  • "He what?" Applejack asked, the thought coming as a surprise to her. Tha's a bit odd. Woulda thought the two were made fer each other. One's a manipulative git-around, the other's an ignorant Canterlot noble. Match made in heaven."

  • "Chh, wouldn't doubt it. Fleur needs too much attention, and Fancy Pants wasn't giving her enough, so she took the matters into her own hooves. Flirting around with stallions right in front of Fancy, wouldn't doubt she went so far as to cheat on him." He noted with a sigh.

  • Applejack shook her head as she set the pastry box on the table. "Ah swear, some ponies don't deserve what they got. That mare's gotta be one of 'em... Anyway, here you go- enjoy. Sorry if they're a bit cold; last time we had a bake sale was about a month ago, and we've put off making anythin' fresh with how much's pilin' up."

  • "You said it AJ," He said, taking the fritter and chomping into it, "Mmmmhhhmmmm... Thank you." He said with a smile, finishing off the fritter within a minute. He licked his jaws clean and with a sheepish grin licked off his fingers.

  • "Glad to see you're enjoyin' yerself," Applejack commented. "So what're y'all gonna do with the empty half of yer schedule now that ya won't be spendin' it on Rarity? Got somepony else yer gonna chase around now?"

  • He though for a moment, wondering what to tell the pony whom he adored. "Well," He began, choking on his words for a moment before continuing, "Maybe I got somepony, but I'm definitely going to take a different approach than before." He gave a nod, scratching under his chin.

  • "Well, that's too ba- Wait, what?" Applejack turned to him, surprised that he actually did have somepony new to 'chase after'. "Didn't think you actually would be thinkin'a somepony already. Least y'all got yer priorities in check. If Ah may, who, exactly?"

  • "Well, I mean, I don't know if I really love them or anything yet, so best not say too much." He lied, of course he loved her! Yet, not exactly in a relationship way just yet, but getting there, "I just feel weird telling you, than saying never mind, you know?" He asked her.

  • "Nah, 's fine. Don't want somepony runnin' 'round sayin' 'Oh, X's got a crush on Y!', 'specially if it ain't true yet. Ah can respect that." Applejack gave a nod to her draconic friend, taking the pastry over to one of the counters, where she removed and threw away the paper liner before placing the box back in the cupboard.

  • "Thanks, AJ." He said with a toothy smile at her, "Are you sure you don't need help with anything at all though? I feel bad just sitting here."

  • "Sorry friend, none that Ah can really think of." Applejack shrugged. "Business is slow lately, so there's not much to do."

  • Spike gave a sigh before he smiled, "Wait! I know what I could do! Advertise!" He exclaimed happily, "Please? I could get a ticket to Canterlot to even advertise there! Your cider is famous all over Equestria, maybe your fritters could be as well!" He said, his smile only growing, hoping this was a good idea.

  • "Nope," declared Big Macintosh as he walked in, heading for one of the cabinets and pulling out a box of wheat flakes. "Gotta 'gree with Big Mac here. We're all pretty well off with the business in Ponyville; it's better without all that publicity. Not too much hassle, but still enough demand to keep us goin'. Sorry, Sugarcube."

  • "Uggggghhhh." He sighed and slumped down, holding his head up with his hand under his chin, "Yeah, okay. So you can't think of one thing?" He asked almost pleadingly.

  • Applejack shook her head. "Ah told ya no. Even if Ah did, Ah probably wouldn't have ya do it anyway. No 'fence, but last time we let ya help 'round here, ya got a bit... clingy."

    {Canon reference alert!}

  • He sighed, "I know, I know." He made a frumpy face, Surely, there must be one thing... He thought with more determination that normally, maybe because he needed to prove his greatness to Applejack, or he just simply wanted to help. Really just a mix of both. He tapped his claws against his chin in thought.

  • Applejack took a seat beside him. "So Ah guess this is you tryin' ta find somethin' to do with these big ol' gaps in yer schedule, then?" she asked.

  • "You could say that. Twilight barely ever needs help anymore, writing letters to Flash and the Princess is all she really needs help with." He sighed tapping his free claw on the table. He added casually, "And I mean- your pretty cool to hang out with too." He paused, "DOn't take that the wrong way." And chuckled, thinking of how he had complimented her earlier and she became suspicious.

  • "Don't worry, Ah won't," Applejack assured him, though in reality she was pretty sure this dragon was narrowly avoiding the temptation of hitting on her. Don't get ahead of yerself, Jack. How do ya know yer not just fantasizin' or somethin'?

  • OOC;

    He smiled, I hope she's not catching on... Am I making it too obvious? Sure I was going to tell her before, but now... I'm starting to question if I should. He pondered then asked, "Since I can't help with anything, you have nothing to do around the farm right? Or...?"
