Kami jumped and covered her face with her hands quickly "y-you have no clothes on!" She said finally but didn't lift up her gaze. She heard the door downstairs and figured his cousin was home.
"What's that smell???" Hairu called, if Tadashi or Mika had attempted to cook he was going to leave again before they could poison him.
"Home cooked food!" Mika called to him sitting at her place since she had everything on the table. She sat at the head of the table being the eldest and owner if the house
"Oh.." Tadashi said looking down before blushing lightly himself and scratching the back of his neck. "I -I apologize" he told her and hurried to him room, closing the door and putting on his undergarments and pants before exiting his room just as quickly "Sorry about that again"
"I-it's okay." She murmured and headed downstairs and stopped when she spotted Hairu looking at her with a not to kind look before going to the dining room where she followed
Tadashi soon followed downstairs, a deliscious aroma hitting him. He followed it to the dining room where he found Mika and the others. He took his seat in the left side of Mika patting the cushion beside him for Kami to sit down on
With a smile Kami gladly sat down beside him, across the table was Hairu who was glaring at Tadashi but with a smirk. Kami looked at everyone then to Hairu "um...me and Mika made cheddar broccoli soup." She told him
Tadashi looked over at Mika with a raised eyebrow. Mika just nodded and Tadashi looked at the soup infront if him with a look of horror but glanced over at Kami and decided to brave the soup. He took a spoon and dipped it in the bowl and brought it up to his lips. It was probably one of the best things he had ever tasted!
Mika began eating the soup when she looked up to see the horror on Tadashi's face and chuckled "Just because I don't cook doesn't mean Kami or I can't cook."
While everyone else ate Hairu was a bit more reluctant before hunger got to him and he ate. Sure it was good but he wouldn't dare praise the girls for it. Instead he ate slowly and with a bored expression.
While Hairu hadn't really shown if he liked it or not and it did worry Kami it was Tadashi's expression she cared about the most and when his eyes seemed to light up she smiled happily and resumed eating n
"This is really good Kami! You're a great cook!" Tadashi exclaimed to her with a bright smile lighting up his face. He took another bite savoring the flavor, he never wanted to eat takeout again after this meal
Kami looked up and smiled happily "thanks but Mika helped too." She said though her cheeks were a light pink. She took the compliment to heart
Tadashi just shrugged and went back to eating
Mika stared at him before mumbling to herself "I put a roof over head, clothes on his back and food on his plate and he can't even thank me"
Kami couldn't help but giggle at the two before she finished eating. When she was done she leaned back and smiled at Mika "thank you for helping me cook." She said before standing up and taking her bowl and offering to take anyone else's who had finished. Hairu handed her his, half empty but not all eaten. He got up and walked out without a word.
" I think I'm going to replace you two with her. She's thankful and can cook!" Mika told Tadashi jokingly as Hairy walked out without a word. Once Kami disappeared Mika proposed her idea to Tadashi who agreeed, obviously pleased with the agreement "Find Hairu so we can have a meeting"
Tadashi followed in the direction Hairu went. He began looking around for the stupid cat
Hairu sat in his room on his bed rolling one of the beads between his fingers slowly before yawning and placing his head to the wall. His hair fell into his eyes as they closed.
Tadashi knocked on his door loudly "Mika says down here now for a 'family' meeting" He called through it
Hairu sighed and let out a hiss as he exhaled before getting up and heading downstairs into living room, passing the kitchen he saw Kami cleaning everything up. He dropped down on the couch and spread out so no one could sit by him.
Mika spotted Hairu out of the corner of her eye before she called Kami in there.
Tadashi sat kind of nervous but hopeful Kami would agree. He liked her, a lot as a friend or something more wasn't fully decided yet but he was leaning toward the later option
Kami stopped what she was doing to walking to the living room to see them all together "yeah?" She asked softly
"I have an idea and asked Tadashi about it. He told me that you have many medical issues and now living on your own. I decided to propose this deal to you. We help cover costs and allow you to stay here in case of a medical emergency but in return you cook and clean." Mika explained before letting it sink in before continuing "So what do you say?"
Kamis eyes widened in shock, she looked from Mika to Tadashi then back. How could she except such an offer? Her shocked expression turned to a more worried one "if I accept I want to pay rent too, I don't feel comfortable with you guys paying for my medical needs and me not paying back." She said and glanced back at Tadashi.
"We have a private family doctor so unless you have to taken somewhere else, no medical bills will be needed to pay. And I own this house without rent because the property has been in the Sohma family for thousands of years. And the funny thing is, half of us aren't even related were so far away from each other on the Family Tree" Mika told her with a smile even though the last part she didn't need to know
