Kat spat at his feet. "The only one who's going to die tonight is you, human filth" she hissed. "I won't let you destroy my home."

Kat smirked, her eyes glowing in the crimson light as she stood tall before the man. "It's true you may be powerful, but I'm fighting for my people, my family and my home. That makes me far stronger than you, a man who only fights and kills out of hatred" she said, her voice smooth and confident. "Coming here was your first and final mistake. You won't leave this place alive, Reigest."

"That's because you're too much of a coward to actually face him" Kat snapped. Tezi'al Zeko gleamed in her hand as she then charged at the man, her eyes glowing with the hunger to shed Reigest's blood. She needed to draw him over the spots that she and Dan had laid the traps.

Kat whirled to face him, eyes narrowed. "Lance is many things but he is no coward" she said. "If you wanted fair you should have thought of that before you did what you did to his family."

Kat stared at him in anger. "And yet even when we try to live peaceful lives and not hurt anyone, men like you always seem to seek us out and then whine about how mistreated you were after you killed our families in cold blood" she said. "Typical humans."

"So you get even with my kind by doing to others what one vampire did to your mother?" Kat said scowling, referring to what he had done to Lance's third wife and their daughter. "And now you've come this far north and claim to have never seen one of my kind try to live peacefully? What do you think I'm trying to do here? You burn my fields and my forest and arrive at my doorstep with the intention of destroying my home. I'm not hurting anyone as I really don't like to, but I guess you're giving me no choice."

"I'd almost feel sorry for you if you weren't so wicked" Kat said. She spared a quick glance at her husband in the distance, to see how he was fairing with the guards.

Kat sidestepped, avoiding his blow as she slashed at his face.

Kat chuckled, grinning a fanged grin at him. "Oh I'm just getting started" she said. She leaped backwards over the hidden trap beneath their feet and raised her sword in front of her, beckoning him at her with her fingers. "Show me what you've got, human. You want me dead? Come try your best." He wouldn't know about her abilities or what she was capable of, so the moment he stepped over the trap in front of her she fully intended to show him.

The moment his feet hit the ground above the trap, Kat grinned widely as her eyes glowed green. Invisible power exploded through the air, and thorns erupted from the ground, wrapping around his arms and legs to hold Reigest in place before he could reach her. In the same moment walls of reinforced earth rose around them, reaching toward the sky to seal them in the sphere together. "You’re out of your element here Reigest, but I’m in mine" she chuckled.
