  • Lawson's back buckled with a sudden loud sneeze, blond hair almost brown with the rain soaking it. "Bloody hell..." he muttered, swiping his mouth and nose with a sleeve. "Where could she be?" he wondered, emerald eyes narrowed in anger. "She's my demon, after all. She has to be somewhere nearby..."

Edlyn closed the door, eyes glinting through the window before she moved back to the driver's seat. With one swift crack of the whip, the horses were in a stiff trot, hooves pounding a gentle sound on the ground.

  • [font=times new roman][size=10][color=black]August shrugged with a giggle. "No, it's fine." He said with a bob of his head. "Might I ask your name?" He asked, blinking at her fondly with his one golden, one maroon eye.

  • "Oh my humblest apologies," I said placing a hand over my heart, "I am Ashleigh Elisabet Kirkland, I am from Japan, two months ago I moved here, my father built the estate within two months." I looked at the boy with a sincere smile "and yours if I may."

  • Edlyn didn't much like the idea of someone other than her near her master. It was just how she had been for a while. Every time she had a master, something just made her feel uneasy when they were around other people. After all, she had no trust in humans after a previous master, Remington, had been killed by his own fiancé.

  • "I smell a demon." I said under my breath, just like Alois. I smelled the air looking for the source, a little was on this boy and a lot of it was coming from the lady in black.

  • [font=times new roman][size=10][color=black]"Earl Augustine Elliotte Derosiez." August responded, laying back down in the seat, continuing to watch her closely, but making sure it was not too apparent. "How come you were out in the storm, without a carriage, a parasol, nothing?" He asked. Maybe something criminal, perhaps? Nah, it was all too quick to asume, and it couldn't possibly be such a skittish girl like herself, either.. "What was that? A demon?" He snorted unintentionally in a defensive and silly-looking stature. He forced a couple of laughs upon hearing her say that. "You believe in that mythological cra-... stuff?"

  • Oliver sighed once more. It had been a while now... And still, people refused to talk to him. Was he that intimidating? Shaking his head, many droplets of water scattered from his soaked brown hair. Though he froze after a moment when his sharp gaze caught sudden movement to the right. It seemed odd to him, the reason being that the street he was currently on was empty... Or so Oliver thought. Huffing softly in annoyance, he began to turn away, only to leap to the side as abnormally long silver claws sliced through the air where he'd been moments earlier. The claws ended up scraping across the cobblestone, creating a loud and slightly painful screeching sound that echoed off of nearby buildings.

  • Lawson's head jerked upwards at the sudden noise. "Oliver!" he bellowed suddenly, fear working its way into him. He didn't like the sound that reverberated around him, for some reason worried for his butler.

The female shot an unnerving glare forwards at the sudden accusation, slipping her leather-gloved hand into her pocket. With no effort, she retrieved a pearlescent bottle, dousing her neck and body with the strong perfume. She had no intention of being caught. Not today, when this girl could just go and tell all of London such things. She knew August would not give her an order to get rid of her unless he himself felt threatened.

  • "I was shopping for mys-er cats.... I caught in the rain. I am very hydrophobic," I said raising my bags of canned fish, yarn, and a toy mouse. I slipped though by pawing at the yarn. "So yeah." I said composing myself.

  • Oliver had no time to answer, gaze narrowed into an icy glare as he dodged more swipes of the deadly claws. He could now see that they were also dripping with some sort of transparent substance that definitely wasn't water. Frustrated, he continued dancing away from the swift blows. Though he was indeed a demon, Oliver knew he wouldn't be able to dodge constantly for much longer.

  • As the carriage approached London, the demon maid had soon caught wind of what was going on on sight. With no hesitation, she reigned the horses to a slow stop, before leaping off herself. Although she didn't know this demon, she had seen him around a couple of times, aiding her master's sworn enemy. It seemed that the demon had also found the criminal. In addition to that, the marquess nearby had a look of absolute horror on his young face. A look very familiar to her from years of service to different souls. She couldn't pass it up. With one single flick of her wrist, her whip flew out, and she had engaged in the fight as well. Well, it wouldn't hurt to have them indebted to my Master...

  • Oliver, distracted for only a second, glanced back in slight surprise to see someone new joining the fight. He'd seen her around before, and remembered her as the demon maid of his own Master's enemy. Why she was helping them out? He'd never know. The claws ended up gouging four jagged gashes into his side, dark crimson blood spilling out almost immediately. Oliver blinked, glancing down to across the damage for a moment, before leaping back into action. As a demon, he felt very little pain, therefore this wound only stung a bit. Whatever was attacking was going to pay dearly for ruining his clothes.

  • Edlyn lashed out at the beast with another quick whiplash. Her eyes had returned to normal, though the feverish anticipation coursing through her veins had not. She didn't much care for fighting with a partner, nor did she like acting without her master's order. But she also knew how to play her cards right, too. And this could be the perfect opportunity.

  • Rolling his eyes, Oliver backed away slightly. He sent a glance in Lawson's direction, confusion flashing across his gaze briefly. He hadn't heard his Master's arrival at all, oddly enough. "Master... I would recommend that you find shelter somewhere..." He muttered, arching a brow.

  • Lawson clenched his fists, shaking his head. "No! I'm giving you an order. Defeat the beast!" His green eyes flared with impatience, especially on sight of the earl's carriage. "And defeat it yourself. I want no debts to that indecent earl or his demon maid," he spat.

"It seems he caught on... He is smarter than I anticipated. Though I really wonder if you could pull off such a task as your master commands," responded the maid blandly, distaste evident in her eyes. She had met Oliver a few times, but in those short meetings, she hadn't grown fond of him at all.

  • "As you command, Master." Oliver replied obediently, before turning back towards the beast. He chuckled slightly at the maid's comment, as if it were a joke of some kind. "If you're unsure of my abilities, that just shows how much you underestimate others." He replied, before narrowing his eyes in concentration, and pulling two silver daggers from the holsters he'd attached to his belt. A few moments later, one blade found its way into the creature's flesh, Oliver smiling in satisfaction at its piercing shriek.

  • [font=times new roman][size=10][color=black]"Oh, I see.." August said, before the carriage came to a slow stop. He looked out the window to see his maid, and someone. It looked like they were fighting something. "My, my! " he gasped, with a light smirk. "I want to see this!" The boy hadn't realized he was talking outloud, and soon burst out of the carriage, trudging not too far away from the battle seen, but far enough to be a couple of meters away from the marquee. "Sick 'em, Edlyn!" he gasped, a challenging look in his eyes, as his mouth gaped open in a smile.

    Recap Please?

  • ooc: Well, Ciel and Sebastian should be leaving the park right about now, and Augustine's maid, Edlyn and Lawson's butler, Oliver are battling an unknown beast... As far as I know, Claude has not responded, Alois. I haven't seen him. Perhaps I should roleplay him until his roleplayer comes? I'm not sure.

Edlyn's calm demeanor changed for a spit moment, eyes slitting like a cat's. She bared her incredibly sharp white fangs into a smile as she retracted her hand, bringing the whip surging towards the beast. She didn't let her master see her frightening display. She didn't want to soil her reputation. She let herself disguise with the storm, aiming to strike the beast repeatedly.

Lawson shot a knowing smirk over to the other noble, chuckling. "Geez. That is some maid you have there, huh, Augustine?" His words were hissed like a snake, an extra ounce of disdain strapped to the earl's name. "Sure she isn't too good for you?"
