uh any tips on making sure you lead the clan properly and dont fall into the depths of inactivity ?

  • [fancypost bgcolor=; borderwidth=0px; bordercolor=; width: 350px;][justify][color=white][size=7pt]thanks guys! uvu

i'll make sure to bookmark it. for now, i'll leave this open if anyone else wants to chip in with tips c:

  • [align=center]My biggest piece of advice is this; post in open threads.
not saying leaders who don't are bad, but when the leader of a clan is active in places other than the leaders' board it just...gives off good vibes uwu

    & also !!
congrats, even though that means feesh is leaving :c

  • I am a current leader and it isn't the easiest job in the world. Just to try and be attentive and yeah planning fun events for the clan helps keep activity up and the roleplay more fun! Don't stress about it though you can always get some help from your deputy as well ;) Good luck and lead your clan proudly.

  • [fancypost borderwidth=0px][size=8]tracking bc i'm kinda nervous, too cx

congratulations to both of you, i must say. you have both worked very hard with your characters and you certainly deserve it. i know sunclan will be lead well.
but i most agree with what frostsoul and tigernach have said. if nothing happens within a clan, then it will be harder for people to find muse with their characters, something i know from experience. if something shocking recently happened, then it impacts emotions and actions as well as activity so that there is something for everyone to do besides games and hunting patrols. and it is always good to see the leader interacting with others. you had to work hard and post a lot to become leader, but that does not give you the excuse to take a break once they have reached that role.
what i learned most of all from roleplaying calla is to know when you have done enough. this piece of advice will not be needed except for once in a blue moon, but i think it is important as well. i had my leader demote herself because i felt as if i was not active enough, that i could not be a good leader. when you have no muse, it is fine to get a co-owner or temporary player or something of the sort, but when playing them becomes a chore, so does taking responsibility of the clan. a player who loves the clan and puts their time into it will have a positive outcome, but sometimes you need to realize when it simply is not working for you. playing a leader is hard, especially for such a large clan as sunclan, and it can be a lot of pressure.

    Congrats!

You do need to be very active - I suggest you make a 'Leader/HP Request Thread' if you don't already have one. Keep the activity in the Clan with fun events, and get also a good team of other high positions that are also active to help contribute to the Clan. Ally with other groups, hold important meetings and encourage others to join. I found playing the leader of Skull quite a demanding job, with the constant problems of she-cats and sexism, and made sure deputies were ready to take up the leadership before Pluxiria died.

I also suggest having a co-leader if you want to share the job, or two deputies.

  • [fancypost borderwidth=0px; width: 400px][justify][size=1]congratulations to both of you, even though i am saddened over feesh leaving i know both of you will make excellent leaders for sunclan. for me i was always freaking out when i started to play a leader and i have to say i was horrible at it since i didn't really have help, but it did lead me to learn a few things; an active and helpful leader is always good, try and get them out and about into any thread you can, set up games, maybe a few raids, events and the like to get people interested. and i must agree with bekee, if you have little muse or else time getting someone to help you out is a good idea since it will help to keep them out and about other wise things will start to fall apart, an outcome no one wants but it has happened before

  • [font=georgia]I can offer you advice on leading SunClan as I was a previous leader as well as having just been leader of CryptClan.

However, my leadership of SunClanwas kind of different in the first place which attracted a lot of people. Anyway, what I did was I made sure that my character was always changing with the Clan. With the amount of open threads I posted in with him and made for others to participate in, he got a lot of interaction with the characters and formed a lot of relationships. Some of them were bad, some of them were good but it made for good character development.

Another thing, NEVER be afraid that an announcement/meeting you're going to make is going to be unpopular. I never let in character affect anything I did with Sabrestar and that did end up getting me a lot of haters/dislikers of Sabrestar but ultimately people loved what I was doing with him. This was before takeovers became a thing of just being temporary and in total I think he led for a good year if you add up all four times he was leader of SunClan?

Anyway, the best advice I can offer you is always stick with Nidalee as a character. Never let out of character influences decide what you do with her.

Lots of meetings, making sure that all HPs stay active (I had promotion/demotion threads maybe once or twice a week that is how on top of HPs activity I was. I always warned them first but still, I made sure they were active so as not to make others feel left out if their character was more active. Not saying go to this extreme but make sure ALL the HPs of SunClan stay active) and try to spice things up every once in a while. Make them lose a life in a dramatic way or something else dramatic happens to Nidalee. Also, DON'T DO A MOVE TO PROMOTE ACTIVITY. Normally it kills it and can become confusing. I think SunClan has moved like three times within the past year. Only move if you have a new territory in mind that would suit pre-planned changes to SunClan's culture.

Just don't let it become boring with tonnes of threads just centralizing around patrols/hunting as those can become kind of tedious after a while and you should be all good :)

I probably repeated myself a lot but whatever I repeated those are good points xD
You will do a great job Stormy!

Congrats to you and Indigo :)
