"Whew. That was fun." Alex said. "Wasn't it?"

Nicky caught her breath."Yep. Really fun" she agreed.

"That was awesome!" Chris said. Even if it is the apocalypse he still acted like your average 11 year old kid.
"I must admit, it was a nice change in routine." Michael admitted.

"How about we change the routine again and take a nap somewhere" Nicky said brushing dust from her clothes.

"So long as it is off the ground." Chris and Michael said together.

"Great" said Nicky. She was so tired she almost fell over.

"If you want we can take you to our tree house." Chris offered. His brother glared at him as if it was supposed to be a secret.

Nicky nodded. "Sure. As long as I get to sleep."

Alex stretched. "Sounds good. I feel like I haven't slept in days." He said.

Nicky yawned. "I probably haven't slept in days" she said.

Michael didn't try to argue when Chris said, "Follow us. It's right this way." He then led who ever followed him outside the town and half a mile into the forest. "Here we are our grand abode." He said stopped under what seemed like a rather dense clump of branches to anyone who didn't know it was there.

Alex looked at it. "Wow....no one would ever know...." he said.

Nicky nodded. "Yep. It's pretty well hidden"

"Yep, my brother and our dad used to the be hard core hunters and were part of a group that liked to this kind of stuff and have a paint ball gun battles." Chris said admiringly. Then he pulled on what looks like one of many hanging vines and a trap door opened revealing a rope ladder. He gestured for everyone else to climb up.

Alex nodded and started climbing.

Alex made his way all the way up and looked around. "Nice...." he said with a grin.

Chris and Michael followed them up the ladder, Michael pulled up the ladder and trap door. "Yep, this one was the only one left that was built before the apocalypse. And it was the only one where me, my father and Michael built together." He looked sad at the mention of his father.
