    It's a free place as far as the eye can see, but that doesn't mean danger doesn't lurk at every turn. In a place like this, there are no rules. For a pack like us, it can be extremely dangerous. We are known as The Dogs of the Field, shepherds fear us, herders despise us. Transylvania may seem like there's plenty of room, and there is, but wolves, bears, and pack's of the shepherd's dogs are always out to get us. We are a hunted back, but we also do the hunting. Guns are always pointed in our direction, waiting for us to attack the sheep or raid the stock house. It's a difficult life for a pack of stray dogs, but it can be wonderful too. We all just have to be careful, extremely careful...[/fancypost]

    Bridger is very daring and brave, and sometimes that leads him into trouble. He's loyal and will do anything for the pack, even if it's for his life.     Delilah can be spoiled, sassy, and rude, but that's just her outer shell. She is very distant, and extremely hard to befriend, but her heart is in the right place. She is extremely loyal to her pack, and she never backs down from a fight. She takes pride in her skills and is snappy, even sometimes disrespectful, but that's only because she's secretly very sad and lonely. It takes a lot of patience to understand her.

    Personality
    Astrid is most definitely a competitive she-dog, with a feisty attitude. She's always trying to act tough or intimidating, whether it be during training, in camp, or even in an actual battle. She can be a bit cocky at times, thinking of herself as one of the strongest in the pack. Not being one of those gossipers or girly-girls, she has many more guy friends than her own gender. And she loves it. It's where she fits in, and she doesn't regret it one bit. If you get to know her, you'll realize that she's a blast. Although she can be tough at first, it's not very hard to create a tight bond with her, and it'll most likely never break. It's not hard to just be a normal friend of hers either. She's always willing to go on a walk, hang out, or just have a nice conversation. Well, when she's not doing her duty as guardian. Her leader-like traits are her braveness, and the fact that she'd stand up for anyone of her pack-mates. Yes, she does long to be leader, but accepts Charlie just as she would herself. She's always trying to do something to help, as she's just naturally hard-working. Her choices are usually good ones, although she can sometimes go too overboard with things. But, nonetheless, she'd protect anyone if they asked. That brings me to her caring side. Astrid has never exactly 'loved' anyone, so her caring side doesn't show too often. Of course, there's her friendly traits, but compassion hasn't come up lately. You'll be lucky to pull it out of her, but be warned, she is short-tempered. There's a lot of complications, but they're worth it in the end, I promise. If you just so happen to create a relationship with her, whether it be a new friend, best friend, or maybe a little more than that, be prepared for her devilish humor and witty persona.

    History
    "I was born in a different pack, one of few dogs. I had one sibling, a male named Oak. Unfortunately, he was born blind. Only a short time after he was born, he was captured by a hawk. Tragic, really... Like I mentioned before, a very small number of canines formed our group. There were perhaps six or seven of us, including my parents and I. Instead of training to be brutal or tough, we learned the ways of secrecy. We slunk around and stayed silent, careful not to be caught by the creatures lurking around the city. My best friend, Knight, was like my brother. We would always race each other and talk for hours at a time... Honestly, I'm pretty sure we were meant to be. That's were I got my competitive touch. And my love for being tough, not like most females. That all changed when a fire was lit in our home. It was a stormy night, the sky rumbling with thunder. As a lightning bolt shone down from the sky, it managed to light a blazing fire throughout the old abandoned building that posed as our safe haven. All I remember was the deathly smoke, trapped in my nose and lungs. I still have a coughing problem to this day... I got out in time, pelt coated with ash and many parts of my fragile body burnt. I called for my parents; for Knight; but it was too late. The roof collapsed, leaving me scurrying for my life. I ran for what seemed like hours, looking for something, anything to pose as a home. I was somewhere around a year at the time... Somehow I managed to avoid predators, grateful that I weaved around them. Then I found this place. A little building in what seemed like nowhere. I trotted near, and soon realized that many dogs belonged to this place, many more than my former home. I willingly joined, grateful for their hospitality. I was given the rank of Guardian, and it's sort of stuck with me ever since. Now here I am. Any questions?"

    "I talk. A lot."
    Rae is a very talkative female, and almost never has a blank mind. She's always on her toes, and has military precision when it comes to getting things done. Her constant thoughts and feelings make it hard for her to accept the emotions she feels towards others, and although she isn't rude, or snappy like many dogs are, Rae is very sarcastic, and will playfully tease others.


    Rae can sometimes be caught rambling to herself about things to be done, or things she's annoyed about, which often happens when panicked, or confused. When she is in one of these states, Rae becomes fairly clumsy, and oblivious to the things around her. However, she is a determined female, and always does her best to make sure everything is done to the best of her abilities.


    There are some, who feel uncomfortable around Rae, because of how outgoing she is. If needed, Rae will flirt to the extreme in order to persuade someone, and never feels awkward about it. This also brings on her self-inviting nature, which results in Rae being assertive, and to-the-point. She has no problem making herself right at home, and although this attitude of hers can be considered as rude, she doesn't mean any harm, or disrespect by it, it's just who she is.

    My paws stopped in mid-step as I heard the yelps and snarls of a nearby attack. But the strange thing was, I had no reaction to it besides the simple flick of my ear.


    Maybe I was used to Brutus' merciless ways by now, or maybe there was just some part of me that had grown numb to surprise. I always felt sorrow towards those dogs who lost their lives at the hands of my cruel Alpha, but I couldn't say anything about it, for not only would he turn on me, but I'd only make the ones like me in this pack unsafe. Oh, how I wished to sink my prey white ivories into his filthy, hairy throat. But I couldn't. This restriction of mine made me angry, angry at the fact that I had to accept my weakness, and keep following Brutus under his bloodthirsty rule. And the worst part? He would only influence Demetris into becoming the same type of dog.


    As I snapped myself out of my thoughts, I caught sight of other dogs, my packmates, showing similar expressions to what I was feeling. Though I longed to support them in their opinions on the Alpha, I also didn't want to draw anymore attention to myself, so I simply turned away, my nose now focused on finding any signs of food.

    Zoro, being a largely self centered and perhaps arrogant dog, usually acts in his best interests, and prioritizes his own needs and wants above anything a group or another dog might need. So some might ask, why would such a canine be interested in joining a group? The answer; largely for self preservation. While he may be greedy and selfish, the shepherd is not stupid. He knows that he is likely to survive longer with others to watch his back, even if he doesn't always have theirs. Also because of his nature, he has a noticeable lack of friends. For, who wants to associate with such a greedy, self serving mutt? He has found very few he is willing to trust, and only those persistent enough may find out some of the reasoning behind his nature.


    At times Zoro may come across as lazy due to unwillingness to work on or do things he sees as pointless. And, he's not beyond quarreling with the 'proper authorities' if he feels like it. However, when he does have a reason to work or has something he wants to accomplish, Zoro is persistent enough to not stop until he either has what he wants or it has been denied to him outright. This includes the attention of females, at times.


    Despite his selfish nature however, the dog does not like to be the center of attention. He is more of a silent observer, only doing assigned tasks or helping another if he feels he will be benefited in some way, by doing it. Trust is not something that he finds easy. Having been betrayed more than a few times will rightfully cause some weariness, and such is part of the reason for his tendency to prioritize himself over others. Life has taught him to look out for number one, and to forget the rest of them. Fun and games are something that rarely cross this dog's mind, though he does often go out on his own.

    "I'm self explanatory."
    Hellen is brave, forgiving and loyal to the core. She respects others and hopes to be respected in return, she is very polite and has great manners, bowing her head while near higher ranks and letting young feed before herself. She will actually only ear until every dog in the pack has eaten. She is very patient and will spend her entire day of she must, trying to find good food for the pack. She is confident in herself and she sees the light in all dogs, but because she's part Rottweiler if taunted or in fight, she can get aggressive quickly and is quite powerful.

    "My mother was Collie and my father was Rottweiler, they were town dogs but they have me to the pack. In hopes that I'd raise to be powerful and free, not powerful and trapped. As all dogs know what happens when powerful dogs don't get their freedom."

    "My mother and father left me in the wild to die, not much. I've never seen them since, oh and my brothers; all three of them, went to be herding dogs as they were more Collie than Rottweiler. I on the other hand had the strength of a Rottweiler but the looks of both, making me more if a wild dog."
