• Honeydapple purred. "I'm so excited and scared, it is my first litter after all! I cant wait to see my little ones scurrying around the nursery...I just wish Owlfeather was here..." Honeydapple sighed at the last part.

Lionfang's ears dropped and felt a pang of sympathy for the young Queen. "Owlfeather was a great warrior Honeydapple...he would be so proud of you..." Lionfang meowed softly as he touched his nose to her shoulder comfortingly.

    .: Lunapaw :.
Lunapaw padded into the camp, a thrush hanging from her maw. Her icy blue gaze swept over the cats in camp as she headed for the freshkill pile. Where's Sandpaw? She thought, setting the prey on top of the pile. She parted her jaws to locate him, but her brother's scent was faint. What am I doing? He can take cat of himself... With a grunt, the small cat headed out to collect her other prey.

    .: Sandpaw :.
Sandpaw sat on the river's edge, his eyes carefully watched the fish swim by. He always thought that fish were the hardest prey to catch and he enjoyed testing his abilities. When a somewhat large fish came by, his paw darted into the cool water, missing the prey by an inch. "Fox-dung!" He muttered as he grew still again, waiting for another opportunity.

  • Blizzardpaw wasn't displeased with his mentor what so ever, he honestly didn't care- but the pure fact he was treated different than another kit infuriated him. The snow Bengal fidgeted where he sat, her icy oculars staying glued to the ground. The conversation hadn't gotten far and Blizzardpaw was intrigued as to who Nightkit would choose. Blizzardpaw himself was really only interested to impress, though he wasn't entirely aware of it. His heart just seemed to harden. Blizzardpaw had watched his own siblings and mother be slaughtered by his father. Blizzardpaw sighed inwardly, his emotions jumbled.

  • Hawkkit's unblinking gaze remained locked on Shadowstar's as he spoke. She had an uncanny habit of staring cats down when they spoke to her. She never fidgeted, never looked away, never showed any signs of unease or discomfort--or any other emotion, for that matter. She simply stared, her gaze measured and unfaltering. As Shadowstar finished speaking, however, a rare flicker of emotion crossed her gaze. She blinked in surprise, her eyes studying his own for any sign of teasing or spite. But she couldn't find any. He looked completely serious.

The surprise faded from Hawkkit's gaze as quickly as it had come, and the same nonchalant demeanor as before settled over her. She could feel the eyes of others burning into the back of her skull, but she paid it no mind. She simply remained silent, studying Shadowstar with the look of vague interest that she always seemed to direct towards others. She wasn't sure why he had given her the opportunity to voice her opinions on who she wanted as mentor. As far as she knew, it wasn't custom in a clan. She couldn't remember ever having done anything to catch the eye of the clan leader--so why her? The beginnings of a frown tugged at her lips, but she managed to suppress the urge. Shadowstar wasn't any more proud of her than the other apprentices. Sure, she was a bit different, that fact was obvious. But why should that make her any more special? No...Shadowstar was testing her. For what, she didn't know. But she would have to make her words count, or else land herself under the eyes of suspicion.

"I don't mean to sound unappreciative, Shadowstar. But I don't think there are any options open for me to choose from. Every warrior here already has an apprentice," she murmured, her gaze drifting around camp as she eyed each warrior in turn before coming to rest on Shadowstar once more. "Apart from Honeydapple, of course. But I don't think that Honeydapple would be able to manage taking on an apprentice. Not with her kits on the way." Hawkkit cocked her head slightly, almost in a curious, bird-like manner. She smiled--only the slightest curve of her lips. There was something mocking about the sudden glimmer in her eyes, something almost smug about the ghost of a smile that graced her face.

You want to find some reason not to trust me? Fine. I'm willing to play your little game, Shadowstar.

"Unless you are willing to take me on as your apprentice, it appears as if I've been left without any options at all."

    --

Pepperedstep trudged across camp, dragging his kill over to the fresh kill pile. Any kits standing in the way at the time might have been flattened, as he stared directly ahead, with no intentions of moving aside for anyone or anything. He wasn't angry at anything in particular. He was simply tired. More often than not, his weariness translated over into irritation. In other words, he could be quite the old grump. Even though there were a small number of things that cheered him up, it always proved best to simply leave him be during one of his 'moods.' The large cat dragged a mouse away from the pile, settling down beneath a solitary tree in the rear of the camp and nearly devouring it whole. He then rested his head on his paws, gazing out at the rest of the cats as everyone began to return from their hunting trips.

    --

"Alright, Silvershadow. No mumbling. No stuttering. No excuses. Just the truth. You were angry. Bad mood. Needed alone time. Anger makes a cat do stupid things, right? He of all cats should know that. Besides, there are still evening patrols that need to be arranged. You still have time to redeem yourself..."

Silvershadow continued to try in vain to reassure herself that she wouldn't have to face Shadowstar's wrath as camp rapidly came into view; however, the closer the got, the more apprehensive she felt. Silvershadow had never been a very confrontational cat. In fact, as an apprentice, she had been considerably flighty. Of course, Silvershadow had grown somewhat more responsible with age. Somewhat. Even so, her level of maturity still had a bit of catching up to do. And so, like any young apprentice, she feared retribution. Which is why she had such difficulty owning up to her mistakes. But now, she stood only a few pawsteps away from the camp entrance, and she couldn't really prolong the situation. So, dropping her kills beside the camp entrance, she strode in with her head held high and her chest puffed out, loudly announcing her entrance.

It would be an understatement to say that she was a tad bit dramatic.

"Alright Shadowstar, before you start making accusations, I'd like to say one thing. I don't think it's fair that--that...." she trailed off, blinking when she realized that Shadowstar wasn't waiting for her with claws unsheathed. He didn't look angry, or disappointed...in fact, he wasn't even paying attention to her. Instead, he seemed to be having quite the serious discussion with Hawkkit. Silvershadow cleared her throat, taking a few steps away from the two. After a single moment of hesitation, she scrambled back over to where she'd dropped her prey by the camp entrance.

"Sheesh...that was close. Do you think he noticed me?" She mumbled under her breath around a mouthful of fur, her gaze flicking over to where Sootskies sat across the way.

  • Shadowstar mimicked the small kit's actions, almost unconsciously. He was used to trying to understand his enemies before striking. Breath like them, think like them. Shadowstar was aware that Hawkkit could hardly prove to be a problem, but he was used to being in tune with others, particularly cats he didn't trust, it came as naturally as breathing.

Hawkkit was right. Shadowstar had known that there were no available warriors for mentoring but he had wondered if the young kit had noticed it as well. Hawkkit was proving to be more observant and intelligent than her peers, it would be interesting to mentor her himself. Also he was sensed that she was going to be trouble, and it would be better to keep her close and learn more about her along the way.

Parting his jaws to speak Shadowstar barely got a word out before Silvershadow had burst into the conversation stumbling over her words. While he had noticed her entrance into camp, and while he may not admit it, he was all the more relieved, talking to Hawkkit hadn't distracted him from worrying about Silvershadow. Although he hadn't predicted her to interrupt his conversation with Hawkkit, he thought that she would at least have the common sense to notice that he had been talking to someone else. Before he could respond to whatever she was going to say, his deputy scrambled off.

With a barely concealed sigh he turned back to Hawkkit. "I see. Well I'll have to discuss with my deputy before we decide who will mentor you. Perhaps it will end up being me, but nothing is for certain. We will be having your ceremony shortly, be prepared." he told her. Generally when speaking to kits he used a softer tone but speaking with Hawkkit was different, she showed no emotions, and was impossible to read. Finishing up with the kit, he bid her goodbye before padding over to his deputy. He meowed a greeting to Sootskies, who was sitting nearby. Saying nothing to Silvershadow he merely sat down, waiting expectantly for her no doubt, long-winded excuse. Maybe she would at least have the sense to not speak loudly and keep the illusion that she was a focused professional.

    ...

Stripetail touched his tail to Honeydapple's flank. He felt sorry for the young queen, her mate had died from Greencough. "He'll be watching you from Starclan," he mewed comfortingly. Feeling the weight of the depressing mood somewhat weighing him down Stripetail tried to lighten things up a bit. "Hey have some prey, you'll need to eat if you want beautiful, healthy kits." he purred cheerfully.

  • Honeydapple looked up to Stripetail and smiled generously. "Thank you Stripetail, I will, and I'm sure these little critters are hungry too" she meowed as she picked up a rabbit from the pile then looked up to the two warriors and nodded her goodbye and wobbled away to the nursery.

Lionfang watched the Queen disappear into the nursery then looked back over to Stripetail.
"It's going to be great having new kits in the clan! It has been a while" Lionfang meowed excitedly.

  • Sootskies nodded to the cats who had greeted her. The ebony feline's apprentice was somewhere she didn't know- so training was off for now. The black feline wasn't particularly into conversing especially because she had nothing to talk about. The tall feline was somewhat socially awkward, though her appearance was slender yet brute-like, Sootskies really only showed her skill and personality in battle. The feline flicked her tail grumpily as she relaxed, sprawled out.

Blizzardpaw now didn't care as to who heard or saw him angry. The tom growled before stomping up to Shadowstar and Silvershadow. His expression was very displeased. It seemed as though even when the tom was almost grown up he was still not impressive enough to be spoken to like an adult. A kit did better than him! The Bengal shot Shadowstar a look of betrayal. It was clear Blizzardpaw had not proven anything to Shadowstar yet in his life. Maybe the leader had given up on him? His father had killed all of his family, so maybe that made him less reliable? Whatever it was Blizzardpaw was unhappy. "Silvershadow I would like to train. Now." the tom requested, wanting to stretch his claws. His voice sounded disgruntled and the look in his eyes was less angry then it was broken.

    .: Sandpaw :.
Sandpaw shot his paw into the cold water, hooking the big fish that had been moving so sluggishly through the water. The slimy creature sailed through the air and landed on the sandy river bank. Without hesitation, Sandpaw pounced, dealing the killing blow and waiting for the prey to go still. The sandy cat grinned, pleased with his catch. He hoped that the large freshkill would make up for how long he had been out of camp to hunt. He figured not many cats enjoyed fish, but it was his favourite. He held his tail high and hauled the heavy catch back towards camp, even though it was almost as big as he was.
He passed his sister, who wore a masked expression as usual. He stopped where she was digging, setting his catch down in the grass. "Whatcha doin?" He asked.

    .: Lunapaw :.
The black feline had returned to where she had buried her last piece of prey and was pawing at it when her brother came by managing a fish that seemed too big for him to carry. She stopped what she was doing and turned to him. "What does it look like i'm doing?" Lunapaw said with a hint of annoyance. "I'm gathering my kill." Sandpaw's eyes lit up. "Great! We can carry in our prey together." He said with a slight hop. Lunapaw rolled her eyes and picked up the rabbit she chased down earlier. Sometimes her kin acted as if they were still kits, as if their mother was still around and everything was fine and dandy. Well, it wasn't. She wished he would just grow up. "Whatever." She muttered, padding towards camp once more, not bothering to check if he was behind her.
She headed straight for the freshkill pile as soon as they entered camp. Unless her mentor had something planned for the day, she wanted to be far away from everyone else.

    .: Sandpaw :.
Sandpaw followed Lunapaw, feeling a bit hurt. He knew she was grumpy all the time, and didnt get along well with other cats, but she could at least be..pleasant, for once. He shrugged of the feeling and followed her, setting his piece of prey next to hers. Licking his lips, her looked around till his gaze found Sootskies. He trotted over to where she was sprawled out and asked, "Are we doing anything today?"

  • "Anything to get out of here." The ebony feline answered. She pulled her slender frame off the ground before flicking her tail for the tom to follow. The slim feline headed off and out of camp, baring the plain expression of nothing really interesting. Watching Blizzardpaw interrupt like that was bound to cause some type of trouble and just Silvershadow and Shadowstar in general. Plus the fae didn't particularly want to dwell by the likes of Stripetail. Sootskies had dropped the early scuffle, but it was still fresh in her mind. It amused Sootskies as to how far she'd take a little thing- though It was too far to turn back now.

    .: Lunapaw :.
She watched Blizzardpaw through narrow sapphire eyes. Who ruffled his fur? She, for one, would never have displayed anger so openly. Sure, she had her moments but she liked to keep her emotions hidden and her expression plain. In her mind it was better to be unreadable. She sighed and gave her white-peppered black fur a couple of licks, smoothening down the fluff. As she looked up she noticed Sootskies leaving camp, followed by Sandpaw. She paid him no mind, only glancing their way as they left the camp. Her brother's eyes met hers for only a heartbeat and then he was gone. Not wanting to sit around doing nothing, she plucked a small mouse off of the pile behind her and moved somewhere quiet to eat. She figured that since she already went hunting today she was at least allowed to eat a little. Either way, she didn't really care. She watched the camp silently from the shadows, not particularly tasting the small morsel. Her gaze found Stripetail. She wondered if she, like Sandpaw, would be learning anything new. She prayed that if her mentor did indeed have something planned for the day, it was battle training.

    .: Sandpaw :.
Sandpaw was slightly taken aback, curious as to why she was so eager to leave camp, but at her signal he quickly followed his mentor. He wondered what they were going to do today. Perhaps they were going to practice battle moves. Or maybe more hunting. He turned his head to see Lunapaw sitting beside the freshkill pile. She obviously seemed interested in something else, but he noticed that she cast a quick glance in his direction before they left camp. The sand coloured tom shrugged, keeping pace behind Sootskies.

  • Sootskies glanced behind her to check if Sandpaw was trailing behind. The ebony feline slowed her pace after they were a few fox-lengths away, matching his step. The tall feline was much larger then Sandpaw in high, but not particularly in muscle. She didn't surpass many in that category, though her technique in battle made her a formidable foe. The slender feline had a lithe appearance, her paws as small as any apprentices'. Sootskies headed to the river area, enjoying looking at the water. That's not what she would be doing today though.
Sootskies had wanted to leave camp the second she set foot back in it. There was something in the air that just scented trouble. Sootskies- not open with her feelings, but when she does open up she's grumpy about it- didn't speak a word. She expressed a calm demeanor trying to figure out what the issue was. Somewhat out of character, the bleak feline turned her indigo peripherals toward the sandy apprentice before parting her jaws to speak. "Sorry I wanted to get out of there so quick. The awkward in there was giving my chest pains," the feline chuckled before clearing her voice. "What would you like to work on today?" she asked solemnly.

  • Hawkkit smiled softly at Shadowstar's words, dipping her head in acknowledgement. Despite his words, she took great satisfaction in the fact that the leader of Emberclan was soon to be her mentor. All of his talk about speaking with the deputy and taking the time to deliberate over who her mentor would be was all for show. Of course, she understood the necessity of keeping up appearances; otherwise, it would seem as if he were choosing favorites. But the fact of the matter was that everyone had apprentices already--there were no other options. Either he would be her mentor, or she would be left without one.

"I will be. Thank you, Shadowstar."

Her eyes followed him as he walked away, heading off to deal with the troublesome deputy. She watched the two for a few moments, vaguely curious as to how the situation would play out; however, a low growl nearby drew her thoughts away from the quarrelsome duo, and she turned her gaze towards Blizzardpaw, who looked none too happy about the outcome of things. She blinked, watching as he padded up to Shadowstar and Silvershadow and demanded to go out for training. She cocked her head in that same, bird-like manner as before. Did he really expect for Shadowstar to think well of him by behaving in such a way? Hawkkit herself had never been one to anger very quickly. She always treated her elders with respect, even if they were undeserving of it. Many would consider it kissing up, but she had simply learned at a very young age to always know her place. Even so, she was constantly regarded with suspicion and distrust. It was as if possessing a little more maturity than the other kits and young apprentices her age was so uncommon for these clan cats that she was singled out for it! Of course, she didn't mind being something of a pariah in the clan. In time, these cats would come to trust her. Or be dealt with before they had good reason not to. But one couldn't rush these things.

Patience, after all, was a virtue.

    --

Silvershadow stared down at her paws, absentmindedly shuffling at the ground. Every once in a while, she glanced up at where Shadowstar stood speaking to Hawkkit, her eyes darting back to the ground before he had the opportunity to catch her watching and shoot her a disappointed look. Anyone looking her way might think she had some kind of nervous tick from the way her gaze continuously darted up, down, up, down, up...

    "Gah! Shadowstar!"

She nearly jumped out of her skin when she glanced up a final time to see the charcoal tom sitting in front of her, staring directly at her. She stared back at him with wide eyes, taken aback by his sudden appearance. A few awkward moments of silence passed between them, in which Silvershadow fought to compose her thoughts. In the time that it had taken for him to finish speaking with Hawkkit and make his way over to Silvershadow, all of her earlier confidence had all but disappeared. Now, she feared to open her mouth, for she knew that she would only stumble over her words in an attempt to find some excuse, rattling off anything that came to mind. She'd make an outright fool of herself! Feeling somewhat cornered, she let out a breath, looked him in the eyes, and opened her mouth to make some audacious statement that would surely earn her double patrol duty...only to be interrupted by Blizzardpaw as he approached and demanded to be taken out for training. Almost immediately, she turned her attention to him, disregarding Shadowstar completely.

"Of course! Sorry that I wasn't around to take you out earlier. We'll leave right away." She flashed Shadowstar a sweet, almost knowing grin. There was a bit of a challenge in her eyes as she spoke again. "I'm sorry, Shadowstar, did you need something? No, I suppose not. Well, it looks like I have an apprentice to attend to. Don't worry, I'll be back in time enough to organize evening patrols. Come on, Blizzardpaw." And with that, she was gone, gesturing for Blizzardpaw to follow.

The post was edited 1 time, last by ˹ҺурєгAпaгсну˺ ().

  • Blizzardpaw huffed treading after the feline. "Do I even get a 'Nice save'?" the tom asked sarcastically. He was angered, but that didn't mean he couldn't play off his interruption as assistance. He did care for the deputy in a way that she was his mentor and he had to respect her, and he also received praise. Blizzardpaw had to admit that Silvershadow really did need a save at that moment- the feline would have made an imprudent remark within minutes if she was not assisted. The white Bengal sped up his pace until he matched her step. The tom was lucky to have Silvershadow as his mentor before all the warriors were even used up. The tom continued to reassure himself that Hawkkit wasn't just special. All cats had to be special in their own ways right? Blizzardpaw flexed his claws as he continued onward, his imagination telling him the opposite of what he wanted to hear. His hopeful reassurance was drowned by a few simple words that seemed to glow from the back of his mind. You mean nothing. Though Blizzardpaw did not want to, he supported the little voice in his head. Maybe if he was important, his father would have paid more attention. Maybe then his family would still be alive. Blizzardpaw softened his gaze, keeping it low. He should not have interrupted out of anger. He should have had good intentions, but he didn't, nor did he desire to. Blizzardpaw rolled into the dark side in and out like the waves on the shore. He was stuck feeling sorry for himself, though he tried to know better of it. The tom sighed inwardly. What was the meaning of his existence?

  • Shadowstar narrowed his eyes barely containing his anger at Silvershadow and Blizzardpaw's retreating forms. First, she had skipped out of camp disregarding her duties, then, when he had been expecting a reasonable explanation, Silvershadow took the first opportunity to leave camp. Perhaps he was being overdramatic, most likely because he had been worrying about Silvershadow non-stop and right when she gets back, she leaves. Making a quick note in the back of his mind to reprimand Blizzardpaw for being so rude, he wiped all traces of anger from his eyes. Padding towards the fresh-kill pile, Shadowstar greeted the cats there pleasantly before picking a squirrel from the pile and retreating to his own den.

    ....

Stripetail smiled gently at Honeydapple as she left before turning to Lionfang. "Yeah! I can't wait, I'm sure they're going to be adorable." he replied before meowing a quick greeting to his leader. Noticing Lunapaw standing near the fresh-kill pile all alone, he realized that he had neglected to train her all day. "Oh, sorry Lionfang I've got to go train my apprentice! Unless you want to come?" he inquired, although he was not waiting for the tom to respond, quickly moving towards Lunapaw. "Hey Lunapaw! Sorry about not being around in the morning. I had a patrol. Do you want to train now?" Stripetail asked brightly.

  • OOC: Ok guys, as soon as the last two kits of Honeydapple are adopted, I'll have her give birth :3

Lionfang nodded in greeting as his leader past and followed Stripetail.
"Sure, I don't know where my apprentice is so I may as well come along" Lionfang agreed as he nodded greeting towards Lunapaw.

  • { i might take one, if no one ends up swiping him~ it might be pretty hard rping four cats, though, so i'll leave my choice up for grabs until i'm sure there's no one else who wants him x3 }

Silvershadow let out the breath that she had been holding as she slipped out into the forest; once again, she had managed to avoid confrontation, with the added benefit of getting to spend some time showing off battle techniques. Content with the outcome of things, she glanced momentarily at the young apprentice as they walked, grinning slightly at his words.

"I'm an awful influence, aren't I?" She stuck out her chest, lifting her nose high up into the air. "Blizzardpaw, if there's one thing you learn from me," she began, taking on the mocking tone of some wise, learned sage. "I want it to be that you should always own up to your mistakes and remember to always take your responsibilities seriously." She paused, her expression thoughtful. "Actually, I...I suppose that makes two things. Very well then, two things!" She declared with a self-satisfied nod. Despite her amused tone, a hint of guilt managed to creep into her voice. She had neglected her duties not one today, but twice--and here she was making light of it. In front of her apprentice, no less. She pushed the thought away, trying to ignore the nagging feeling of guilt that continued to claw at her stomach.

"I say we go find some real cats to practice battle techniques on," she mused, catching wind of the other cats out training in the forest. "Do you think Sootskies and Sandpaw would mind if we paid them a nice little surprise visit? They wouldn't even hear us coming. Whadya say, Blizzard...paw?" She trailed off, her earlier excitement fading away to make place for concern as she glanced down at the apprentice, who gazed forlornly at the ground. All earlier traces of anger were gone. He simply looked...dejected. Silvershadow watched him in silence for a few moments, considering how best to console him. Since his naming ceremony, Silvershadow had picked up on his volatile disposition; his mood seemed to change with the direction of the wind. It was a wonder that she'd managed to get along with the temperamental young apprentice so well. Silvershadow had never been great with kits or apprentices. She herself was still very young for a warrior, and she tended to lose her patience with them fairly quickly. But when it came to Blizzardpaw, she tried to be a little more understanding of him than the others, if only for the mere fact that he was her apprentice. Apart from the bond that they shared as mentor and apprentice, however, she also couldn't deny the fact that she felt a strange familiarity to him. With his fiery ambition and double-sided nature, being at one moment quick-tempered and full of vexation, and amiable at another, she was constantly reminded of a young Shadowstar when she was in his presence. And though she wasn't sure of the extent of his troubles, she didn't want to see the young cat go through the same inner turmoil that her old friend once had.

"Hey, don't let that mouse-brain ruffle your fur. I know that it would be easy to make an enemy of him, but I wouldn't try to hold anything against him. He's always been a difficult cat. If snapping at him makes you feel better, then do it. He probably deserves it," she murmured. He was quite obviously upset, and given the sharp look he'd sent Shadowstar's way before they left, she could only assume that he was the source of Blizzardpaw's foul mood. She wasn't quite sure yet what Shadowstar had done, but she didn't doubt that he'd done something to get under Blizzardpaw's fur, and she didn't want him to believe that he was at fault for whatever had happened, given that Shadowstar could probably blame a cat for a bout of bad weather.

"Anyway, you should focus on your training. Not trying to please some grouchy old tom." She flicked the tip of her tail across his ears, running on ahead of him. "One day, it might just be you curling up in the leader's den. And Shadowstar's opinion won't matter then. But we have to prioritize with these things--first, your training. Then, we can start planning for your trip to the moonpool."
After a few moments, she paused, glancing back over her shoulder at him. A hint of mischief glinted in her eyes as she watched him, the hints of a smile creeping onto her face.

"Besides...I'm the one you should be trying to impress."

Flashing him a wicked grin, she raced on ahead, calling back to him as she went. "Now, come on. How are you ever gonna become the best warrior in all of Emberclan if you can't even keep up with an old bag like me?"

occ: twitches as i get second thoughts about blizzard <3

ic: Blizzardpaw was surprised how much his mentor's words could change his attitude. Sure she wasn't entirely correct about her assumptions. The deputy had not even been in camp at the time, but that wasn't all that bothered him. Blizzardpaw always had something to bather him if he knew it or not. The white Bengal began to perk up a bit at Silvershadow's words. The tom had to admit he didn't had so much ambition to lead- just to be- well... better. Leading the clan would be an extreme accomplishment, though, he figured he couldn't do it. The deputy was probably just attempting to get him in better spirits. The tom had to confess though- even with his horrid mood swings and his cooling heart, Silvershadow was the closest cat to him. he actually preferred to impress her over the others, though it wouldn't make too much of a difference. What the feline said was right, though, It really was up to her.

Pulling his butt out of his thoughts the well-muscled tom ran after Silvershadow. He didn't reply, still holding a somewhat disappointed look. It wasn't an easy thing to hide, but happiness was. However hard the tom tried to hide it, his smile had to go somewhere. The tom's eyes were bright with courage and his claws raked up the fallen leaves. He ripped his body across the ground, quickly catching up to Silvershadow. Blizzardpaw's pelt rippled as he pressed his ears against his cranium, helping him speed up. He couldn't get much further than her as he began to run out of gas and instead matched her step.

  • OOC: I'm sorry for being so unactive. I've had like a gazillion tests and homework and softball and music and all stuff that is driving me crazy. SORRY!!

IC: Stripetail grinned cheerfully at Lionfang,"Thanks! I'm sure Lunapaw will appreciate the extra pair of eyes evaluating her!" he meowed. Stripetail didn't wait for a response from Lunapaw and hurried out of camp, yowling behind him, "LET'S GO TRAIN AT THE OAK TREE." Once out of camp Stripetail felt free, released of his responsibilities and picked up his pace from a trot to a quick, steady job. "C'mon you lazy furballls!" he yelled, good-naturedly.

    .: Lunapaw :.
Lunapaw dipped her head in greeting as Stripetail approached. "Sure. I've nothing better to do." She replied. Her voice rang with a hint of annoyance, though she tried to supress it. Why does everyone have to be so chipper? "So, are we leaving now?" She asked, trying her best to sound upbeat.

    .: Sandpaw :.
Sandpaw trotted behind Sootskies, glancing at the river as the passed. He always enjoyed the water, the way it felt, the sound of it as it rushed by. As he was gazing at the clear liquid, he became increasing aware of the noise he was making. His bulk created a noticible thud with every pawstep, with a hiss of annoyance, he began to tread with more care. That's better.
He jumped when his mentor spoke. He hadn't realized she was right next to him. "I, it's fine. Anything to get away from Lunapaw's grumpiness." he replied with a sigh. He turned his head towards her as he added, "How about battle training?"
