• Evermore took a shot of a bird on a branch in the woods. She sighed. Her parents had died when she was young. Lets see, about... 4 years old. Now, she was an adopted child. Now, she was 15 and was a photographer. Her light green eyes looked up at the stormy clouds and smiled. She loved the rain and loved to take photographs in it. This town had known her as I guess... a Miller's daughter. She was after all.. Her parents were very mean to Evermore and decided to abuse her. The only thing that made her happy was taking photos in the woods. "Well at least..." She paused talking to herself as it started to downpour. "Uggg. I hate being alone in this world!"

Dylan pressed herself up against a tree as the cops whom were chasing her ran right by the tree, her heart pounding. Out of excitement, of course. Her cheeks actually hurt from how large her smile was. As soon as she saw the cops were out of hearing range, she bursted into laughter, unable to contain it anymore. Getting chased by the cops was an original routine for Dylan. A fun routine at that. How does she get in trouble, you may ask? Well, she steals alcohol and such. Yeah, she's not you're sweet little girly-girl; she's the young alcoholic. Why? Well, it's her parents fault. They would force her to drink and smoke when she was only eight or so, and now it's just become something she naturally does. Taking a deep breath, she collapsed down on the soft grass. Then, out of nowhere, she felt someone push her to the ground. Most people would start to freak out, thinking it was someone to come and kill them, but she knew who it was; her brother, Mitch. "Was that necessary brother?" She groaned, pushing herself up and facing her older brother. He was only 17, but she herself was 16, so she was younger. "Yes, it was. I just wanted to tell you that me and Jerome are gonna be out of town for a while. Going to see some old buddies. Just letting you know." Dylan groaned again. She wasn't very close to Mitch, but her relationship with Jerome was almost inseparable. They had known each other since Dylan could walk. They had even kissed once, but it was just a silly little kiss. They had both been quite drunk, so it wasn't a real kiss. And Jerome doesn't even remember it, so only Dylan and whoever else saw knows about it.

  • Evermore heard some voices in the distance and stood up. Her camera fell to her chest as she walked through the woods. She sees two people and walk towards them. "Who are you?" She asks them. She notices the boy. Her green eyes glint in the rain and her drenched self starts to think he is cute. She walks a little closer to them and she smiles up at the rain while also hiding her scars and cuts.

Dylan, among hearing a females voice, turned to see a girl with a camera dangling down to her chest. "I'm Dylan, and this is my brother; Mitch." She replied, eyeing the girl cautiously. To be honest, she was horrible around girls. Didn't matter if they were a tomboy or a girly-girl, she didn't act like either; she acted like a straight up boy. Always wearing jeans and hoodies didn't help her appearance of being like a boy anymore. Glancing back at Mitch, she noticed the look in his eyes. That look she always hated. The look of love. Why is there even such a thing as love, anyways? It always ends up in shambles and little broken pieces anyways. Why bother? This is exactly why Dylan and Jerome will stay forever best friends; nothing more.

  • Evermore smiled. "I am Evermore. Nice to meet you!"She walks up to Mitch first to shake his hand. Her brown hair up in a loose side ponytail. She wasn't much of a girly-girl. She would say more of a tomboy. Her heart pounded as she tried not to blush. Love at first sight, she thought to herself. "So, What brings you guys to the woods?" She asks trying to hide the fact that she doesn't want to leave this place again. She sighed sadly and her green eyes looked at the ground.

"Dy-" Dylan managed to interrupt Mitch before he could say what she was doing. "We were just taking a stroll. Our house is quite cramped, and I needed some fresh air. Then this idiot decided to follow me. He's quite clingy, to. Never leaving my side. And if he sees me alone, he gets all mad. Quite over-protective and over-attached." Dylan lied. Mitch was most definitely not a over-attached or over-protective person. He could care less if Dylan was alone. She was trying to get this girl away from Mitch. No one dated him. Not under her dead body.

  • Evermore looked up at Dylan. "Yeah... Okay." She didn't believe Dylan but she agreed. If only she could get a moment alone with Mitch! She looks at Mitch and her eyes kind of give off the message to him she hoped. She hesitated and picked up her camera. She turned around as her eyes searched for something to take a photo of. Finally she found a few birds in the tree closest to her. She took a few photos of them and put on a reluctant smile. Her eyes had a look of hurt in them as she thought of her real family. The Snow family.

Dylan was about to say something else when her phone went off. Sighing, she picked it up answering with an annoyed hello. "Well, somebody's in a grumpy mood!" Jerome's voice filtered through the speaker of the phone. Once she knew it was him, the annoyed tone of her voice slipped away. "Sorry Jerome, didn't check the caller ID. So, what did you call for?" Dylan responded, walking away from Mitch and Evermore so she could have more privacy. "Well, first of all, tell Mitch that we can't leave tomorrow. The weather is supposed to be horrible. Secondly, I was wondering if you wanted to go to a dance. The town is holding one and it's at the town square. You up for it?" A strange feeling entered Dylan, but she couldn't explain what is was. All she knew is that I was making her feel....happy. Warm. "Sure! When is it?" Dylan replied, smiling- no, more like beaming, as she leaned up against a rough barked tree. "Tomorrow at 10. 10 P.M. See you then! Or when you get back....Or whatever. Bye bestie!" Then Jerome hung up.
While Dylan had disappeared, Mitch had stolen his chance with Evermore. "None of what she said about me is true, by the way." He spoke up, hoping Evermore hadn't believed his sister. A part of him really liked Evermore; she was extremely beautiful and she did photography. He had always fancied girls who could do photography....too bad he'd never exactly had a girl who did photography....Dylan drove away every single one.

  • Evermore nodded. "I know. I didn't think you were like that even before she mentioned it." She replied to him calmly. She really liked Mitch. She liked how he was so Sexy and his hair was shaggy that day. "Do you normally gel your hair? May I ask?" She asks him, not trying to get into his personal space.

"Well, actually, yes I do. Devyn was rushing me though, so I didn't have time to gel it up." Mitch shrugged, the beginning of a starting on his face. He had to admit; Evermore was quite beautiful. Much more beautiful then the other girls he had tried to hit on before. And she was different. He couldn't quite explain how she was, he just....well....could feel it. "Mitch! Lets go!" Mitch jumped as he heard Devyn's voice, then sighed. "I'll be there in a sec!" He shouted back at her, then glanced over at Evermore. "Meet up here tomorrow at noon. K?" He said, patting her shoulder with his hand. And, without waiting for her response, he ran off after his sister.

  • Evermore smiles and nods as he runs off. As she walked home she tried to avoid her house but couldn't. She walked inside just as her "parents" were coming out. "Get Inside. NOW!" Her father yelled at her. Evermore ran upstairs and tried to block out what they were all saying. Her "sister" came upstairs and walked into Evermore's room which was the small attic. "Mother wants you to wash up for dinner. And put on this dress." She throws the dress in her hand on Evermore's bed and mumbles something under her breath before leaving. Evermore looks at the dress and a growl-like sound came out. She reached out for her phone and typed in Mitch's number.

Mitch raised a brow as he saw Jerome and Devyn sitting so close to each other on the couch watching some sort of romance movie. He knew they would be leaving for a party soon, and he really wouldn't be shocked if they came back making out with each other. Shaking his head and sighing, he started up the stairs to where his room is. Upon reaching it, his phone started to buzz in his back pocket. Reaching into his back pocket and pulling the phone out, he quickly answered it knowing it was Evermore. "Hey Ever. What's up?" He spoke, his voice seeming to echo through the phone.

  • Evermore sighed. "It's my parents, they caught me coming back from our visit... Now their making me get in a fancy dress for.... Dinner!" Evermore paused. She moved the hair out of her eyes and listened to the phone with Mitch on the other end. "This really sucks... I hate living here... I hate my family, almost everything in my life...." Evermore left out the fact that Mitch was the only light in her life at the moment. She heard her parents downstairs and sighed again. "I better go. I'd rather not go to dinner but... See you tomorrow, okay?" She asks Mitch hopefully.

Mitch sighed pitifully as he sat on his bed, tracing random lines on his wall. "Yeah, see you tomorrow Ever....Remember, if you need someone to cheer you up, I'm here. You won't be alone in this world." He hated seeing people hurt. Especially if by parents or family or anything. And it even hurts worse when it's someone he knows. And likes. Then something seemed to strike him like a hard blow to the stomach. While he had been studying Ever earlier [more like checking her out], he had spotted red markings on her neck. At that time he had only though of it as to be a birth mark or something of the sort. Now it all seemed to click. Ever hated her family at the moment, and they seemed to hate her back, so that red marking around her neck....it had to be from abuse. Instead of feeling sadness for Ever, he felt a small pit of rage boil in his stomach. Why did people even abuse they're kids? What's the fricken point!? No matter how hard Mitch tried, he couldn't conjure one.

  • Evermore hung up the phone and got into clothes she thought were "fancy" and walked downstairs. "You happy? I got all fancy for dinner." Her mother stared at her and then grumbled that it was the best scrubs that Evermore had. They gave her a plate with the scraps on it and sat her down at the very end of the table. Evermore picked at it and grumbled. She ate what was on her plate and excused herself to bed. "God, let this torture end soon..." A tear rolled down her cheek before she drifted into a short sleep. The next day, her alarm woke her at 7:00 in the morning. That was early enough for her to sneak out without being noticed. She slipped out the front door and ran into the woods where her and Mitch said to meet. She looked down at her camera and started t take some photos while waiting for Mitch.

Mitch woke up to Devyn throwing freezing cold water on his face. Jumping out of his now soaking wet bed, he glared at his sister. "Was that really necessary?" He snapped, then noticed the time out of the corner of his eye. 7:30 a.m. "Wait, don't answer that." Pushing Devyn out of his room, he shut the door behind her and quickly got into his normal clothing; a t-shirt that reads 'Power Moves Only', jeans, and sneakers. Looking outside, he quickly noticed it wouldn't be a bad idea to bring his black and red checkered sweatshirt. Snatching it from the corner of his bed, he slipped into it and started to walk out of his room. Halfway down the stairs was when he started to remember he had to gel his hair still. Moaning, he rushed into the bathroom and, as fast as he could, put his hair into it's normal spikiness. Finally ok with his look, he ran outside without worrying if Devyn or Jerome saw him. Casting a quick glance around the area, he continued to make his way into the forest. Finally, he saw Evermore with her back turned to him. Smirking, he started to creep up on her and, when he was close enough, he wrapped his arms around her waist and whispered "Boo" into her ear.

  • Evermore jumped. "Oh, God! Mitch!" She laughed. She turns around to face him and she smiles. "You gelled your hair today. Hey, you wanna know something?" She asks him with an excited tone. She doesn't wait for his response before telling him to follow her. They walk up to and old abandoned house with two floors. She walked up to its door and walked inside. "Come on! It'll be fun!"
Mitch laughed at her reaction, then ran after her. Upon seeing the abandoned house, he couldn't help but grin. "Ooh, spooky!" He teased, then walked ahead of her into the house, grabbing her arm. Maybe this would give off the hint that he liked her....Or maybe she doesn't like him back. Maybe she just wants to be friends. What if he's wrong and when he tries to ask her out everything gets all awkward? The bad possibilities were endless.

  • Evermore laughs and blushes. She grabs his arm and pulls him in. "Upstairs or Downstairs?" She asks pulling him a little closer to her. What if he didn't like her... She thought. What if he didn't like her like she liked him? She leads him upstairs, then all chaos breaks loose. She kept hearing voices calling her names like, Worthless, Loser, Pig, and Crazy. She couldn't take it anymore and wound up passing out upstairs.

"Evermore!" Mitch shouted, rushing up to her. Out of instinct, he quickly checked her for a pulse, fearing the worst. Just about to give up looking for it, he could finally feel it. Letting out a sigh of relief, he came to the conclusion she had just passed out. Lifting her into his arms, he walked back down the steps and set her down outside. She looked like she was just sleeping. So peaceful. A shaft of light managed to peak through the trees and land among her unconscious body and Mitch couldn't help but kneel down beside her and left her into his arms again. That's when he realized he could actually kiss her without her knowing. Without thinking, he leaned closer to her face and kissed her lips, smiling. They sort of tasted like cotton candy, to be honest....
