Pain
Doesn't mean you want to experience it."

She let her own sly smile grace her feature before turning around to face him fully. Reaching up to the tip of her toes she dropped her eye lids to rest over her irises comfortably. Their faces inches apart and her lips drawing even further back was quite the combination, and in a blow of warm breath, smelling of cinnamon and sugar, spice and sweet, she let slip, "Your price depends on how much of a hassle you are."

With a another push forward so they nearly closed what little distaste they had maintained she rocked forward on her toes and back onto her heels. Her head barely touched his shoulder. So with renewed energy and bright grin she looked up towards Chase. "lets go slow poke." She took quick, skips away to the exiting doors. She was still confused by her own actions. Sure, she had always been bold but never enough to strangers. Perhaps it was him and his smile, and hair, and eyes.

With these thought in her head she led him away. And as a mere extension of her thought she said, "Nice eyes, by the way. Green is rare shade to have."

    "I like being alone,
    But I hate being lonely."

  • With the rush of actions flooding past him so fast, Chase felt warmth, a bit of a tingly feeling, rage, and then delight in her comment about his eyes.
"They're more of a burden, if you ask me." He said, shrugging.
"I'd much rather have those pretty aqua eyes of your's, but thanks anyway." he smiled once more.
"So, you think I may be a hassle, eh?" he chuckled. "Yeah, most people would think of me that way, and I'd give it to them, especially if they ask for it."
    He looked at her.
    "I'm Chase, by the way."

  • "Just because you can handle the Pain
Doesn't mean you want to experience it."

She smiled at him warmly, letting proof of her straight teeth show. "Nice to meet you, Chase." She twisted her body, now walking backwards. She stuck a slim hand out, a brown leather cuff and two rings adorning it. "Felicity. Some call me Felix, but if doesn't really matter."

With a final nod and hand shake she turned back around and resumed a spot beside him. A few heartbeats of polite silence followed them. With no noise inside the dorms it seemed almost empty. Though with the large masses of homework the school gave out she didn't really doubt what the other girls were doing. "Why do you think your eyes are a burden? You don't love them?"

    "I like being alone,
    But I hate being lonely."

  • "Nah, I do, but-" Chase exasperated.
"I just feel a little too special." He said, with a depleted breath supply, he took one hefty inhale, just to sigh it out once more. He didn't bother looking anywhere else but to her, smiling roguishly, and taking hair out of his face ever so often.

"yea, well, I'd much rather have green eyes. But they wouldn't go well with my hair." She took a moment to consider, face tilted up to catch warm sunlight. Though it was already fading her strands of hair became lighter, golden almost. "It looks good on you. Really....cute." She smiled, feeling oddly proud to have an excuse to make him blush or stutter. Two other things that seemed to fit him.

  • Ha! Don't sweat, it's okay c:

Like she predicted, Chase did blush at this.
"Oh- uh... r-really?" he stammered, his grin disappearing, and turning into a small line across his face.

Felicity suppressed her giggles behind a delicate hand. "What, you don't like being called cute? It's so true though." She smiled warmly at him before facing forward again. "So, his is the courtyard. You can come out here to eat if the weathers nice or just hang out with friends." She stopped in the center and glanced up at the blue sky before pulling his hand towards the building on the far side. "This way, Chase~"

"All right, so this is the main building. Your core class will be here. As well as art, music, dance classes. The numbers closest to zero are on the left side going to one hundred as you move right. Second floor if opposite. Starts at 101 on the right and goes up moving left." She had stopped walking but kept her hand around Chase's. She glanced over at him with an un-shown smirk, though truthfully she felt flushed herself from the contact. Taking one step forward she tugged gently again. "Want to see something cool?"
