  • Flashclaw was listening to Scarletblaze's story. His ears twitched in irritation. Mostly because this stuff was true, but he didn't want his apprentice to know that he caused his mentor to retire early due to the loss of one of his legs.

  • Alerionpaw smiled as the elders story came to an end. "Wow! I'm going to do everything I can to be just as great a warrior as you and Flashclaw!" he said excitedly. "I'll strive to be just as great, if not better!"

  • Scarletblaze nodded. "Go forth, young one. Your mentor requires your attention." Just as Scarletblaze said that, he caught Flashclaw staring the two down. Then he chuckled.

  • Alerionpaw smiled and nodded, "Alright! Thanks for the story!" he said, getting up and bounding toward Flashclaw. "Hello!" he said, that excited air still about him, but when wasn't it really? "Scarletblaze was just telling me about how you were his apprentice!"

  • Flashclaw put his paw on Alerionpaw's head. "Yeah...don't listen to Scarletblaze." He purred in amusement. "Anyway, kiddo are you ready to do some fighting training? Or do you need to eat a little more first?" He asked.

  • Alerionpaw chuckled and shook his head. "I can eat later, for now I just want to train!" he said excited. "I'm going to be just as a great a warrior as you one day." he said. "And I'm not gonna get there unless train as much as possible!"

  • Flashclaw nodded. "Alright then, Alerionpaw. Let's head to the training grounds." Flashclaw turned around, flicked his tail and began to lead his apprentice there.

  • Alerionpaw nodded and followed after his mentor with an excited smile. He wondered what they'd be doing today, as the possibilities seemed endless. As usual, he was quite excited to begin training for the day.

  • They arrived at the training ground. Flashclaw turned to his apprentice. "Okay, today we're going to work with reflexes and sensing enemies. These are very key things to remember when fighting an enemy Warrior, sound fine?"

  • Alerionpaw nodded, "Right." He said, eager to begin training, excitement flickering in his eyes as he listened to Flashclaw.

  • Flashclaw proceeded to pace around in a circle. "You should know, with all of this you should be prepared for the expected and the unexpected. So I'm going to be jumping out at you from different areas. So be prepared, alright? Do your best to find me."

  • Alerionpaw nodded, getting into a defensive stance and keeping his eyes on Flashclaw's. As long as he was able to keep eye contact it wouldn't be that hard to see him coming, and he might be able to sidestep and get a few of his own hits in.

  • Flashclaw decided to make loud noises, so he moved alongside the bushes to make Alerionpaw aware of it. Once he had been moving around enough, he quickly jumped out attacking from Alerionpaw's blindside.

  • Alerionpaw turned quickly, hearing the noise from behind, but was to late when his Flashclaw attacked him while he was unaware. Alerionpaw tumbled to the ground on contact, but quickly stood back up, getting back into his defensive crouch.

  • Alerionpaw nodded. "Right," he said nodding, eyes full of a mixture of determination and excitement. He was ready for another go, and this time he wouldn't go down so easy. Now he knew what to expect, now he'd know what to do.

  • This time, Flashclaw started running around Alerionpaw. He was running around fast. It was almost like he was invisible. Like there was a tornado near. Eventually he ran enough he headbutted Alerionpaw.

  • Alerionpaw, though he had difficulty keeping an eye on Flashclaw, managed to sidestep his mentor. Nearly falling down in the process however, due to becoming dizzy from watching his mentor run around him. He was going to retaliate with a counter strike, but he ended up shaking his head, trying to clear it from the dizziness.
