Escape from the School - Open

It took all of Ginger's strength not to take off. She stood tense afraid of attack.

The creature grunted then sat back followed by the rest. "Yes! They like you guys" Tobi exclaimed. He looked up at them beaming a bright smile as one of the creatures extended its arm toward Ginger with an open palm

Ginger relaxes slightly. "Thats good to hear." She tilts her head slightly confused as she gazes at the creature.

the creature lets out another grunt forcing its hand closer, almost big enough for the girl to sit in. The white optics peer through the creatures dark brown fur as it begins to look like the creature is actually looking at and seeing her

"What does it want?" Ginger asks Tobi still confused.

"He wants you to rub his hand, it's a symbol of trust and shows you won't hurt him. With that, he'll protect you" Tobi looked over to Steele who already had two hands occupied as the creatures purred content

"Oh." She whispers before rubbing the creatures hand smiling slightly. She even kind of felt stupid for having to ask.

The creature extended its other hand cradling Ginger as she slowly rocked her back and forth. A somewhat soothing hum came from the creature as Steele stared up at her

Gings smiles looking over at Tobi and Steele.

"Wow, our matriarch loves you. She almost never lets anyone close, it must be your heartbeat" Tobi smiled. Steele sat down as the creatures curled up around them "This is so amazing, I thought of them as blood thirsty beasts and... they're just like me. I'm so ashamed.." he said softly, his voice trailing off

Ginger yawns looking up at the night sky. "This won't be such a bad thing." She mumbles sleepily.

"Yeah" Tobi yawns as a chain reaction cuddling in between the creatures as Steele does the same. "Night Ginger" Steele says softly before drifting off

Ginger shifts slightly and falls asleep.

((So sorry but I have to go, i'm volunteering at a pit bull rescue center so i'll be gone the rest of the day. I'll be back sometime tomorrow evening though, see ya later))

The sun silhouetted the tips of the trees, declaring it was morning as Steele woke with a yawn and stretched out. He scratched the back of his black hair trying to find comfort as he looked over to see if Ginger was awake.
((If you want a recap read through the replies, I never ask for a recap, I just read the comments and if I was inactive for a long time, I would simply read the comments. Ginger and I have been the only ones keeping the thread alive))

Ginger stretches as she wakes to the sunlight. Yawning she looks around to see if anyone else was awake. "Morning Steele." She says smiling as she notices he was awake.

"Morning G" he smiled as he stood and stretched. He extended his wing slapping it against a tree trunk as 6 mangos fell from the tree into his palms. He tossed Ginger two and handed two to Tobi as he woke. Steele bit into the juicy fruit sighing with content

Ginger smiles brightly and bites into the fresh fruit egarly. "Thanks Steele!" She says as she quickly finishes her first and starts on the second.
