he perked his ears, smileing when he caught sight of the ginger and white she-cat. the beautiful ginger and white she-cat. He felt himself mentally kick himself at the sappiness of the thought, but he pushed it aside, sitting down, "i think the cuts are getting better, my paws are still sore a little thought" he reported faithfully, starring at his injured paws instead of her pretty eye-there it is again.

She gently smiled, "Here, let me see your paws, I'll rub a little more Chervil on them." She gazed at the Handsome Brown Tom, and noticed that she was gazing to long. She looked away, grabbing some chervil and sitting down infront of him, not looking up at him at all.

Silverjaw shrugged " I don't know maybe just a walk?" His gaze locked with hers.

Riversnow settled down beside him and nudged the prey towards him " Rough night?"

brindlepaw purred, giggling, "thats not training, silly!" but she got to her paws, smileing cheerfully as she headed off towards the forest

Speedstar, grateful to have some company, nodded, "yeah...its not as warm as it used to be..." he murmured sadly, taking a bite out of the prey

Thicketwing glanced up momentarily to catch her gazing at him. A warm tingle fell down his spine, only to be extinguished as she looked away and didnt look back up. his heart wailed at him to make a move-like ever tom should, but his mind reminded him painfully of the consequences. He sighed, nodding and lifting his paws. He blushed, for a second, he visioned himself wrapping those paws around her neck again and forcing her to sleep with him for once since she became a medicine cat. He sighed wistfully, closing his eyes

AmberLeaf gently dribbled the Chervil juices on his paw pads, she glanced at him for a second, but then concentrated on her work. After She had finished, she set the Chervil down with the rest since she had a little left, "Your paws should be better now." She purred softly.

She nodded with understanding feelings she watched Jetpaw,who looked down.

Silverjaw trotted with Brindlepaw's pace " I wonder what your warrior name is going to be"

He let out a pleasant sigh, the burning in his paws subsiding as the herbs took effect, easing the pain, "thanks" he meowed gratefully, licking her shoulder respectfully before limping out of the den, "if you want, i could grab you something to eat?" he asked before he exited the den, glancing at the she-cat

AmberLeaf smiled and walked up to him and put her head on his shoulder, "I would've slept in the warriors den with you but I couldn't risk it. It was really comfortable and I miss not being able to train with you, but maybe someday you can teach me a few more moves, you know for safety reasons." She whispered in his ear, slightly purring and then backed away. "Yes, I would like something to eat, Thanks" She said in her normal voice, her tail flicking slightly.

Thicketwing blinked, surprised. He hadn't expected her to have...a smile played on his lips as, without hesitation, he licked her cheek, "Amberleaf..." he murmured, feeling his heart race as he realized what he was about to do, but in a few moments he whispered, "i dont want just your warmth...i want you"

Ic: She blushed madly and a small tear ran down her face. She plopped down into a sitting position, "I-I I wish It wasn't against the rules..." She couldn't help but sob, "I'm so sorry, ThicketWing." She whispered, "I shouldn't be crying." She started to choke on her sobs as she spoke, "I feel so embarrassed..." She hung her head and wiped a tear away with a paw.

He tipped his head to the side for a moment " Hmmm maybe Brindlewillow or Brindleflower or Brindlesong or maybe even Brindlesparrow, yes that name suits you well its a beautiful name for a beautiful shecat" he blushed slightly after he noticed whathe had ssaid

Thicketwing, though he felt guilty for making her cry, smiled softly and used his paw to lift her chin, "dont be sorry...just having you heal me makes me feel special" he murmured solemnly, though his eyes glinted with sadness, "I...i should be apologizing...i shouldn't have told you...i know the risks and the consequences...and i know im only making life harder for you.." he hesitated, then pulled his paw away, knowing he was probably making things worse, "your a great medicine cat, with talents that could heal a sick badger, I dont want to ruin that..."

Brindlepaw blushed, surprised herself by her mentor's words, but she smiled brightly, figuring he was only trying to make her feel good-like a dad would with his daughter-but his words still made her feel sparkly inside. She thought for a moment, then meowed, "actually...i want to be Brindlesilver, after the most greatest warrior and mentor in the world!" she glanced up at silverjaw, her eyes sparkleing

"N-No, I'm kinda glad you told me. I've felt the same way when we were younger but... I put it aside for so long, and... Now that we've talked again, I just can't." Her voice started cracking in some parts and her tears slowly stopped falling, "I just wish that we could live a happy life together and nobody would care that much, but we can't. It's not like we can in secret, It would make it so hard. The only time we could spend together is at night or if we both leave camp at the same time, but cats would get suspicious." She stopped and sighed, "W-Why do I keep talking... I'm just giving my hopes up." She said those last words quietly, looking up at the tom's beautiful golden eyes.

Thicketwing flinched at the truth in her words, knowing he's broken heart. He looked away, not able to meet her gaze. He stared at his paws, unsure of what to do. He'd spent all his life standing at the sidelines, letting everyone be the hero and have the happy ending...Now, he'd made the move that both gave him happy...and an ending...His eyes hardened. no... he turned meeting the she-cat's eyes. He felt his cheeks warm at the feelings and passion inside her beautiful optics, "no...no, i dont care about the risks, ill find a way-we'll find away" he pressed his nose into her cheek, "i love you..."
He froze when he heard the yowl. Lifting his head, he pulled away from the she-cat as he limped to the entrance of the den, his eyes wide with worry, "Amberleaf..." he meowed, glancing at her

He felt his fur getting hot and his heart beating a mile a minute" I-I would b-be honored to" he managed to speak out a few words he wanted to be more than just the greatest warrior and mentor to her.

she smiled, proud of the happy expression on his face. She presed against him, purring, "its decided! ill be Brindlesilver!"
