Cody shrugged "The Government is going downhill. It's only a matter of time."

"The government has been going down hill since the day it started. This is is one long hill." She said.
-
"All hills must come to an end." Cody pointed out.
-
"You are right. Perhaps a hill is a bad metaphor." She said as she watched the oven attentively.
-
Cody laughed "I think I'm gonna like having you around." She smiled as she began to make the frosting.
-
Amelia smiled.
-
Cody grinned cheekily "So, after you're all confortable with the present, would you like to visit my home in New York?"
-
"That's going to be a while. But eventually, I guess." Amelia smiled.
-
Cody jumped up "YES!"
-
"Is the cake done?" She asked.
-
Cody nodded "It just needs to be cooled."
-
"I hope it cools fast. What happened to the scientist guy, or who ever he was?" Amelia asked.
-
"Issac? No clue." Cody shrugged and waited for the cake to cool.
-
Isaac packed up his work for the day to go home and climbed out of the tunnel as if on cue. He walked up the basement stairs and through the first floor. "I'm leaving for the day." He said, putting his now dry coat on.
-
Cody looked up "Wait for about five more minutes and you can have a slice of cake!" She shouted after him.
-
"That sounds awfully inviting but I really shouldn't impose."
-
Cody rolled her eyes "Get over the formalities, Isaac, it's not imposing if you're invited."
-
"Ah, well then, I'll stay for cake."
-
Cody grinned and started to frost it.
-
Isaac pulled out a chair and sat down.
