  • // I felt like I was reading the ending of a really good chapter of a really good book omg, excuse me while I fix my jaw back onto my head. Also, I'm going to be on vacation for five days so I might not be able to reply until I get back :-\

// She nodded and held out the bag for Thomas to put the supplies in. Looking at him as he did it, Jade realised he looked kind of.. shy? Nervous? She couldn't place it, but it seemed uncharacteristic nonetheless. He turned around and stalked away quickly and the black-haired girl just shook her head and looked down in the bag to see what was left to gather. Rummaging around in the white plastic baggie, Jade decided that the only things left would be the feminine products and the bandages and the elder medicine. The green-eyed girl didn't specifically know what kind of medicine Ms. Stray and Mr. Stray and a few others needed so when she heard Thomas digging around on the shelves, she pronounced he was searching for those vital medicines. Which left her to the female necessities and bandages.

Walking over to the "Feminine Hygiene" isle, her green eyes swept the shelves and she picked out the things that were needed and put them in the white bag. One shelf over was the bandages and disinfectants which she went to and collected Band-Aids, wraps, and peroxide. As she put the large brown bottle in the bag, she heard the distant, soft tune of the door opening. Her head whipped to the side, and her green eyes bore holes into the door. She seen Thomas practically stumbling down the street and she squished the bag as small as it would go and shoved it in her large hoodie pocket. Before she even knew it, Jade was bolting to the door. When she opened it, she heard a distant, viscous sound that took the wind out of her lungs. Though, she didn't even realise she wasn't scared for herself, but scared for Thomas.

Sprinting as fast as she ever did in her life, Thomas was still quite a ways away from her. He was clearly going to the doctors that was at the end of the dimly lit street and Jade ran, determined to make sure Thomas wasn't in danger. Smelling the air, sort of animal like, Jade instantly smelled the rank stench of the Leviathan. It was getting closer and angrier. Adrenaline pumped through her and she ran faster until she was a foot behind the boy. Jumping at him, arms outstretched, she tackled him right to the ground and fury consumed her. How could he risk his life like that?! Why would he stumble out of the pharmacy without telling her? He wasn't even being careful, just stumbling down the street, throwing caution to the wind!

Basically laying on top of him, Jade pinned him to the ground, but she shifted so his back was to the ground and he was facing her. Green eyes intensely staring him down, she started speaking in a furious whisper, "Are you crazy?! What do you even think you're doing? You're my partner and I am so not letting you risk your life so senselessly! The Leviathan is out here." Jade just stayed there, not even thinking that they were right out in the open, in the middle of the street. She was awaiting the answer from Thomas and she was so mad she also wasn't thinking straight.

//wow, I guess that was five days of muse bottled up ;) And thank you so much! Same goes for you, you're amazing! :D

  • //shucks !! Thanks, you are unbelievably talented as well. There are not many on this site I actually enjoy role-playing with, and you're one of them Forever :)

  • Thomas had no thoughts. He was being senseless, sloppy, and clumsy. For a boy who strived for perfection and decency, that was a large slope downhill. But in the mindless state he was in, Thomas couldn't care less. He looked like a zombie stumbling around in complete dim of wit, going no where, and having no purpose.
But far in his mind Thomas had a purpose. He needed to get the elder's necessities, he needed to get Maria's necessities. To imagine that sweet, plump old lady without her medication frightened Thomas senseless, literally. His feet scuffed the paved road, his eyes were drawn to them, watching the rhythmic way they seemed to move. His dark brown hair fell loosely over his forehead, which had beads of sweat forming in the middle. His eyebrows were held atop his eyes, in a comfortably nonchalant 'sitting' position. But it was his silver eyes that stood out. They were bright, and deafening tortured. He was scared. For the first time Thomas actually felt the normal emotion of fear.
He had been nervous before, and even a little jumpy, but fear had never crept into him until this moment. But it wasn't Maria's face that scared him, and when he realized that he froze.

    The Leviathan.

It was near, it was lurking closer to him every second, inching towards him hungrily. Thomas could have beaten himself for being so careless, but he had no time. A strong force slammed against him, throwing him to the hard road below him. Pain shot up his through his stomach, and his legs felt like they were on fire. Thomas' breath was chocked back as he tried to grasp it, and for a moment's second he lay very still, wondering if this was it.
It was strange, though. He had always imagined being attacked by the beast would bring a lot more burning sensations, and more than a little blood. "Jade ..." he murmured robotically, turning over as she allowed him. He faced her now, only a loving look in his eyes as he looked into hers.
But that was only for a moment, as everything seemed to be nowadays. Thomas pulled himself together, and pushed her off of him angrily. "Are you crazy!" he screamed, slapping his mouth. He peered over Jade's head, trying to spot the beast. It growled, its voice now the loudest it's been. Nothing. Feeling his knee, Thomas felt it wet, and peeling back his crummy, dirty jeans, he saw red. "Great."

The Leviathan stomped closer, his eyes narrowing as the two came in sight.

    //muse! I'd say ;)

  • When he looked up at her, Jade noticed something in his green eyes that she never seen before. Her mind sort of turned off really quick, as though it refused to recognise it. She played it off as nothing, but she knew it was there. Almost instantly, Thomas snapped out of it and pushed her away. Sitting there, lungs burning, Jade was livid that the boy was blaming it on her. She seen his bloody knee but didn't really feel sorry. Of course she didn't mean to but she wasn't going to give him ammo. "Are you kidding? You think it's my fault that you turned into a zombie or something? You just stumbled out of there like you were invisible! Get a grip!" Just as Jade finished yell-whispering at him, she felt tears prickle at her eyes. Unfortunately, when she gets really mad, tears end up being inevitable. Though it was different.. She wasn't mad. She was scared. Jade thought Thomas was going to get himself killed and before her brain could hide it, she realised what that meant. A single tear ran down her cheek and she wiped it away angrily.

Not wanting to cry in front of Thomas, more importantly not wanting to tell him why she was crying, Jade jumped to her feet. When she stood up, she sensed the Leviathan like a presence in the air. It was like feeling thick tension in a room, mixed with fear and violence. It was close to them. Whipping back around, Jade said to Thomas, "Up! Get up now! We can bandage that later, it is here." And at that moment, the tanned girl realised there wouldn't be any running away. It would catch them. They had to fight.

Once Jade realised this, she took a defensive stance and her mind took on this animal like instinct to protect Thomas. It was like her brain boiled down to the most simple, primal thoughts. He was hers. He was injured. And she would kill anything that would try to hurt him.

  • Thomas was slightly relieved that Jade showed no compassion for him, it made it easier to be mad at her, and bring about his old feelings. It was for the best they remained spiteful towards each other, because any friendlier and unwanted feelings would arise in his heart and take over his thoughts. He curled his top lip at her, narrowing his eyes to study more deeply into hers.
But what he found scared him, and Thomas quickly backed out. "I have a grip, you're the one that tackled me to the ground, and if I have no rights to complain about that-" he was cut off by another growl. He had nearly forgotten about the beast in his sudden rage towards his partner. Jade was obviously distracted from their short argument, and he looked in the direction she was facing. The Leviathan was lurking in the shadows, its large, beady eyes silver in the moonlight.

Jade murmured something, but Thomas was too busy staring the beast down to be able to hear it. He rose to his feet, wincing as pain shot up his leg, starting at his knee cap. The blood that had created a pool on his knee now dripped down his leg, and since Thomas still had his pant leg rolled up the beast instantly drew its eyes to that. It crotched, then rose again, inching forward slowly. Its exact size was still hard to pinpoint, but the dark-haired boy was hardly focusing on size. It was the matter that none of his people had ever run into the Leviathan and he hadn't a clue what to expect that kept crossing his mind. "Jade ... hand on your knife ... now," he mumbled, his own hand sliding down to his pocket. He checked to see if his knife was still there, and he was expecting it to be ... but it wasn't.
The sweat on his forward started to roll down, dripping into his eyes. Don't panic ... He closed his eyes, biting down on his bottom lip. He couldn't inform Jade without letting his nerves be released from his body; with his muscles tensing. Getting emotionally frustrated and nervous wouldn't help the situation. He was going to get him and his partner out of this, with or without a tiny, nearly useless pocket knife.

//you obviously have more muse than me ..

  • //haha probably not that much more..

Jade heard Thomas stand up, but for her, everything seemed to be in slow motion. The black-haired girl crouched down with fire in her eyes and she barely heard Thomas ask for the knife. Her mind quickly escaped for a moment back to her normal state of mind when she remembered that Thomas was capable of protecting himself as well as she was, if not more. Her mossy eyes flicked back to him and seen the nervousness on his face. Looking back to the Leviathan, she assessed the beast. A dog-wolf like hybrid with rows of razor sharp teeth. It's limbs bulged with muscle and it claws were long and lethal. The comparison between the tall, 16 year old girl with long nails and a bit of muscle and the beast before her made one thing clear; she was definitely no match. After the assessment of the creature, Jade's mind switched back to an animal like state and she flipped the switchblade out of her pocket, wielding it.

Knowing Thomas wanted her to give him the knife, that's what made her decide not to. If she were to give him the knife, that would suggest he was willing to fight - risk his life. She was so not letting that happen. If anything, she could hold off the Leviathan long enough for Thomas to take the medicine and make it out of the city limits and back to safety. If Thomas and herself were both wielded with weapons, she would reconsider and hope to bring the beast down, two against one. Then again, Jade didn't know who would be better with the knife, or more importantly, who would do better without it. If Thomas could fight exceptionally without a weapon, then she would also consider taking the beast down instead of sacrificing herself.

    Mentally cursing herself for not taking the time to ask Thomas his strengths and weaknesses, or at the very least assessing what he could be capable of, Jade looked away from the beast's viscous silver glare to Thomas. Hoping they could work something out within the five seconds they were allotted, the sixteen year old pleaded with her green eyes to him. If the mossy optics could speak to him, they'd say;
I don't know what you can do but.. we can take it down. If not, bring the medicine back to the Colony, and if I don't make it.. I think I love you..
But she would probably never know if he'd understand because something would have to happen that second as the Leviathan stalked forward, completely ready to take out the two young Rebels on their first mission.

//I completely misunderstood the 'hand on the knife' thing thinking he was asking her to hand him the knife.. whoops.. way too lazy to change it xD sorry!~

  • I've lost muse for some things ... must ... get ... it .... back

Thomas breathed in and out, slowly ... trying to remain calm in a stressful situation. Jade still had her knife, and had it wielded and ready to go, whereas he idiotically lost his only weapon. What kind of rebel lost his weapon!
I don't need it, he growled to himself, inching closer to the beast, and becoming parallel to his partner. I can take it down with my bare hands easi- not so easily ... Jade looked at him her eyes trying to tell him something, but all he could make out was mixed thoughts. He thought he recognized determination and courage . But there was something else that was in Jade's eyes that did not seem like her. She had a spark, and Thomas could have sworn it was meant for him. He gave her a weak smile, and grabbed her hand in his, squeezing it. They were going to fight together, even if it seemed Jade would rather him back down, and get the supplies to the Colony.

Shutting his eyes for a moment, Thomas mouthed a countdown till he would launch himself at the waiting Leviathan. The beast lurked rather patiently for being the blood-thirsty thing it was known for, obviously waiting for any sharp motions, so as long as he and Jade stood still, Thomas figured they had all the time in the world.
One ... he mouthed, biting his tongue nervously. It was an uncommon feeling for the boy, but Jade had completely changed who he use to be it seemed.
Two ... He stretched his jaw wide, trying to catch his faint breath.
Three ... Thomas released his partner's hand, giving her a gentle pat on the back, before launching off the soles of his feet, almost flying towards the beast. A fierce look suddenly erupted in his eyes, the thought of defending Jade taking over, becoming his determination.
His hands gripped the Leviathan's neck, his grip tightening as he tried to hold on. The beast frothed, and flailed around, snapping his giant jaws at Thomas' ankles. It seemed all too easy to dodge things at first, but then he wondered where Jade was, and once worriment for her flooded his mind the beast was able to overthrow him like a rag-doll. With one swift jerk he was soaring through the air backwards, and landing with a loud thump!

Thomas was dazed, his breath short and painful. "Mmmfhh ... ahummmm," he moaned, grabbing a hold of his arm, which he had landed on. He tried to move it, but his already untanned face turned gravely pale, and he nearly cried out. "Jade ... urmmmm," he murmured, his clear vision becoming blurry.
No ... no, I can't let her handle the beast herself ... Stubbornness prevailed in Thomas, as it always did.He rose up into a sitting position, gnashing his teeth as he realized the pain his ribs were causing him. Exactly how much damage that fall created the boy did not know, but Thomas wasn't going to let that stop him. His shaky arms pushed him upwards, and he rose in a meek sort of way. "Jade!" his vision prohibited him from seeing her, but Thomas charged towards the retched smell of the beast. He leapt, grabbing a hold of his neck once again, this time going for the front of its neck, and squeezing firmly. With the only weapon he had being his bare hands, chocking the beast seemed his best option.

  • // This is going to be terribly gruesome seeing whereas Jade's the one with the knife ;) And that was a fabulous post! I don't know what lost muse you were talking about but apparently you found it!

// Thomas came up beside her and the Leviathan started to growl deep down, adding to it's main growl like a sick harmony. You'd be foolish not to be terribly scared at the sound of it. When Thomas looked at her, she could tell he was searching her eyes and then he gave a smile - a small one, but a smile nonetheless. He squeezed her hand and the breath almost hitched in her throat. Jade tried not to assume that he must feel the same way about her, given the situation. But the hope was there and it put a fire in her eyes, a renewed determination.

It was hard for Jade to take her eyes off Thomas, but he started counting down silently and she knew he was going to fight. That wasn't just a reassuring squeeze, it was a, "we're doing this together". All thoughts of fighting the beast on her own as a sacrifice flew out of her mind, because standing beside him at that moment, she wholeheartedly believed that her and Thomas could take it down. She looked to the beast and stared it down. It was going to launch itself at the rebels any second if they didn't make a move. All of a sudden, Thomas let go of her hand and pat her on the back before he was flying at the Leviathan. It all caught up to her at that second. They were seriously fighting the well renowned, rebel killing monster that roams the city streets in search of them. And it found it's first pair. Lucky them, eh? Jade's forest green eyes widened and she stared in shock as it looked like Thomas was handling it pretty good, and she completely forgot to go help him - the fear that his death could possibly be right before her eyes if something went wrong overwhelming her.

All too soon, Jade watched as the beast threw Thomas into the air like he was a meager hindrance. Gasping as Thomas smashed against the ground, it set Jade back into reality and she suddenly found herself running at the Leviathan with a vengeance. Hearing him groan in the background as he was in obvious pain, Jade launched herself at the beast, hugging it's neck tightly. It's head was trying to latch onto something but Jade was entirely underneath it as she squeezed it's throat as hard as possible - though it didn't seem to make a difference to the beast. Realizing she need her knife to cause any real damage, Jade panicked as she realised she wasn't holding it. She couldn't feel it in her pockets but she wasn't sure.

Turning her head, she glanced back to where she ran from and about three feet behind her, there her knife was, laying on the ground and glinting in the dim light. Cursing out loud, knowing she dropped it in her blind rage, she knew she had to get it, but if she were to stick her foot out there to reach it, the Leviathan would promptly chomp off her limb for a delicious snack, she was sure. Randomly, she heard Thomas yell her name, and obviously the beast did too. The struggling ceased between Jade and the Leviathan as Thomas ran at them. Knowing this was her chance as the beast was distracted, Jade dove onto the ground away from it, collecting her knife in the process as Thomas replaced her choke hold on the monster's neck.

Since the beast was struggling with Thomas, it didn't even notice Jade circling around it. Wielding the knife and preparing herself to attack, she jumped at the beast from the side. Stabbing the knife into the chest of the great beast, she knew it wasn't long enough to reach the heart. So pulling the blade out, she tried again on it's side, aiming to hit another vital organ. Having to do it quick so it wouldn't retaliate on Thomas, Jade quickly jabbed it several times in the side. It howled so loud her heart skipped a beat. The terrifying, monstrous noise reminded her of a wolf pack Alpha male, howling at it's packmates to kill. The fear almost overtook her but she had to stay strong because that was when the beast started flailing around aimlessly, showing it's pain. Stabbing it once more as hard as she could, she knew she did the job when the beast actually whimpered and was preparing itself to flee. They did it.
    They actually did it.

//Hah, wow, that was real intense.. And sorry, but I just couldn't stop writing xD I basically wrote a novel all my own hahaha

  • Thomas couldn't recollect anything, all he knew was that the beast was struggling to break his tight grip around its neck, and that made him squeeze even more. The boy was completely ignoring his whole nervous-system, which was telling him that his arm was in excruciating pain and that he must stop whatever it is he was doing. His left arm was broken for sure, and his body temperature was rising as he worsened it by fighting the beast, but Thomas wouldn't let go. Somewhere around here was his partner, and she was struggling against the Leviathan same as him. She had the knife, so therefore had the advantage over the beast and even him, but the dark-haired boy deemed himself important, and dug his right bicep deep into the beast's neck crevice even more, as far as possible -- and farther than what his arm was saying was possible. His right hand had grabbed his left arm, creating a pretty decent chock hold that Thomas had been holding for longer than a minute now. As giant as the beast was, Thomas was still able to wrap an entire arm the whole of its neck.

Before he could even realize it the beast had decided to give in, and was preparing itself to flee before the angry girl, with hate smeared across her delicate features could stab at him again. Thomas could feel its muscles loosening up, and than create a ripple effect when it was about ready to charge off. At that sign, the boy released his tight grip on the beast's beck, which was harder than one would think, and allowed himself to crash to the pavement. Not a smart move, but holding on would've been dumber. He bit down on his bottom lip as his damaged knee, which had started to scab over, opened up to reveal bright red blood again, this time dripping from his leg faster and thicker. Thomas ignored this after the first few second though, and pushed away all the forever lingering warnings about his broken left arm, and pulled himself up so he could check on Jade.
He had fallen stupidly in love with her, becoming one of the many love-struck 'idiots' in the Colony, and Thomas didn't even realize it. "Are you okay?" he gasped, his eyes dodging hers as he knew Jade would spot his pain. He bent down, the pain his knee was causing him increasing in the uncomfortable position. Still Thomas was stubborn, and forbid those feelings to take over his mind. He grabbed his partner's arm, and when he was satisfied there was no serious damage he grabbed her other, avoiding using his left arm as much as possible. It just dangled at his side, limp and useless. "We did good," he murmured slowly, noticed how short his breath was. "You did good." That was one of the first compliments Thomas had ever bestowed upon someone, but just like many other things, he never realized.

  • Jade watched the beast scamper off into the deepest shadows, seeming to melt away into nothingness. Turning around, the black-haired girl heard a thump as Thomas hit the ground. Standing right next to him, she didn't even hear him ask if she was alright, and she almost started hyperventilating until she realized that he was checking her for damage. Swatting away his hands, Jade started examining him and instantly knew he had a broken arm or a dislocated shoulder or something, and his knee wound had opened up again being a lot worst this time around. Hands fluttering as she was totally freaking out - very uncharacteristically, that is - Jade was no longer worried about stealth as she yelled, "Sit down! Ohmygod just sit down!" Frantically trying to pull the white bag out of her pocket, she was shaking so bad she could barely grab it. Once she accomplished that small task, she started digging around in the bag pulling out the bandage wrap and peroxide.

In the back of her mind, like way way way back there, she was calm and mentally assessing the situation. His knee was pretty irritated from being freshly scabbed over and then reopened, so the blood made it look a lot worst than it was, though it was probably bad. His arm was clearly broken and useless, and however he kept up the fight with it was completely beyond Jade. She felt bad enough for Thomas but she felt even worst since all that damage occurred to him, but there was barely a scratch on her - just a thin line running down her shin that the Leviathan cause with his claw, but it was barely bleeding. Last of all, the teen noted that Thomas was being exceptionally nice even though just before the fight, they'd been arguing like usual. And in his eyes.. it was different.

Coming back to reality, that's where Jade found herself, searching his eyes. Although he was definitely trying to avoid eye contact, it was unmistakably there. And she assumed it would look like the same thing he'd see in her eyes. Shaking her head, she mumbled, "Not the time..", and went back to the bandages and peroxide, fumbling with the packages as she tried to open them.

  • I've been remembering but it's not on my new posts anymore. Thanks

Thomas watched Jade fumbling around in the bag, not being able to take his eyes off of hers. So cliche, right? Here's a guy calm and collected, watching a pretty girl worrying over him, his lips curling into a devilish grin. Sometimes cliches can be more than that, they can be real, but in each circumstance they are always surreal.
Thomas reached over to her, stopping her at the wrist. She was a little shaky. Her nerves were getting to her, and that, that confirmed it for Thomas. She had the same feelings in her that he had. It was rather relieving to know that, no matter the outcome, he wasn't the only one with these weak, emotion-filled feelings. Jade wasn't near hyperventilation because he was her injured partner, she was freaking out because he was her secret love interest. He wasn't going to let himself feel guilty he hadn't let her see his true feelings in the beginning, because would just make him be filled with regret. Regret held a person back from living their current lives. What was done was done. Thomas was being given a chance now to allow Jade to know what he felt when he looked into her mossy green eyes. "Jade," he murmured, cupping her pale white hand into his larger, rougher ones. He wanted to brush the hair out of her eyes, but not wanting to remove his hands grasp on hers Thomas merely blew at the few strands instead. He wasn't a romantic at heart, so it was what one should expect with him.
Sighing, Thomas caught his breath as he tried to bring the moment they were sharing back. As he was able to get her gaze again, the boy inched towards her, finding the force that moved him towards her irresistible -- of course if one knew Thomas one could know he could resist what he wanted. He was close to his partner's face when he ducked down, his eyes casting to his knee. Thomas let go of Jade's hand, clasping his hurt left arm again. "I'm sorry," the words were loose, without -- surprising -- any force whatsoever.

Thomas peered into the grocer bag, shifting through the stuff to find the bandages. Upon finding them, the dark-haired boy had nearly forgotten he had been close to kissing his partner not a minute earlier. He wrapped his knee unconsciously, his eyes looking distant and dark now. He had let his barrier be broken, he had allowed his heart to be stolen.

  • //Thanks! And this is probably the best roleplay I've ever been in so thanks for that too xD Also, my cousin is coming over so I'll reply later tonight!

//Jade stood there, completely freaking out. As she was fumbling with just about every small task, Thomas grabbed her wrist and got real close. Without realizing it, she stopped breathing and her eyes fluttered when he blew the hair out of her face. This moment that was unfolding in front of her was so uncalled for, she almost thought she was having a random day dream. But as he blew the strands of hair out of her eyes, his breath tickled her nose and she felt the heat of it on her cheeks. The black haired girl had to suppress a smile for fear it might make the whole thing shatter into a million pieces and she'd be thrown into a less perfect reality.

Suddenly he got closer to her face and she was positive he was going to kiss her. He said her name as he stared into her eyes and she got lost in the soulful depths of his. All too soon the grip he had on her wrists slackened and he started to patch up his knee, leaving Jade to wonder if she really had just dreamt it all up Thomas stared off seemingly off in his own world and Jade knew they would have to return to the colony soon. Out of all the times she made up outcomes for this night since she's been growing up, all of them ending differently in good and bad ways, she never thought this would happen. Her young mind thought of her being the star, the hero, doing better than anyone and excelling so well in the mission, she was instantly promoted to a more respected rebel. As she grew older, and they years drew closer to the time she would be sixteen, she imagined she would brutally fail and be kicked out or be disowned by the colony.

Out of all the scenarios she thought up, Jade never pictured a night where she wasn't looking forward to going home because she fell hopelessly in love with her partner after hating him just hours ago, not even mentioning the fact that they encountered and defeated the Leviathan. So as she looked at Thomas, she knew she needed to get this figured out before they went back to the colony. While they were forced to spend alone time together and nobody could really interrupt them. Thinking back to that perfect moment that took place just minutes ago, Jade thought of the way he looked deep in her mossy eyes and she seen, more clearly than ever, the fondness he held for her and only her deep within him. The part that made her truly believe it was the fact that he allowed her to see it, she knew he could hide it if he wanted to. He was good at that sort of thing.

Looking at Thomas while he wrapped his knee, her green eyes wide, she didn't know how to ask him about it. He almost kissed her for Pete's sake! And yet is pretending like nothing happened? How could she possibly casually bring that up? Really the only thing the teen was afraid of was that it would turn into and argument and that the whole thing would be ruined. "Thomas..", she started, almost shaking with nervousness. What if she asked whether he liked her or not and she had totally been imagining the whole thing? Talk about awkward. But, attempting to muster up all the courage she had left, she just went for without mentioning anything specific. "Are you okay? Back there.. What was that? Would you like to talk?" this seems more like twenty questions. At least she was being nice. Barely breathing again, Jade awaited the answer, hoping beyond hope that she hadn't imagined the romantic connection between them..

//done! Jeez, sorry for the novel;)

  • // Don't be! That's amazing, you're amazing! I've been in some really bad role-plays where they were short posts, and sometimes even like …. well you know. THANK YOU SO MUCH

Thomas bit down on the cloth bandage, tearing it to finish off wrapping his knee. He pressed the flapping piece down carefully, trying to avoid any unnecessary pain. His eyes darted around, trying to avoid Jade's piercing gaze. He couldn't really determine how this was going to end, but he knew his partner was thinking about their near kissing incident, it was in her big … beautiful … green eyes. Grabbing ahold of his left arm again, Thomas breathed out heavily, wondering when the silence was going to end. It had to sometime, they had to talk about what just happened, but the boy was not going to be the one to speak up first. He would rather drinking scalding water then ask what they were going to do from here … after going from hating each other to … whatever this was. Truth was Thomas didn't really know. He had avoided the feelings of love so long, forced himself to not be able to recognize them if they ever tried to from their way inside his heart, that he actually didn't and wouldn't know when that dreamy feeling enlightened him. Denial was not in his nature, so the boy would not deny he felt something for Jade, something unusual and … happy, but his subconscious mind allowed him not to realize that he fallen hopelessly in love. It was there, it was noticeable, and his subconscious mind felt it in the fullest, but it didn't allow him to recognize it; to decipher these odd mushy feelings he had in the very pit of his being. Jade had taken over his mind and heart and soul, but he couldn't tell you why.

Before he could realize it Jade was speaking to him in hushed tones, he eyes pleading for answers but her voice reluctant to ask.
".. What was that? Would you like to talk?"
"No." His answer was simple and blunt, and rather rude for the desperate girl. Thomas had taken over her heart, but with him … with his personality and character … Jade, and any girl that developed such feelings for him, would be headed for major heart break. Thomas didn't open up, he was a hard shell to crack, even if you had managed to get him to weaken, like if he was near to kissing you. It was quite an amazing feat to just get him to that point. He risked a glance at his partner, regretting it the moment he looked into her eyes. Those mossy depths … they had a way of melting his heart. A pang started in his heart, then began in his broken left arm. Rejecting her obvious wish was going to effect him mentally and physically, it didn't take long for Thomas to realize that. "Jade, I can't explain what just happened because … I …. I don't know what just happened," he cried, his hands starting to shake uncontrollably, which caused pain to his broken arm. His voice had been freakishly sincere, but one could tell that deep down somewhere apart of him knew, and that part of him would not hare with the rest of Thomas. He needed an explanation …. Jade needed an explanation, and it neither of them knew they were at a standstill.
"D-do you know?" It was Thomas' turn to plead, which was quite unlike him. Realization after realization had occurred to him today, but it was this sudden one that set him off. He wasn't being himself … he was being weak and pathetic, he was letting a girl look into him deeper, and not just see the hard cover he worked so hard to develop. All those moments tonight … when he had acted rashly, acted kindly, with worriment for another … it wasn't the person he had made himself to be; to person he had created. "Oh goodness …" Thomas shifted backwards, creating distance from his partner and him. "What's wrong with me … what's wrong with me …" He couldn't breath, he started gasping quickly and frighteningly, and Thomas was sent into a full out anxiety attack -- which he hadn't had in six years.
