    Wolfpaw shuffled his paws. He hoped the shadows would conceal him from the pity filled gazes of his clan mates. The young tom shook his dark pelt and stared at the ground. His mother's lifeless body flashed before his eyes. Wolfpaw shook his head and wanted to cry.

    The clouded leopard approached the two ThunderClanners, wondering what was going on. Upon seeing the sorrowful looking face, she asked sincerely,"What's wrong?"

    "Dude, stop mopping around, seriously, its annoying." The cold, unemotional voice of Chainkit rung through the air as she padded over, her eyes narrowed. She'd lost her frickin' mom, but then she got a new one, and she didn't act like a half-drowned fox whenever she thought about her birth mother.

    [font=andale mono][color=silver]"Ok then. Hope you feel better Wolfie." Chainkit said, inwardly changing what she said to Ok then. Hope you get over it soon. But she would never say it out loud.

    Snakepaw sighed, but didn't speak as per usual. He never spoke. Ever. Who knew if he couldn't, or if he just didn't feel like it. He flicked his tail, surveying the scene.

    Wolfpaw looked at her bitterly. "Shove off, Chainkit." Then he turned to the other cats. "I'm fine." Wolfpaw muttered. He narrowed his eyes and stalked off.

    [font=andale mono][color=silver]Chainkit shrugged. Wolfpaw needed to get over his own grief in his own way, and besides, she had already "shoved off" by the time he said it.

    Ashpaw padded over and just observed. He didn't know what to do though Wolfpaw should get over soon. He gave the apprentice and sympathetic smile anyways. The lion just stood next to Chainkit.

    Snakepaw bounded after Wolfpaw, eyes shining with concern.

    Wolfpaw padded put of the camp, his heart heavy with grief. He did't care where he was going. He let his paws guide him away from the camp. Before he knew it, he was standing by a stream. Wolfpaw looked down at the water and his reflection stared back. I'm glad I look like my mother.

    Ravenstar padded out of her den and stretched in the sunlight.

    IC: Wolfpaw was hit by another wave of grief. He angrily splashed his paw in the water to obscure his reflection and stalked off back to camp.
