  • Winterpaw was sitting, waiting for her mentor to start some training exercises. The black apprentice's gold eyes were watchful as she waited for Admin to come and see her. She just sat there as she waited, nothing much else to do.

  • [fancypost borderwidth=0px; font-size: 8pt; text-align: justify; font-family: georgia]The Heir wandered up in her snow leopard body, lowering her gaze down onto Winterpaw with a quirked eyebrow. "Salutations, Winterpaw." Admin greeted her, expression entirely detached. "Ready for your first training session?" She asked.

  • "Hello. I am ready for my first training session and I hope it will work out," she said in a calm and mature way. Winterpaw was known for being calm under pressure and being very intelligent and driven. Of course, since she was with her mentor, she put her sarcastic humor away for a bit. "What will we be working on?" she asked.

  • [fancypost borderwidth=0px; font-size: 8pt; text-align: justify; font-family: georgia]She flickered her right ear as she nodded her head towards her apprentice. Hopefully it'll work out just fine and that none of them would have to be carried off to the medic den. "We're going to work our way up - starting with physical training up towards mental training with telepathy, mind barriers, and such." She explained with a swish of her tail and the large wildcat rolled her powerful, broad shoulders back. "Show me what skills you possess so I can know what level I can start you on." Admin said as she took a defensive position, her head lowered and tail curled above her back in a reverse 'C' fashion.

  • She nodded. "Okay," she said and with that she started her move. Winterpaw had no powers so she just had to do a classic move. She stared at Admin's paws and darted forward but at the last moment, leaped up and aimed to land on her mentor's back. The black apprentice's form was smooth but could use some work on her leaping skills for sure.

  • [fancypost borderwidth=0px; font-size: 8pt; text-align: justify; font-family: georgia]Admin allowed the attacks to take place and when she felt paws on her back, she snapped her head to the side and aimed to catch Winterpaw's tail in her jaws and yank her off of her and release her jaws. Gravity would do the rest of the work for her. Admin got back into a defensive position. A classic move though Admin could have seen that one coming, sensing the tension in Winter's hind legs informed her that she was going to leap - and leap high. "Classic, but good."

  • Winterpaw grunted as she fell to the ground but got back up. Well, it was her first try, right? So she didn't know all the crazily complex moves that she would know in the future. The black apprentice dipped her head at Admin, accepting the praise. "Anything harder and I would've messed it up if I did it without practice," she explained.

  • [fancypost borderwidth=0px; font-size: 8pt; text-align: justify; font-family: georgia]"You'll get practice here, though." Admin, herself ( complimented by a few of her own ) was an excellent fighter and mentor. Most of the tricks she developed herself with the help of her late father. "Once more, then." The snow leopard instructed with a flicker of her right ear which was out of habit.

  • "Of course," Winterpaw said and then got back into the attacking position. The black apprentice crouched down low but instead circled her mentor one before she finally made the grand leap to Admin's back. If she landed, she would land this time a tad bit more lopsided. She wouldn't fall though, as she caught her balance before a little tumble.

  • [fancypost borderwidth=0px; font-size: 8pt; text-align: justify; font-family: georgia]Using super senses, she found the Winterpaw was behind her and aiming to leap onto her back. Instinctively, she moved out of Winter's aim by sidestepping. As she done this, she whirled around in an attempt to knock her apprentice backwards with a large paw. "You shouldn't aim for the same area twice; your future opponents would catch you easily the next time if you perform the same move over the same area."

  • Winterpaw fell backwards as she got hit by a large paw, which belonged to her mentor. As she got up she said, "That is the reason why you need to teach me more moves, correct?" Winterpaw licked her shoulder and then looked back at Admin.

  • [fancypost borderwidth=0px; font-size: 8pt; text-align: justify; font-family: georgia]"Indeed," Admin said as she straightened her posture. "Enough, we'll begin out lesson now." She said as she demonstrated a move that seemed very well easy. Using the effects of telepathy, she created an image of a cat in battle stance. Admin lunged forward, a claw poking out of one of her sheathes as she planted the attack of pressure point on the shoulder. The muscles of the cat which was in this case a brown tabby, contracted and he fell off to the side. "Pressure point - this move's quite easy to perform unless you don't know about the nervous system." She said as she turned towards Winterpaw. "In your and everybody else's body, there are fibers or a bundle of fibers that transmits impulses of sensation to the brain or spinal cord, and impulses from these to the muscles and organs. Hence, pressure point."

  • The black apprentice nodded. "I understand now. Is there any other pressure points that could be used in battle, or are they too difficult to get to in the heat of the battle?" she asked, before she tested out the move that Admin had presented to her.

  • [fancypost borderwidth=0px; font-size: 8pt; text-align: justify; font-family: georgia]"Yes, if you managed to get onto someone's back you can pinch a certain vertebrae and this would cease your movement for quite a while. It's like being paralyzed but for only a certain amount of time. The shoulders, legs, and paws are also able to be reached. Also, the hind legs and your neck but the neck is probably the hardest to achieve." Admin explained as she watched Winterpaw test out the move with a calculative gaze.

  • Winterpaw channeled in onto the Tom, forgetting about Admin entirely. She shot forward, one slender claw protruding from her paw and she hit the spot that Admin had hit, just a few moments ago. The brown tabby dropped, but Winterpaw went down with him. She grunted and got back up. "How was that?" she asked.

  • [fancypost borderwidth=0px; font-size: 8pt; text-align: justify; font-family: georgia]"You put so much force that you went down with the tom. Pressure point attacks are meant to be swift and light. The side effects of a pressure point may last to one to two days." Admin observed with a flicker of her ear. Swiftness and accuracy were very important. Admin relied on her strength, accuracy, swiftness, and how her attacks would be carried out. It seemed Winterpaw was primarily relying on her strength and that can be of disaster. "Be sure not to solely rely on strength, Winterpaw. Use multiple skill sets such as swiftness and stealth." She instructed further.

  • "I'll try to be more swift the next time I do that move," Winterpaw said once her roleplayer found the thread that she lost. "Do I do it again?" she said motioning to the fallen tabby tomcat.

  • [fancypost borderwidth=0px; font-size: 8pt; text-align: justify; font-family: georgia]Admin nodded her head to Winterpaw. The telepathic image staggered to its paws, getting back into a defensive posture.

  • This time the move was carried out much smoother than the last. She lept towards the telegraphic tomcat, a claw jutting out of her paw. She hit the same spot that she hit before but this time was able to leap back before tumbling with the Tom. She turned to Admin to hear what her mentor said.

  • [fancypost borderwidth=0px; font-size: 8pt; text-align: justify; font-family: georgia]Admin nodded approvingly, her tail flickering back and forth. "Good," She rumbled, satisfied that her apprentice got the gist of pressure point.
