Flashclaw smirked. "Not bad. Good work. Uh...are you okay?" He asked Alerionpaw. "Did my running make you feel...a bit dizzy?"

Alerionpaw nodded. "Yeah, watching you run in circles wasn't my best idea." he said, sitting down to let his equilibrium balance. "I'll be okay in a second." he promise, not taking long to stand back up and chuckle softly. "I'm better now."
-
"You sure?" Flashclaw asked, in concern. "I think you should at least rest for another two minutes..you're right that was NOT the smartest move. I was hoping you'd close your eyes and sense the moment I strike. Scarletblaze taught me that."
-
Alerionpaw nodded. "I figured that if I kept my eyes on you, I'd be able to move and get a counter strike in." he explained. "But if I can learn to sense you coming before you strike, that'd be a much better alternative." he said, doing as his mentor instructed and sitting down to take a rest.
-
"Believe it or not, I think I should've told you to keep your eyes shut with that exercise...whoops." Flashclaw told him, purring in amusement. "My bad."
-
Alerionpaw chuckled. "Well, we learn through experience. Now I know never to do that again!" he said, that excited glint still shining in his eyes. "The joys of learning!" he said, standing up. "Alright, I'm okay now." he said, "The dizziness is gone."
-
"Learning is a joyous thing." Flashclaw told him. "You better be. Try getting the correct method this time, shall we?"
-
Goldenpaw decided to go watch. The large tom padded over to the other two cats and settled down to watch them train. He was thinking about going to hunt later but decided to wait and watch Alerionpaw's training. The golden furred tom sat next to a tree and lazily dragged his claws leaving smooth rents in the bark.
-
Alerionpaw nodded, the determination clearly visible in the way his eyes seemed to shine. He got back into his defensive crouch and prepared for Flashclaw to start the drill again.
-
Flashclaw did the very similar movement. It was the same method. Except he was going a little faster. He spun around many times. He went in for the hit. He wondered how Alerionpaw will react.
-
As Flashclaw began running around him, Alerionpaw closed his eyes, listening and trying to sense when his mentor was coming in for the hit. As he heard the beat of paws come closer and change slightly, opened his eyes to see Flashclaw coming toward him. He sidestepped, going in for his own counter attack, charging at his Flashclaw.
-
Goldenaw watched with relative interest but flexed his claws.
-
Oof! Flashclaw was sent flying into a tree! Ouch! That hurt. Flashclaw staggered to his paws. "That was...good. Excellent work, Alerionpaw."
-
Goldenpaw watched Flashclaw fly back. Hmm interesting. Goldenpaw stood on his hind paws and glanced at his right forepaw before sheathing his claws.
-
Alerionpaw smiled proudly at his work, happy to have been able to pull that off successfully. "Thank you!" He said to Flashclaw. "It was almost like I could see you though I had my eyes closed." he said. "I could sense you coming toward me."
-
"That is precisely what you need to try and to do." Flashclaw said. "It's very key in doing that when you can't even see your enemies. Once more, well done."
-
"Thank you much!" Alerionpaw said, smiling as Flashclaw praised him. "So, are we going to do more practice? Or are we taking a break?" he asked.
-
"Well...considering I hit the tree...I think a break would be good." Flashclaw replied. Breathing heavily. Man..never do that again, he thought.
-
"Okay!" Alerionpaw said, chuckling a bit. "Sorry about that, just trying my hardest, you know?" he said, eyes shining with pride at his work. "Is it okay if I go get some fresh-kill?" he asked.
-
"Yeah, I get you." Flashclaw replied. "Oh, sure. Go right ahead, just bring me back something if you don't mind."
