Dustpetal's sleek blue point body was just awaking from a nap. She was saddened by the news her brother, Beewing, had been killed by his former mate Snowflower. She needed someone special to confide in. But who?

  • Nightstorm heard Dustpetal stirring in her nest, and lifted his head. He was thinking over somethings from his nest. He frowned at her sympathetically, and asked gently "Do you want me to ask [Whoever's deputy XD] to let you stay in camp a while longer?"

  • Dustpetal purred. "No it's fine," meowed Dustpetal, standing up to meet Nightstorm's nose. "I am just a little sad after my brother's death," she admitted, avoiding looking into Nightstorm's eyes.

  • Nightstorm tilted his head just slightly to glance into her eyes. "I'm really sorry about what happened. Beewing was a great warrior, friend and brother..." His ears flattened back an inch in sadness. "If you want to, you can talk to me?" He sounded uncertain.

(He's nice and sweet, but not very consistent or manly. XD)

  • (omg, that is just so XD)

Dustpetal shrugged and looked at the sunlight above. "No, it is okay. Do you want to come and patrol with me?" The blue point turned to Nightstorm slowly.

  • Nightstorm brightened instantly, smiling. "Sure! I would love to."

  • Nightstorm followed along, greetings cats as then padded along. I wonder why Snowflower would kill Beewing...

  • Dustpetal walked a little closer to Nightstorm. "The ShadowClan border first. They have been a little more hostile," meowed the blue point, gently nudging her companion to the west side of the territory. Of course, Dustpetal had the faintest suspicion Snowflower was jealous because Beewing's new mate, Applenose, just had three kits. Starlingkit, Sparrowkit and Flamingkit.

  • Nightstorm sniffed nervously as they got closer to the border, his ears stretching to see if they hear anything. "I hope they're not doing anything, or if they are, we can handle them."

  • "I agree," meowed Dustpetal. The warrior crept close to the border, sniffing carefully, and backed away. "ShadowClan is keeping away," meowed the she-cat, turning to Nightstorm.

  • Nightstorm relaxed visibly, smiling. "Well, no fighting today then?" He continued along the border, turning around to walk backwards once, grinning at Dustpetal before turning back around. Of course he nearly slams his nose into a tree, and embarrasses himself. GAH! Stupid tree...

  • Dustpetal giggled and then shutted her maw. "Oh sorry," she meowed, stifling some laughs as she stroked her friend's jaw.

  • Nightstorm blushed, but couldn't deny it was funny. "That's okay. The only damage is to whatever little dignity I had." He grinned, and purred.

  • Purring, Dustpetal suddenly glanced away from Nightstorm. But why? Her insides were heating up and she felt a little sick. What was happening to her? Looking up, she avoided looking at her companion's eyes and started walking silently to the WindClan border.

  • Nightstorm tried to ignore the nervous feeling welling up in side him, following her like normal. He kept glancing at her, distracted from patrol. She had suddenly become distant and he wondered why.

  • Sniffing the air, Dustpetal's nose wrinkled. "There's some sort of smell here, it isn't a Clan smell," she purred thoughtfully, looking at Nightstorm.

  • Nightstorm's ears perked up, and he opened his mouth a little to get a better whiff. "You're right... But I don't know what it is. Do you?" He looked confused, and tried sniffing around for more clues.
