    it wasn't everyone in the world who lived at a marine rescue center. alana always felt honored that she was able to live there and she lived every minute of her life. at paul's reaction, alana's smile grew even wider at thinking about her home. the animals were her friends and family and she treated and loved them as such.


    "oh it's awesome. we rescue marine animals like sea otters, turtles, sharks, and dolphins. right now we have three bottlenosed dolphins - all of them are girls. riley, she's our permanent dolphin because she got sick and was severely sunburned when we found her beached. her immune system was too fragile to consider setting her back into the wild. then there's varna and berna - a mother and her calf. they were beached too, except varna was caught in a fishing wire and her calf followed her." a dreamy-eyed look took over her eyes and she smiled to herself, imagining the young mother and her baby. "they will be able to be released later, but right now we're just working on healing them.

    IC: Helter looked up as the girl passed him. Okay, so far things have escalated quickly. He had met a seemingly tomboy-ish girl who agreed with him in one thing and now is going to play basketball with him. HS hadn't expected a lot to happen, but I guess he was proven wrong.
    Now, if he had animal ears, he would've probably flattened them in annoyance at the mention of his new nickname. "Why are you calling me that?! Do I look like a giant green monster to you??" He growled.

    I huffed and returned my attention back to the endless ocean, or so it seems. as I was gathering up my stuff a sudden outburst came from the captain's and pilots room. a red loud alarm sounded as everyone around me ran like lunatics. to be honest, I am not scared of death, so I just grabbed my suitcase and noticed everyone was gone; except the teenagers. suddenly everything around me swung to the side, it was like the horrendous scene of the titanic, except there was land... as I raced towards the land, gracefully jumping over lounge chairs, I felt something dig deeply into my thigh. I gritted my teeth harshly as hot red liquid oozed from my deep wound. at the last minute I jumped, and suddenly everything started going black. I had hit my head harshly on an jagged rock.

    Simon nodded, and grabbed his hand, pumping it once before releasing it. She had a strong grip. "Well, nice to meet you, Helter. Now...."
    She glanced around, until her eyes fell on the ball. she jogged up to it, and began dribbling it, waiting for him to try and steal it, or make some move before she really began.




    And then the ship lurched, and she dropped the ball, eyes widened with alarm. "Whoa....Uh, Hul--Helter? " She stepped forward, her gait speeding up as the ship lurched again, and then there was noise, all around, and water....
    She was frozen only a moment before she backed up, quickly to the stairs. "Holy sh*t..."

    The ship lurches violently, the pool upheaves half it's contents, and I tumble forward onto the deck. Wincing, I stand, glancing around anxiously. "the hell....." Simon. Where is she? I glance back at Alana, then towards the land I now see. Can we....get onto it, in time?

    Diana became aware that something was wrong when some water spilled out of the pool and she felt herself being dragged forward with the water. She let out a scream once she realized the boat was tipping. She quickly got out of the pool, and grabbed her bag , which had her stuff in it. She suddenly fell backward and slammed her head on the ground, starting to slide down a bit.

    Nathan suddenly felt a change in the gravity or something like that. He looked around and realized that the boat seemed to be tipping over. Suddenly he sparked with panic and let out a shrill, but deep squeal. He grabbed Danielle's hand , hoping she wouldn't freak out."Come on, we gotta get somewhere safe or get off this boat," he said, already started to feel himself lean forward. He looked at her, his eyes filled with panic and reached over and quickly grabbed his bag, which he bad been keeping by his seat

    IC: Helter gave a curt nod and stepped onto the court with Simon, preparing to steal the ball when all of a sudden he flew backwards, sliding onto the walls of the room with a grunt. What the hell is happening?!
    "We need to get up towards the stairs!" He shouted over the cracking of wood and creaking of the leaning ship, trying his best to keep his balance and slide towards the staircase. Since the two were on the bottom of the top deck, it'd be more difficult to get out.

    Simon's reply was lost over the noise, but she could be seen trying to scramble towards him, and the staircase, which itself was already beginning to look less...stable. The ship's angle was already great enough that on the court, and the polished floor she was having trouble. So she tore off her shoes, and
    soon made it to the steps. She looked down at Helter, and waved at him hurriedly. "Come on!"

    Toby felt the ship sway gracefully, tipping. He collapsed on the wood floor, rolling into a lounge chair. " Shiit!! " He cried, trying to get up but constantly falling over. He caught sight of a familiar blonde, holding onto the railing. " Hey you!!! Are you okay!!!!??? " He shouted, his orange fire like hair swaying in the wind.


    He inched his way over to the blonde, slowly, trying restrain balance. Getting a look at the blonde, her face looked calm and cold, her eyes uncaring and dull, as if this couldn't get anymore boring. When she noticed Toby looking at her, the blonde slowly unraveled her hands from the railing, and flew into the ocean.


    Toby's eyes widened as he watched the blonde fly into the water, the last thing him seeing was he dark green hightops, before all that was traced of the blonde was bubbles of oxygen reaching the surface.
    Without thinking, the Asian dived into the water.

    IC: Thoughts went through Helter's head. Oh god; this can't be happening; what if we drown?! But surprisingly enough, they hit land and weren't gonna drown.
    Helter fell down the horizontal staircase, eyes widening as he flailed in midair, plunging into the ocean and feeling the cold waters engulf his body, almost sucking him under with the ship's weight.


    HS swam up, now trying to reach the surface that was only a few seconds away.

    [justify] I suddenly jolted to the side of the pool. Causing pain to my rib cage. Clutching onto my side I stumbled to get out of the pool. Getting my footing I tried to walk. But to no avail the swaying a rocking of the boat threw me off. It was almost surreal like I was having a bad dream I should wake up from. Stumbling I held onto the rails to get my balance.     Diana gradually got up, and looked around. Something's were a haze, but she could see everyone jumping off the boat, so she decided she'd try her luck with. She suddenly realized blood was dripping from her head, but ignoring it, jumped over the rail into the water, still holding her bag. She plunged into the water and started to quickly swim to the island she had noticed. She choked on a bit of salt water, but ignored it and kept going.

    Diana choked on salt water, but kept swimming. She saw a tiny trail of red follow behind her and let out a shriek, only to choke on more water. She just kept swimming at the ridiculously fast pace she was going at.

    Nathan nodded assuringly and pulled her over to the rail. He looked back at her."Just follow me," he said carefully. He looked over the rail and quickly jumped over. He plunged into the water and looked up at the boat at Danielle."Now come on," he said."We'll swim to that island."


    Key drifted downwards. She was fully conscious, jut let the water bring her down. She opened her mouth and let the remaining air out, letting salty water in. She closed her eyes, waiting for her demise.


    Instead, she felt arms wrap around her, pulling her to the surface. Key opened her eyes, lashing out at her saver. " Ow-ow! " He yelled, quickly letting go of Key. She raced away from the Asian, kicking towards a small island, uncaring.

    Toby swam after the girl. " B*tch. Saved her life, get kicked in the balls. " Toby muttered, swimming over island. He saw other people swimming as well, which gave him hope.


    Toby, after reaching the island, looked around. " Anyone HEEERREE!!? " the Asian called out, waving his arms in effect. " I know a blonde- " He thought against yelling that. " Nevermind!! " He called. He sat in the sand, starring at the ocean.
