Teenagers in LA

Hello Nina. Welcome to GettoKnowYourCharacter radio. Thank you for agreeing to do this video. The first question is, Describe your daily life on a school day.

Nina: On school days, me and Aspen usually have kind of a set schedule. I drive to school around 7:45 and get to school 8. Then, me and Aspen do whatever we want for 15 minutes, then school starts. After school, I have cheer practice from 3:15 to 5:45. Aspen comes and watches, and does her homework at the same time. Then, she and I go home, and I do my homework. Then I go to Starbucks, and meet with Aspen. We chat over coffee and a pastry, and sometimes discuss homework. Then we head home, and I finish the homework I hadn’t finished. Then I go to bed. Oh, and I eat all weekdays and don’t on weekends.

Ok, well, Why don’t you eat on those days?

Nina: Well, I am as I like to call it, semi-anorexic. I want to have energy for cheerleading, but also want to keep my figure. Therefore, I eat on weekdays, and don’t on weekends.

Ok, now, What do you do on your day off?

Nina: I already told you I don’t eat, so here is my average weekend. I usually sleep until about 10 or 10:30. Then I get up and work on homework. After that, I usually hang out with Aspen. We either go to the movies or the beach, or somewhere like that. Sometimes, she has piano concerts. I always go to those. I think it is cool, and enjoy watching her fingers make music. When I get home, I go for a 5 mile jog to warm up, then stretch, and work on cheer routines. so yeah

Thank you. Where do you live, and where did you grow up? Tell me about your experiences there/here.

Nina: Well, I have lived in LA my whole life, in what you might call a mansion. I live on Holmby Hills. Aspen is my next door neighbor, and yeah. It is always sunny here, and we live only a few blocks from the beach. Our ‘mansion’ is pretty big, and we have about 500 acres of land total. We have a large garden, my mothers pride, even though our gardener tends to most of it. We also have 3 swimming pools and 2 jacuzzis. Two of the pools are outside. One is the size of an Olympic swimming pool, and one is smaller. The one inside is also the size of an Olympic pool. I guess you could say my life is luxurious. I have a large bedroom with a king size bed, and a Flat Screen TV. Its widths are 90 inch by 120 inch. My closet is 50 feet square, and packed full. I have drawers and hangers all around the outside, and in neat rows along the middle. So yeah, I think that’s all.

Well then. Money seems to surround you. Tell me how is this?

Nina: (sigh and eye roll). My dad is a surgeon. A plastic surgeon more exactly. He also owns a really successful CD to MP3 business with Aspens father. My mom is and actress, a model, and owns her own fashion brand(whatever you call it). She had her modeling break (through) halfway through college. She had been a model since high school, and was discovered by Dolce and Gabbana. She had her acting breakthrough when I was 3, and my dad started his business with Aspens dad. I don’t remember this, but six months later, we moved from some middle neighborhood to this house. My mom started her fashion line when I was 10. I am currently 16.

Ok thank you, that explains a lot. Now, How did you celebrate your sweet 16, and how are you planning on celebrating 17, and 18 ?

Nina: Please don’t write this down. It’s kind of embarrassing. For my sweet 16, we only booked a country club in the middle of Hollywood. We invited a few celebrities in, but not much. Then me and Aspen went to the Caribbean together.

No problem, now back to the story...
Nina: Anyway, because of this incident, I decided to make up for it with my sweet 17 and sweet 18 (or whatever they are called)
For my sweet 17, me and 29 or so other people including Aspen, my dad, and Andy, are traveling in our private jet the Gulfstream V to Paris. We are going to all stay in presidential suites at a five star hotel in the middle of Paris, and have the party under, in, and around the Eiffel Tower. Food in the middle, the main party underneath, and the VIP section up top. We have hired people to shoot up fireworks at exactly 11:49, the time I was born. For my 18th birthday, we are inter railing around Italy, stopping at places such as Milano, the capitol of fashion, and Venice, one of the cities of love and the city on water. I don’t know the details yet.

Wow, you sound like your life is perfect. May I call you Mary Sue?

Nina: Dear lord no. I really hate doing this, but here are the bad parts about me.
I
Sometimes am snotty and rude.
only see the bad parts in bad situations
am not very humble, ask Aspen.
wouldn’t be able to survive a day as a poor girl, or in the wild
have a rebellious side that sometimes can be seen.
