He wasm't. He'd fallen asleep, his face pressed against the window, his breath fogging the glass.

Fey watched Daniel sleep with a smile, starting to sketch the passengers in front of her seat as she looked around. A stewardess came by and Fey got some more tea, her voice soft so she didn't wake Daniel.
-
Daniel woke up three hours later, only an hour from landing, tired and with a headache, "Are we there yet?" he yawned.
-
"Morning. We have an hour till we land." Fey answered, chuckling, "How does your face feel? You had it pressed up against the window." She lightly picked up a piece of paper and inspected it, humming softly. -
"Sore," he said, "What have you been doing this whole time?"
-
"I've been sleeping, and drawing." Fey answered, smiling. The auburn haired woman smiled a little more, "What city are we landing in? I don't know Germany very well..." -
"We're landing in Hamburg," he said, "It's where I'm from, you know."
-
"Really?" Fey asked, tilting her head, "it must be nice to get to come home." The girl smiled faintly and moved to look directly at Daniel, her mismatched eyes curious.
-
Daniel hesitated. Yes, he obviously loved his home, but there were so many things that happened that made him leave.
-
Fey frowned slightly, "Daniel, what happened?" Hr British accent was soft and gentle as she touched Daniel's arm, "you don't have to tell me, but it's bothering you, I can tell..." -
"Just... er...political issues," he lied.
-
Fey frowned a little but didn't pester Daniel further. "There should be turbulence soon... You're still buckled up, right?" -
"Yeah," he said, checking his seatbelt, "Are you?"
-
Fey nodded, "yeah." She careful gathered her things and oh them away, humming. -
Daniel leaned back in his seat and looked out the window. They were passing through large, fluffy white cloud.s
-
"It's beautiful, isn't it?" Fey murmured, gazing past him, "I missed Europe. It'll be nice to be back for even a short while." -
Daniel nodded, "It'll nice to see something other than a fast food restaurant on every corner."
-
The English woman laughed softly, "honestly, that was the weirdest thing about America. I didn't understand all of the McDonalds and stuff." Fey smiled slightly at Daniel, "I wasn't used to restaurants like that." -
"Neither was I," he said, "And so many people are so...loud!"
-
Fey nodded, "it was like... Being asleep and waking up in a crowded room..." She said in agreement, "I guess we can say Europe is better in those aspects." A gentle, sad smile crossed over Fey's face and she sat back, breathing out.
