Due to a spontaneous occurrence of murders at relatively simultaneous times in wide arrays of distance, it has been brought to our attention that we are not dealing with one serial killer, but many. The police department is working feverishly to get down to the bottom of this heinous turmoil of events and bring the group of psychopaths to justice. Until then, we require that when night prevails, all citizens must return home and lock all passages of entry into their homes. If, for any reason, one feels overwhelmed or suspicious about anything, do not hesitate to call the police. Again, this is not a test, this is not a joke. We, as a city, are overwhelmed. We are outgunned."

" Exactly what is going on? I'll tell you."
The city of Los Angeles, California has found itself under the relentless assault of a cult of serial killers; their motive for killing so many in cold blood? Unknown. They know not who and if anyone leads the group, how many there are, their reason for forming a group, nor what they look like -- they haven't so much as a single police sketch. Many suspect that the group is an organised cult who believe that they are doing right by killing those they find unworthy. After all, many of their targets have consisted of people suspected of a crime, other criminals, and prostitutes. Unbeknownst to them, it is nothing like that. Every killer that is part of the group kills who they want for their own reason -- there is no organised crime majority of the time. The purpose of the group is to offer a sort of family. When someone is in trouble with the cops, needs help 'cleaning up,' et cetera, they call the family. Their is a leader, however, but he has little to no role. His sole purpose is to make important decisions whenever things go seriously wrong, which has, and in the future will, result in the execution of a member who has done wrong.
On the other side of the spectrum, there are the journalists, detectives, cops, and idiot teenagers. Of course, the journalist often go out in search of stories, and some have mysteriously disappeared; the group doesn't like publicity. Detectives and cops are at every crime scene, of course, and the group often refrains from killing them. There have been incidents, though… and then the teenagers. The teenagers are your average "I dare you to" cases where someone or multiple people go wondering in the woods, where there have been claims to have seen mysterious persons wandering around. These teenagers are nothing more than thrill-seekers looking to get famous on Youtube by posting video footage of their scary adventures… that is, if they don't disappear in the process.

" What role do you play? "
Your role is to be the life of this role-play. Whether you're a victim, a cop, a detective, another random criminal, or part of 'The Family,' you play an important role. The only role you most definitely can not play is the leader of 'The Family.' That role is for myself. If I decide to have any co-admins of this role-play, there will be co-leader roles as well.
All other roles are unlimited, but if there is too much of one group, I'll have to prohibit the amount of people who can apply to that said role until things even out once again. Same goes for genders -- I don't want a bunch of females (because that is often the case) in this role-play. Try to keep the gender count even. I do not require that you make at least one of each character, but if you notice too much of an imbalance… go ahead. Please. Also, you may have two characters at a time, and if you want more, contact me about it; if I think you can handle it, I'll allow you to make more.
Your other role? To follow rules. Follow the ToC of this site, respect one another, don't kill anyone's characters (not without permission anyway), and no smut business.
