  • "I scent something but I can't tell what it is exactly." She said steadily and then as if on cue a giant russet furred creature stepped out from the shadows. Sirensong hissed and flattened her ears all the way to her head.

Tigershade yawned once again. He began to groom his chest fur.

  • Whisper looked up with shock it was staring straight at him as if wondering wether to attack or not.

  • Laird's ears flattened against his skull as a furious hiss came from him. He glanced over to Whisper, the medicine cat apprentice maybe shouldn't have came with them. He quickly snapped at him, "Run! Get back to camp and alert Tigershade and Chocolatepaw! Go now!" His piercing blue eyes once more focused on the fox, hissing at the russet-furred creature as his tail lashed to and fro.

  • Without a command Sirensong lunged at the creature. She batted at its face and soon she felt the soft flesh of an ear tear under her claws as she slashed its ear. It quickly gabbed her however and threw her. She landed on her back but luckily on nothing sharp.

Tigershade wondered why the patrol was taking so long. Normally they where faster than this slow pace. "A snail is faster than that patrol." He muttered to himself.

  • "Dang it.." Chocolatepaw sighed, he had wanted to go on a patrol, "alright.. maybe next time, thanks." he meowed to Tigershade.

  • Laird's tail lashed as he sprang towards the fox as well, sinking his claws into the muzzle of the unruly beast, his teeth bared. As the fox wildly shook its head, he hung on, growling. Though, eventually, he was thrown off, landing on his side heavily. Getting back up on his paws again, he charged forward.

  • Sirensong raised to her paws and let out a blood curdling yowl. She jumped and landed on the lower part of the foxes' throat. She sunk her claws in and blood welled around them. She hissed and sunk the deeper. She felt the flesh tear under them.

Tigershade heard the yowling and perked his ears. "Chocolatepaw something isn't right!" Lets go! He mewed and dashed off through the camp entrance.

  • Chocolatepaw heard the yowls as well "uh oh." he meowed and darted after the older cat. He raced out of camp, memorizing the path they took and reviewing himself mentally of all the battle moves he had learned, just in case.

  • Tigershade saw the cats fighting the fox and saw that Sirensong had a firm grip on the animal's throat. He lunged without thinking and landed on the leg of the fox. He climbed his way up leaving claw marks in the animal's leg.

Sirensong almost fell off her perch when she saw what Tigershade was doing. He was basically climbing the leg of this raging beast. The fox shook her off again but this time she landed on her paws.

  • Laird leaped up on the fox's back and sank his claws into the beast's back as he hissed in anger. His tail lashed back and forth as his ears flattened as he growled, continuing to slash down the fox's back continuously.

  • "Woah." Chocolatepaw meowed, seeing the fox. He had never seen a fox before. He unsheathed his claws and attacked.

  • Laird shouted out, "Chocolatepaw, be careful!" He nearly lost his grip, but he tightened his grip as the fox let out a yelp and continued to struggle.

  • Well is seemed like her clan mates had this one covered. Amber unsheathed her claws and circled the fox looking for an opening. She slashed at it's legs hoping to make some deep wounds or even make the creature stumble. Who would have thought they would run into a fox out of all creatures.

  • Amber attacked from below, making each attack count. This would probably be an easy win with minor causalities as long as everyone was careful. Also, hopefully this was the only fox. If there were others that wouldn't be good.

  • Laird was bumped off, he landed on his side as he was flung off. He struggled up on his paws, eyes narrowed as he leaped forward again, being persistent.

  • Sinking his front claws into the fox's flank, he let out a hiss of pain as the fox turned its head and sank its fangs into his side. Gritting his teeth, he refused to let go, though small tints of small hisses of pain escaped him.

  • Sirensong lunged for the fox's head. Obviously it hadn't ment to turn tail and run. The head was at a low enough level she could easily sink her fangs in. She pounced and sunk her teeth into the skull. The fox let go of Laird and began shaking its head violently. She bit down harder refusing to loosen her grip. The fox's knees became week and it began to stumble.

Tigershade leaped on top of the massive beast sank his fangs into its shoulder. He saw it begin to wobble and he knew it would soon die.

  • Laird landed on his paws, releasing his grip. Seeing as the fox was wobbling at now and that Tigershade had joined into the battle now, slinking forward he waited for a moment the strike, since now the fox's head was low to the ground thanks to Sirensong and Tigershade. With a vicious blow, he raked his claws once... then twice over the fox's throat, feeling blood spill out profusely as slowly but surely the fox was dying. He continued to strike, almost close to going into a frenzy though he slowed his blows only in the slighest since his wounds was bothering him from the fox biting him.
