Slowly, the scratches began to disappear. His wings stopped turning grey, although the parts that had already turned that color did not become white again. A single feather fell from one, landed on the floor, and disintegrated into dust. Ash mumbled something incomprehensible, shivering in his sleep.

DJ cuddled close to Ash and Dusk. Dusk kissed him and stroked his chest.

Ash continued to shiver, his face pale. The dreams were gone, and so was the fever, but they had left him cold.

"Ash?" She asked silently ,feeling he was cold she grabbed a blanket and put it around him.

Slowly, his shivering stopped, and after a long while he opened his eyes a little. "Dusk?"

"I couldn't live without you ,Ash." She whispered kissing him on the lips.

He smiled, just slightly. "I don't think I could live without you, either."

Dusk smiled and hugged him.

Ash returned the hug, still feeling tired and weak from the poison but not really wanting to tell her that.

DJ nuzzled at Ash's side and meowed. Dusk looked at DJ.

He took a deep breath, but said nothing, simply lay back with his eyes half-closed.

Dusk sat by him and looked at the wall.

"I feel different," he remarked quietly. "Was- was I...fading?"

"Yeah." She answered looking at him.

He nodded slightly. "How bad was it?"

"A bit fast ,I was scared to death..." She said.

He nodded again. "How did it stop?"

"DJ saved you and she was the one that scratched you..." Dawn said gentle picking DJ up.

Ash raised an eyebrow. "Really?"
