    I ruffled Nicki's fur before wallking out the door and started looking down a hallway with interest. I started to get to the rooms, glancing around until I foumd one, opening the door and glancing around. I smiled at it and nodded. This would be my room.

    I bounded happily after the new human, my tail wagging. I liked this human. She was calm and nice. I trotted over to the window, one of the few that hadn't been boarded up. I raised up my front paws so they were on the windowsill and stared out at the street. The sun was nearly gone. I whined loudly and dragged my paw down the glass. Oh, how I wished mistress could go outside and walk me again.

    IC:: I tilted my head curiously at Nicki. I smiled a little at her then looked down at the ground, brushing off the bed and pillows. I finally then just sat on the bed, holding my knees close, resting my chin on my knees as I thought for a few moments. What if they come after me? I'll be putting them in danger along with myself. What if they get one of the two of them and threaten to hurt them? I was in deep thought now. Then a thought struck my mind. I have never really had friends before. It's been about..five years..everything went down hill after that.. What if it has to stay that way? I gave a soft sigh and hid my face in my hands.

I lowered my paws from the windowsill and padded over to sit in front of the human. I whined and reached up a paw, placing it on the edge of the bed. "No fear, I protect," I said, but to the human it would just sound like another whine and bark.
