  • “Alright," Kat said. Although it wasn't very long, she wasn't sure she could wait. “Will what you've been working on still work, on calming two children?" she had to ask. Lance had most likely been working on it to calm only one, so she wanted to know for sure.

  • Kat watched him add another ingredient before saying, ”Right, well, since it'll be a little bit before the mix is done, would you prefer us to come back, or will you come and find us? We'll most likely be in our room."

  • "I'll bring it you you" Lance said "Also i think you should try eating normal food once and a while, something easy on your stomach, it'll help the twins' growth and keep them settled"

  • Normal food? Kat had nearly forgotten how normal food tasted. Aside from eating apple sauce, blood was what she was used to. But nevertheless, if it helped the twins' growth and kept them calm, she didn't mind it. “Okay, will do," she said and nodded her thanks to him before turning and walking over to Dan and out into the hallway.

  • Kat followed him. Once they were in the kitchen, she sat in a chair at the table, waiting for him to get what he wanted to eat, so she could do as Lance had suggested, to try and eat normal food. Hopefully there was something easy on her belly in the fridge. If there wasn't, she didn't mind making something.

  • Kat looked at him as he started to make eggs and toast. It smelled surprisingly good, and almost immediately, her belly grumbled. She noticed he was making enough for her and him, and smiled a little.

  • Kat grabbed the blood-bag, opened it, poured the crimson liquid and applesauce into the glass and watched as the blood began to dilute. After a moment, she curled her fingers around the glass and took a few swallows before setting the glass back down. Surprisingly, the combination of blood and applesauce was tasting better.

  • Kat smiled at him and hesitated before taking a bite out of her toast. Although it was different, switching to normal food, it wasn't that terrible. It was actually good. She didn't realize that she had eaten all of her toast until it was gone and she licked the crumbs off her fingers, finding that even the tiny food particles were good. After a moment, she began to eat her eggs.

  • Kat felt his eyes on her as she stuffed her mouth, and she looked at him, swallowing some egg. At first she was puzzled as to why he looked so amused, but after a moment, she smiled as realization struck her. "Okay, so I regret not trying normal food until now. I guess I'm sort of pigging-out," she said, glancing down at her plate which was almost empty, then continued, "but I'm pregnant here with twins, so technically, I'm allowed to pig-out." She chuckled, returning to her pig-out-over-food, murmuring a "So good," through a bit of egg.
