Dont Believe The Demon. (P)

"What happened to him? Are you family or related to him at all?" Of course he was a wanted fugitive in the next town over and the news was yet to reach the hospital. At the moment he was just a suicidal freak with wings.

The sedatives slowly wore off as the doctor finished up stitching him. Snapping out of any drowsiness in pure alertness he jerked up but fell back down with his wrists and ankles tied down. He started to growl and shake under the restraints to try to escape. Everyone was shocked and fumbled to find more drugs to tranquilize him as he shouted at the top of his lungs angrily, "They're going to kill us!! We'll kill all of you!! Don't touch me!!" His blue eyes were wild with fear and anger as the leather straps were being strained enough to almost snap. His strength was astonishing. The nurse questioning Penny looked behind him at the corridors where security was rushing towards the room where the chaos was taking place but the door was blocked by something: the body of the doctor crushed by the medical table with several syringes injected in his torso. The medical table was absent of Cage and the nurses were pressed against the walls in terror of the winged man. The window of the exit doorways were blocked so no one else saw his wings and the horrible scene.

"Please excuse me, ma'am." The nurse and a few other officials ran to the blocked door. By the time they got through they saw the doctor dead with two greatly injured nurses with the skylight broken and a single black feather in the middle of the room. one of the assistant nurses was shaking with scared eyes, "B-b-black w-wings... B-black W-w-wings... He, he wasn't... It... It wasn't... H-he..." They took the shaken up nurses to be checked by other medical professionals while they blocked out the scene for investigation. The nurse that was talking to Penny originally went to her, "How did you find him again? How did he get hurt?" Her voice was a little more concerned and her eyes were wide with what she had seen. If this man was in the act of killing himself then he might not have been sane, especially after what the room looked like.

The nurse nodded, "Would you like one of the police officers to escort you back home?" By then there were several them infesting the scene shortly after their arrival.

"Are you sure? you associated with this dangerous man... It might not be safe to walk back home. Unless you have a friend to pick you up.." THe nurse was like a worried mother over Penny, though she did have 2 miscarriages. With Penny's decision (Insert decision here) she nodded, "Alright, you be careful..." She went to go tend to the patience that heard about the episode that happened a few minutes ago.

At the roof of a tall apartment building Cage was on his knees staring at his hands that were shaking as he argued with himself, "You fool! You tried to kill us!! You can't get rid of us... No matter what... Get out of my head... Get out... I won't let you rule my life... It's all that chick's fault! She exposed you to those evil people! They were going to capture us and test us... She needs to be punished!" Cage gripped his stomach as the stitches were strained on his wound. His wings and arms were bleeding from the crash through the sky light. They lay flat behind him with a 13 foot wing span.

The skies grew dark with clouds that were pregnant with rain. Cage laid on the roof as cold rain fell upon him and his bleeding wings. That night he rested on the cold cement as the clouds cried over him.

The next morning Cage was walking along the edge of the beach in a new black hoodie. He was relieved to find that he still had the majority of the money he gained the night before. Avoiding eye contact of others who roamed the beaches he kept his face down as his mind clouded over in thoughts and crowded voices. He muttered to himself apologizing to no one under his breath. He had lost his knife and a portion of his winnings and his back still was bleeding and healing slower than usual. Hunger was what gained his attention and he looked to an old cafe, hesitating to go there, knowing news of his break out probably flooded the streets.

Cage heard the pecking of the pebbles hitting the posts of the boardwalk. Curiosity drew him towards the pebbles. He looked down at the rocks before turning his attention to under the boardwalk. "What the..?"

He would've searched further had his stomach not drag his attention away. Conflict was obvious in his groan and decided that food was over rated. His stomach growled loudly and he cursed under his breath. Giving up on getting anything he went to go rest somewhere on the edge of the beach by a tree. His mind began to wander to last night... Who was that person that called the ambulance? It was a girl right...? His memory was foggy. He just knew that they had disrupted him of his only escape. Alone. That's all he ever was and all will ever be.

Cage decided to rest under the rock he was leaning against, allowing the ocean waves to wash onto shore with rhythm. Oh how his wings ached but he refused to move or find medical attention. That would be the most sophomoric thing to do..
