  • Oblivion had just become an apprentice, even though his RPer hadn't posted in the ceremonies thread. He hadn't seen much training going on, and he felt as if even though the Covenant didn't fight on a regular basis, they should still be in shape, instead of just automatically being super muscly. And the Meerkat thought sparring would do the trick, but no hitting hard or with claws of course. "Anyone want to train!" He barked loudly, still growing accustomed to being able to make normal meerkat sounds.

  • Maka looked up from where she rested near an old tree. Emerald optics shined as she spotted the young apprentice and heard his request. Hm, this would be good, she didn't know exactly how good these people were at fighting yet, only having joined not too long ago. The tortie heaved herself to her paws, padding slowly over to the Meerkat, greeting him with a bright smile.
"I'll train with ya. i haven't been doing a lot of it lately, so this would be good practice."

  • "Right, since no one else is here I'll let you spar me, assuming you know the rules," He said in a singsong voice, crouching into a battle stance. He really needed the practice, he was only a mere apprentice and had only become one a few days ago.

  • In all truth, Maka had never been in a spar before, so she had no idea...
Hesitating to crouch down in a battle position, she let out a nervous chuckle.
"Um, maybe you could explain them to me again?"
Man, she hated not knowing something, made her feel useless... She should read a book on sparing, that would get her ahead... If there was such a thing...

  • [sup][color=lightsalmon]"Wait for meeeee." came the long, drawn out voice of the orange beast as she approached the group with sauntering steps. "Nobody can start without the fabulous myself, for everyone would die from their lack of vitamin Polarvortex." she could be rude sometimes, and people needed that in their lives. Or at least that was what she told herself to make it seem better.

  • "I don't think I could," Oblivion played along, winking at the great beast. "So, sparring. You go against the other person but don't hit hard, no claws, and don't bite hard," He thought that was pretty good. I guess I'll go against the winner. He added, leaving his battle stance behind and backing up. He hoped the smaller feline won, a meerkat against a tiger? His chances were slim.

  • [align=center]Maka nodded at Oblivion's words, making sure to remember the rules exactly as he said them... Looks like a book wasn't needed after all... Darn, would have been a good excuse to crack one open, she needed a good read right now.
Turning to the tiger, she gave her a nod.
"Okay then, you ready?" She asked, hiding fear that suddenly overcame her as she eyed the beast. Woah, how was this going to work!? Surely even a light smack from the tigress would break the she-cat's spine! The tortie swallowed hard, though showed barely any fear at all, keeping it inside. T'was a habit of her's, maybe a bad one that could get her killed one day... But she couldn't help it.
