Luumas gave him a small smile, letting her head slightly tilt to the side. "They're a very nice color. They remind me of roses. Even though there aren't really ever any purple roses, they just do." She seemed completely oblivious to the fact that he was blushing, and she was probably making it worse.

Kaleb's face was like a dark red cherry, which just made his eyes stand out more against his red cheeks. "Once a-again, t-t-thank you." He stumbled over his words, shaking his head slightly. Stupid, stupid, stupid...why am I getting so embarrassed? She's just being nice!

She leaned forwards once more, gazing deeply into his light violet optics. Her face wasn't far from his anymore. "Hmmm... Yeah, they remind me of roses, or maybe violets." She nodded her head softly, ears flicking. "Your eyes are always hidden because of the glare in your glasses lens, I guess." She picked up his glasses carefully, looking over them, then lifted them back up to his face and tried to put them back on him, being very careful. She, surprisingly, managed to do it.

After Luumas sucessfully avoided stabbing his eyes out, he fixed his glasses a bit before nodding in thanks, his cheeks still a brilliant shade of vibrant red. His stomach was doing somersaults as he tried to calm himself down.

Luumas flashed him a smile before, grabbing one of her books, leaning back in her chair once more. "It was nice spending a little time with you, but I have a feeling you need to get going to your class." She reminded him in a soft giggle, motioning to a large clock on the wall by the twin doors. "You should get going if you want to make sure you're not late."

Class..? CLASS. He shot up from his chair. "Thank you Luumas!" He squeaked. The boy gave the girl a quick hug and then rushed off to math, his backpack thumping against his shoulder as he went. As he sprinted down the halls, he had a thought. Did he..like Luumas...like more than a friend?

  •

Luumas felt heat flush across her face as Kaleb's arms wrapped around her, just before he ran off. She turned around slightly in her seat, watching him run out and disappear from sight. He had seemed so nice... He was the perfect first friend for her, but she felt that there was more going that had been going on between them in the small amount of time they had talked.

Kaleb had slowed down to a brisk walk, his eyes open for his first class. There it was, room 324. He carefully entered the classroom and sat down. The only other poeple in there were two other students and the teacher. Aparentally, the bell didnt ring for another three minutes, so Kaleb just kinda...sat there, bored.

She let out a soft sigh, settling back down in her chair and grabbing the book she had begun reading. She flipped it open to where she had left off, leaning back once more as her eyes began to scan across the pages. Kaleb kept coming to her mind, though.

Soon after Kaleb got to class, the bell rang. After a while of listening to the professor lecture on and on about triangles, he began to zone out. Thinking about Luumas, of course. Who else would invade his mind so deeply? Do I like her more than a friend? But that's impossible! I just met her...

  •

Luumas couldn't get the thought of Kaleb out of her mind, no matter how hard she tried. She couldn't really get that much into her book, either. Sometimes she would have to reread whole chapters because she zoned out thinking too much. She liked him, she could confirm that much, but was this how friends thought of each other and acted around each other? It could be. What did she know. She had been lonely most of her life.

The bell finally rang for the rest of the day off. It was just a thing the college did every week to let the students unwind from a long day of nothing but work, especially the ones who had math all that morning. He sighed and stuffed his notes into his backpack, sliding his glasses back onto his nose. He left the classroom and headed back to the library. It was around noon, and a lot of people would be going to eat lunch. Would Luumas still be there..?

Luumas still was. She had migrated to a couch and was laying on her back, one leg hanging off the edge and the book held just above her face. The tip of her long cat tail was poking out from the bottom of her skirt, brushing along the floor with every little twitch and movement. She was absorbed in what she was reading, finally able to focus on the words.

Kaleb netered the library quietly, readjusting his backpack. He spotted Luumas and a sly smile snuck onto his face. He silently tip-toed over to the couch, trying desperately not to be heard. He crouched down behind the arm of the couch, seeing how long it would take for the girl to notice him.

One of her cat ears flicked, and she moved the book slowly away from her face, a curious look on her face. "Kaleb?" She asked quietly, trying to twist around so she could see who it was. She wound up knocking a couple of other books off the couch that she was reading, but she didn't really seem to care much.

"Hi Luumas!" He chirped sofly, a huge smile on his face and his violet eyes sparklign behind his glasses. He picke dup some of the toppled over book and set them back on the table. Kaleb then plopped down on the couch. "Still reading?" He asked, tilting his head.

  •

She simply shrugged as she sat up, stretching out her arms up above her head. "Why not? It's more enjoyable then unpacking my things and setting up my dorm. She said with a soft snicker, picking up the book she had been reading when he walked in. It wasn't the one she had been reading earlier in the day.

"True. Very true." Kaleb responded, leaning his head back. He slipped off his glasses and placed them on the table next to the books, rubbing his eyes and yawning tiredly. The teenager ruffled his hair with his fingers and sighed quietly.

  •

She nodded her head slowly, gazing down at the book in her hands, then glancing up at him. "What is your favorite genre of books? Mine's Horror." She looked back down at the book, a smile on her face as she ran a hand over the cover.

Kaleb glanced over at Luumas, thinking for a second. "Fantasy, for sure. Horror...well, it kinda scares me. I'm kind of a crybaby." The boy confessed, rubbing the back of his neck nervously. To tell the truth, horror didn't just scare him. It terrified him where he didn't sleep for a few days at a time.
