Alfred bit his lip, he always seeked Arthur's approval. He had grown out of the whole underling thing, but he came to rely on the others approval.

After being silent for a moment, Arthur finally looked back up at him. "I approve of something worth time like writing, Alfred.." He said, somewhat agitated that Alfred worried so much about what other people thought
-
Alfred disappeared for a moment before returning with a few typed pages. "It's called The fallen stars.... The main characters are a detectve named Allan and his partner Alice..."
-
[is this human au or regular universe by the way?]
Arthur took the papers from Alfred gently, reading through them quietly. He couldn't tell if Alfred had used auto correct or not, but he also couldn't tell with some of the words if Alfred was using the English spelling or the American spelling. Well, at least his love was literate. That was a good thing.
-
Ooc~ Their still nations just toned down with more smaller lives and more freedom.
Ic~Alfred walked around Arthur leaning down and pressing a light kiss to his throat. Before turning to go back to his game.
-
Arthur read as he ate, and went to go watch Alfred once he was finished. The Brit had learned not to interrupt the other's gaming, so he figured he would congratulate him later. He sat on the couch and brought his knees up towards himself.
-
Alfred's character died for the tenth time in the past twenty minutes so he turned the game off and came to sit beside Arthur... "Hey..." In rare moments when Alfred was quiet and serious it was usually a time to listen, if only he had those times during UN meetings.... "I really need you to know something."
-
Arthur looked up at him and angled his head to the side slightly. What did Alfred need that was so important? "Alright.. Is something wrong?" He asked, curious as to why the American would go so far as to turn his video game off to talk to him
-
Alfred bit his lip, "You know I love you right?" He was hardly affectionate, he expected the brit to know this so he hardly ever said I love you.
-
Arthur looked at him for a moment before asking. "Have you gone bloody mad?" He asked, confused as to why Alfred was acting like this today. Maybe Kiku had fed him some bad sushi or something. It took a moment for him to realize that probably gave Alfred the message that he didn't know. "Of course I do, and I love you back."
-
"Okay.... I'm leaving..." He winced slightly, "For a few months, then... then I should be back." Alfred mumbled. He ran a hand through his hair and turned to look at Arthur.
-
Arthur looked at Alfred, not sure how he was supposed to feel. He had a couple of things going through him right now. Things like confusion and sadness that Alfred would be leaving. "Why!?" He asked "Was it something I've done?"
-
Alfred shook his head, "No no nothing like that." He murmured and swiftly wrapped his arms around Arthur, "It's problems in the other nations that I have to help with."
-
Arthur sighed. He'd thought there was something wrong. "Then why the hell did you ask me that first!? You had me worried!" He seemed rather agitated, but wasn't pushing Alfred away or anything like that.
-
"I... I love you." He mumbled adding a cheeky smile afterwards, "Sorry I had you worried."
-
Arthur just rolled his eyes and kissed him gently on the lips. He didn't say 'it's okay' or even 'apology accepted'. Instead he just said "Don't do it again."
-
"I'm going to miss you." He mumbled.
-
"So will I. But it sounds important so you need to go. " Arthur figured that time would be an opportunity to go back to London or avoid his brothers
-
"I leave next saturday, " He sank back against the cushions, "At nine fifteen. "
-
"So that means we still have a bit of time left together." Arthur replied after thinking for a moment. He was somewhat glad Alfred wasn't telling him this last minute.
