On the run...err, fly

    Alexandria, otherwise known as Lexi, turned to look at the people standing behind her. Dakota, Kareena, Mid, and Flame - her flock. "You guys ready?" she whispered. It had been easy enough to get out of the dog crates they had been trapped in. I mean, come on, just because they had a small percentage of avian genes didn't mean they weren't human enough to get out of a dog crate. Duh.
    "Once we get out here, we're probably gonna be swarmed by white-coats." Lexi said quietly. "We'll have to fight our way out, then bust through the glass ceiling. You guys ready?"

    Dakota nodded. She'd been waiting for this for a long time. They were finally going to get out of this place!

    Flame smiled daringly.
    "Your kidding right Lexi? We were born to do this remember?"He said with a wink and then nudged Mid who seamed to be dosing off.


    Midnight opened his eyes, which had been closed and focused on Lexi.
    He hadn't been sleeping as any of them would have guessed, no quite the opposite but no one would ever know that.
    "Ready as I'll ever be..."He said with a slight smile.

    Flame flinched at the sound of cracking bones.
    "Why do you always have to do that?"He mumbled the complaint.


    Midnight chuckled and slapped Flame on the back.
    "Don't be such a girl!"He said laughing at Flame.

    "Your one to talk pretty boy..."    Flame said teasingly.


    When flame said that Mid's face went blank, he glared at Flame.

    "Oh, I wish I could fly like you Mid! Then we could go live on Mars together!"    Flame said in a high pitched girly tone.

    "Shut up before I snap your wings..."    Mid said his hands curling into fists.

    "If you can catch me..."    Flame chuckled.

    You may be fast but I'm at least twice as strong as you."Mid said with as if it was just a fact that he would win in a fight.


    "Yeah but strength only matters if you can get your hands on me."Flame said in argument.

    "If your fast all you can do is run away, you'd never even hurt me."    Midnight said cockily.


    "What do you think Kareena, which one of us would win in a fight?"Flam asked Her as they both turned to look at her.

    "Well theres only one way to find out..."Mid said raising his eye brows and giving Flame a daring look.

    "Your on! Lets hurry and bust out of this place so I can kick this kids butt."    He said to Lexi as he nudged Mid with his elbow.

    "Wrong, once we get out of here I will be doing the butt kicking."    Mid said nudging him back as he winked at Lexi.

    "Yes, we often do wonder why... Are we just not good enough for you?"Flame asked with a chuckle as he winked at her.

    "Hey pee brain, are you trying to get beat up?"    Mid asked chuckling at his coment.

    "I want to know the answer.. are we just ugly or what?"    He said to Mid as he shifted his gaze to him.

    "Well you are..."    Mid said scratching his head as though he were pointing out a fact.


    Flame glared at him and punched him in the arm.


    Mid chuckled.

    "Your thing?"Flame said tilting his head to the side.

    "I've never thought of girls as a thing..."    Mid night said chuckling.

    "I'm pretty sure they'd kill us if we did think of them as things..."    Flame said as he turned back to mid with a smile.

    "Well he's only six... but I'm seventeen."Mid said smiling brightly.

    "Psh, whatever your the six year old. I'm 16."    He said turning to her.

    Kareena smiles, " Then you both are old enough to hear this. I don't like guys because I find girls to taste better when we kiss." she smirks. " Now you know, stop fighting before I bash your heads in. "

    The both just stared at each other for a moment. They couldn't disagree but they couldn't agree ether.
    "I don't know I think I'm pretty tasty, if I do say so my self." Mid said raising his eyebrows.

    "Why don't you kiss her and we'll see what she thinks?"    Flame said teasingly as he slapped Mid on the back.

    OOC: omg SOOOOOO sorry guys I been grounded :(


    BIC: Lexi rolled her eyes. She had let in continue for a while, but know was not the time to be goofing off. "Guys! We can settle this later. For now...how about we escape, hmm?"
    She looked around, hey eyes stopping on Mid for a moment, then she blushed and looked away. Ok, so here's the plan. We jump out, and use the element of surprise, plus our enhanced DNA, to beat the living daylights out of anyone who tries to stop us on our way to the Expirimental Room. Then, we bust out of the glass ceiling. Ready? Let's go!"
    Without waiting for a reply, she kicked the door open and flew out, wings extended, all senses alert. Time to kick some butt. She thought with a wry grin.

    OOC: It's okay I was just hoping you didn't go inactive! :)


    IC: Mid met Lexi's eyes with an emotionless stare.
    He wasn't sure why she had looked away so quickly but didn't think to much about it.
    He shook his head in agreement and the punched Flame in the arm again.
    "See ya on the other side girly."He said giving him a daring look.

    "Not If I see you first pretty boy."    Flame said as they both dived for the door.


    Mid barely slid out first Flame coming right out behind him as they got in fighting stance.
