Earlymorning stifled a yawn. Her roleplayer was very tired, and her mood always showed onto the characters. Though tired, Early seemingly carried a smile. Why? Well that's obvious! She had a shot at becoming a semi-hp! Her mother, sister, father, and step-father were all paladins, so she couldn't help but wonder how'd they'd react if she became a field medic. The grin on her face widened, but she then contained her excitement as she reached the medicine den.
"Hello." She smiled as she saw another cat in there. Isn't he Incey? Maypa-flower's co-worker? she tried to remember who he was, but simply shrugged it off.

The flame point cat had been feeling happier recently - his family was almost whole again. Peachy was gone, but he knew she was safe in StarClan and was probably happier there. But he finally had Hanging back, and Archel was back too. Feeling better than he had done in a while, he dragged himself up to Earlymorning with a light smile, mewing, "Hi - anything wrong?"

"Er - No, I just wanted to come see if I could... um... learn some basic medicine?" She smiled shyly, having no idea what to actually say.

•
Of course. He'd had it so many times. Obviously he was glad that nothing was wrong with her, but he bit his lip before replying. Usually they were kits that came in and asked him to show them some herbs, or sometimes apprentices. They always showed off as much as they could and, whilst he loved kits, it had grown to irritate him a little. The intention was always clear, and they always tried to seem better than the last in any way possible. Some had even spoken to Sorrel, then tried to impress him by asking to learn something and showing off. Well, maybe Earlymorning would be more mature; she was a warrior and should be sensible enough. "Sure - what do you already know?"

"Not much." She sighed, wishing she knew more

He nodded, wishing he had a little more than that to work with. Ah well, he'd work it out. Bringing out the absolute basics, he placed them down. Small black seeds, cobwebs, and a yellow-orange flower. "Do you know any of these or their uses?"

• [fancypost borderwidth=0pt; font-size: 11px; font-family: arial; text-align: justify; width: 350px;]
"Um..." She paused and studied them for a moment, "Spider Webs are put on wounds to stop bleeding. Er, poppy seeds are used to... um... help sleep, ease pain, and doesn't it also calm, or sooth shock or something?" She looked at the yellow-orange flower a little longer. "Is that Dandelion?" She bit her lip, wanting to make sure she got the right plant.

He dipped his head occasionally as she answered, noting the things she knew. As she came to the flower, he shook her head at her guess. "Marigold: used to prevent infection."

/rushed, sorry

She nodded, seeing how it was marigold - feeling a little stupid for not realizing before. "Um... what's that?" Early asked, pointing to a bundle of green leaves with a strong, sharp scent.

•
He glanced back at the herb, assuming she was referring to the catmint. "Catmint - also known as catnip. Do you know what it's used for?" Some only knew the uses from the name rather than the scent or appearance, and he might as well see what she knew without any prior training.

"I know it's like a... um... anti-depressant. It can, like, numb the senses or something and put cats into a state of... pleasure?" She said, pausing at the end to try to think of a good word to use. "But I'm not exactly sure if it has a different medicinal use."

•
He gave a light nod, surprised that she knew those things but not their main and most important use for it. "The main use would be that it cures greencough." It did the same for whitecough, but that could heal on its own. He might've said blackcough, if he weren't so icily aware that blackcough was devastating and he didn't know anyone who'd come back from it.

Earlymorning nodded, interested in what he said. Any signs of sleep deprivation or depression had seemingly faded away. She had calmed around the herbs, and felt more at peace.

•
Glad that she seemed to be taking everything in just fine, he mewed, "Are there any specific herbs you'd like to see?" Some cats had heard of herbs that they wanted to see and hear about, and he assumed that Early had one or two of her own.

"May I see some... mint?" She said, knowing the plant was known for it's unique scent and taste.

//low muse :)

•
He nodded, dipping into the herb storage to look for the herb. Emerging, he held the plant in his jaws and placed it in front of Early. "Do you know what it does?"

/haha same with incey

• [fancypost borderwidth=0pt; font-size: 11px; font-family: arial; text-align: justify; width: 350px;]
She frowned, thinking extremely hard, but failed to remember any knowledge of mint. "Um... n-no..." She said, a little embarrassed that she didn't know.

•
"It's fine, not many do," he mewed, eyes glinting friendlily, before adding, "They're used to disguise the scent of death when holding a vigil for a lost Clanmate."

• [fancypost borderwidth=0pt; font-size: 11px; font-family: arial; text-align: justify; width: 350px;]
"Oh..." She said, that was fairly depressing. To think - so many know about that plants, but they probably didn't know it was just used to cover the scent of death. "Are cattails used for anything?" She said, then quickly added "I mean the water reed - not actual... cat tails..."
