  • Winterpaw was sitting alone, just being thoughtful. She didn't always need the company of her fellow DarkClanners. Sometimes they clogged up her system and just made her flustered. Especially when something difficult was going on. The black apprentice was thinking about DarkClan as a whole. She wondered if someone would decide to attack on DarkClan and win. What would it do to the inhabitants? It mostly judged on what Clan attacked them. Winterpaw's golden eyes flickered for a moment with emotion. They quickly went back to normal though. She didn't want to dump out all her feelings because someone saw the slight worry in her eyes.

  • [justify]Maskedpaw was not much one for introductions - handshaking, touching, it didn't suit him very well. The young male's eyes flicked to Winterpaw, however, as he noticed the unfamiliar black she-cat doing something that not many DarkClanners did anymore. She seemed to simply be sitting and thinking. It was a rare skill in his home, it seemed, as they had as a whole been more moral before his father's demise in Maskedpaw's opinion. He was now focused on ambition, though the lynx seemed to be incapable of reaching his dreams right now. Dissatisfied, one could say that he was.

Which was why a golden-eyed she-cat who did nothing but think attracted Maskedpaw. Somebody who had a brain and used it, as intelligence was probably the young male's most valued trait in any creature. Intelligence, logic, strategy .. using your brain, really. If it sat there unused, the gray matter would be worn and soiled by simple time.

"Hello." He meowed softly, padding up to Winterpaw.

  • Winterpaw heard Maskedpaw's greeting and she turned slightly towards him. "Hello. I'm Winterpaw. You are?" she said calmly. She wondered what had drawn the tom towards her. Of course, she wouldn't know unless he told her. A slight smile formed on her maw as she flicked her tail. She wondered if he was one of the few in DarkClan who actually was intelligent. Some of them were just driven by their thirst for blood and revenge. It saddened her but she didn't want to let her emotions out and become a burden.

"Maskedpaw, Lieutenant." He replied calmly, observing her expression. A smile. Normally his fellow DarkClanners did not smile when they saw Maskedpaw - though whether that was because they actually disliked him or because they were intimidated by his tendency to use his brain, the male couldn't be sure. Perhaps a mixture of both. "It's good to meet you, Winterpaw. Did you, erm, hear about Rebelfate's capture? I'm quite worried about her." Let him see her response to that, yes? The young lynx's ears twitched, awaiting a reply.

  • Winterpaw nodded solemnly. "Yes, I have heard of Rebelfate's capture. I find that some Clans come to the extent of stealing other members of enemy Clans because they are jealous of their abilities. As in they are jealous of Rebelfate's ability. But don't worry, Maskedpaw. We will get her back." she said, sympathetic. She knew that when others worried it meant that they needed comfort. And that's what she had attempted to do. The black apprentice looked at Maskedpaw hoping she got through to him.

  • [justify]"I hope we will. It's like other Clans to go to kidnapping out of jealousy or anger, yes, though we can't rule out some sort of delusion that she belongs to them. I have met quite a few strange creatures in my life." Maskedpaw meowed in response, nodding vigorously. He didn't truly need comfort, but it was quite reassuring that she'd started doing one of his favorite things, profiling. Behavior analysis, yes? "The kidnapped was quite sneaky."

(watch our darkclan members of the bau solve the case xD)

  • ((they should totally be walking around DarkClan and whenever someone is captured, they arrive at the scene and try to solve the case xD the BAU of DarkClan!))

Winterpaw nodded her head. "That is correct. They could think that she belongs with them. Perhaps because of something traumatic happening in their earlier lives? Like losing a daughter, and they think that taking others like their daughter will ease their pain," she said. The black apprentice did enjoy profiling. Figuring out what was the motive of their kidnapper they were dealing with. "Indeed, it was sneaky," she added.

  • [justify]"Perhaps they are trying to replace their daughter, or find some way to replicate their daughter. The loss of a daughter, sister, or mother could trigger that sort of delusion in a cat. The daughter or female family member would have been a medic, or a maned fox, or maybe even just had the name of 'Rebel'." Maskedpaw agreed, his mind now working voraciously. It was impossible to know which female medic or maned wolves or Rebels in all the Clans had died.

(omg yES the DarkClan BAU solving all the cases together w/ profiling skills)

  • They had done a great job of profiling so far. But profiling was never done until the case was cleared. And for the two DarkClanners, it meant when Rebelfate was finally returned. And if she didn't, there would have to be a more in depth look into the case. "That makes sense. They could be attempting to fill the void in their heart. Hopefully though, that they don't go to the sick extent of doing terrible things to her," she said. The black apprentice was hoping Maskedpaw's theory of the lost female family member would be why. Not because of some sick fantasies they were trying to full-fill like torture.

  • [justify]"If they are in fact trying to fill a hole in their heart, I see no reason why they'd harm Rebelfate, unless that was what they did to their family regularly. If we assume that they're an enemy and male, that leaves us with .. every tom in all the ProClans. That's not good." Maskedpaw continued, sighing.

  • "So we shouldn't have to worry about Rebelfate. She's probably just going to be forced to act like a mother, sister or daughter. Whichever they want her to be," she said to him. He was right, it was very unlikely that even enemy Clans wouldn't torture their family members at all. The black apprentice thought that Maskedpaw was very smart and she assumed he had a very high IQ.

  • [justify]"Besides danger of becoming emotional and rebelling against her captors, I would say that Rebelfate is in little danger. I don't think they would purposefully harm her." Maskedpaw replied, nodding to Emily. She seemed smart - logical, the good kind of smart, not battle-oriented like most creatures he knew.

  • "Of course. Even if she does some sort of rebellion against her kidnappers, they would be expecting it so they wouldn't respond too terribly," she said. The black apprentice believed, she found her new hobby, profiling and analyzing behaviour. It was fun, that was for sure. But at the moment it was of a serious matter, as in they were trying to figure out who the kidnapper was. Maned wolf-napper.

  • [justify]"ProClans don't deal with rebellion very well - when they can, they show their claws, even as general pacifists. So it could be a neutral place as well, though pro is more likely. I know Pro wouldn't torture their prisoners - they tend to simply keep them in a cave - so if they were trying to fulfill a familial role with Rebel, I would say definitely pro, not planning to torture her." Maskedpaw replied, restating all the facts in order to get his thoughts out.
