People flocked to their shining walls, which were a beacon of hope in the apocalyptic times.

Bimun was the largest of these, and took in many refuges. People were happy.
50 years have passed. The propaganda you watch is intended to make you believe that the same society founded on the principles of love and peace still exists.
Don't believe a word.

For this shiny city has a flip side. The powerful people, the administration that surrounds the tyrant live in the middle of Bimun on a lake, whose only bridge is heavily protected by police, and they enjoy clean, crime-free lives there.

The common people live in the slums, crowded together, unhealthy, nothing to look forward to at the end of the day except drinking themselves to sleep.
The tower in the distance is part of the shining eye of the city where the powerful live, mocking the common people that they will never be good enough.

A resistance was formed. Working underground, they plan, they hope, they fight.
The big question is: Whose side are you on? Do you sit on cushions, or struggle to survive?

She is actually the daughter of an ex-high official, but does not know it.
Most of her family is dead or in prison, but she considers the people of the Resistance her second family.

"I helped to found it. I just couldn't live for one more minute without doing something."

Personality:
While she takes the Resistance seriously, she is usually easy-going and laid-back around her friends. She is very loyal, and would do anything for the Resistance.
While her stubborn, proud, often hot-headed attitude sometimes causes trouble, she will never back down from a fight. She is usually smart enough not to do something stupid or reckless. She is very strong-willed and determined, but can often be seen cracking jokes or encouraging others.
She is a bit too trusting, too gullible, but if hurt, she turns cold, and it is near impossible to get back into her good graces. When angry, she typically volunteers for missions, but if sad, she tends to find a quiet corner and mope a little.
Underneath her tough, sarcastic shell, she has a kind heart, but it would never be shown to anyone from Bimun. To the tyrant and his underlings, she would not pause a moment to take vengeance for the people they have killed and the lives they have ruined. She can be harsh in her punishments, despite her conscience.

History:
She was raised by her mother, her father never being in the picture. When she was five, her mother married a baker from down the street, and nine months later, Dessa had twin little brothers. She was very protective of them, especially after their mother died in a factory accident, when the little boys were 3 and Dessa 8.
When Dessa was 13, the boys' father was arrested because cookies bought for the tyrant 'did not have enough chocolate chips'. Dessa could not run the bakery, so it was taken by the government, thus Dessa started stealing to make ends meet. She tried to keep the boys safe at home, both because it was dangerous work, and they were small for their age from lack of food, but one day they followed her. They were only nine, and could not keep up as she ran from police officers. She did not know they were there until they screamed as the police took them away. She couldn't save them, and stopped caring for herself.
She found herself one day, a year later, in the middle of the street during the 'Peace Day' parade, where the tyrant's carriage passed the throngs of people in the streets. She found herself staring into the window of the carriage, the tyrant's emotionless eyes meeting hers. Rage filled her. She did not know she had punched the window until she felt the pain in her hand. She ran, chased by the police, and scurried down a sewer grate. She found herself in a tunnel, and continued on, knowing there was little life left for her above.
She found the headquarters, and founded the Resistance with _______.

Personality:
Barry is very intelligent, and he knows it. He is used to getting his way, and quite stubborn. He is often arrogant and proud, which can lead to him making bad decisions, and obsessing over the Resistance, the piece of the city that stands out of his control. He is the epitome of a control-freak.
He is slightly insane, partially from his upbringing and the guilt of killing his brother, partially because that's his disposition. Anna keeps him sane, calms his rage as he lashes out for no apparent reason. He doesn't know why, other than he has with her an understanding.
He rules the city with an iron grip, and doesn't care who gets in his way, so long as he gets what he wants.

History:
He was born the second son. Born to be nothing more than his older brother's punching bag and adviser, doing his dirty work. He was taught that every day while his brother received special lesson to prepare him for ruling. If Barry didn't do his brother's homework correctly (he was forced to by his brother, the tutors did not know), his brother would not be kind. If his brother did something wrong, it was Barry who received the punishment.
Plans grew and darkened in the young boy's mind. During his brother's 15th birthday party, he pushed his brother off of the balcony, then turned to the guests, and said, "Oops, looks like I'm next in line."
He hated his spoiled, demented brother, but the stress and guilt of killing his brother weighed on him. After the birthday party, he was the spoiled one, people ran out of his way. His frustration turned to rage, the rage that fuels him as a tyrant, after his father died of poisoning. Barry accused his father's cabinet of advisers of plotting against his father and killing him, and sentenced them all to death.
He hired his own new people, and Anna became his Head Adviser, and soon his friend. She keeps him sane, and when she's around the death toll lowers.
