  • Plot~ My character is Chambeline Moss, a new student at Corpus High. The school is located in a small town in southern Alabama, but it's all familiar to Chambeline. See, when she was in 7th grade, her mom died, and her dad wanted to move to another state and leave everything behind to start over. Chambeline strongly objected. She had a great group of friends, an amazing guy best friend, and a loving and amazing aunt living close by. But her dad had his mind set. So, they moved to California. Chambeline made friends, and eventually began to settle in when the worst happened. She got a phone call. But not just any phone call, a life changing call. Her dad was dead. He worked as a fireman, and while he had been doing his job at a burning apartment building, the wall collapsed and he burned to death. Horrible. So, since there were no relatives in the area and her dad hadn't yet married she moved back to Alabama to live with her aunt. By then she had just turned 16, so she would be starting as a Sophomore. But everything is totally different, though she didn't expect anything else. Her old enemy moved on to the school and has taken over as queen bee. Only some of her old friends still went to the school, but they were still nice. But what dissapointed her most was her 'best friend'. Apparently, he was now a jock, a player, and a total douche. Ugh. One of the people they had despised in their middle school years, yet now, he had become one. But he had a reason. He'd always had a massive crush on her, but when she moved he turned into a state of depression sort of- he had always been a scrawny and weak kid. But on the summer after 8th grade, things looked up. He started making cool friends, working out more, playing sports, practically dating one girl per week. But he just couldn't find love. He wanted Chambeline. Only Chambeline. So when she comes back, he is overjoyed, but Chambeline is disgusted. He then tries to get her attention, while Chambeline's enemy since 2nd grade, Alexa, tries to win him over. You will play the jock/best friend guy, and take him through the hardships of high school.

    Name~ Levi Cunningham

    Age~ 16

    School~ Corpus High

Family~ a little sister in 6th grade, father and stepmom, and an older stepbrother in college

Likes~ playing sports, but hides his love for reading; playing piano, but he switched to guitar because it made him cooler; working on his car

Dislikes~ cheerleaders, but he'd never admit it; wearing his Letterman jacket everyday at school just to show off like all the other jocks, but he does it anyway; country music

Personality~ Levi is actually slightly nerdy, with a love for books and decent grades. He cares about how others perceive him, never wanting to go back to being the weakling he was in middle school. He has a sense of humor and a tendency towards using sarcasm, and he exudes confidence as he walks around the halls.

  • OOC: Alright, and your post doesn't have to be this long, mine's only like this 'cause I'm starting it off.

IC: Here it goes. I stared out the car window with a nervous expression as my aunt Regina pulled into the school parking lot. I remembered the town, it hadn't changed at all. I remember wanting to go to this exact high school when I was like, 11. Well, here I am. It's sort of scary looking. It's really large, with a pretty green field in the front with stone pathways and a fountain, then the campus is lined with a short brick wall. I took a deep inhale of breath and looked over to my aunt, who was giving me a hopeful expression. I exhaled and said goodbye, while she wished me good luck as I got out of her car. There were students everywhere, and not a single face was familiar. I had been hoping to see some of my middle school friend here, but I'll get to that later. Apparently, I'm supposed to be going to the principal's office to get my information and everything like that. I hugged my bag and starting walking, biting my bottom lip. I got a few looks: probably people wondering who I was, or recognizing me as 'the new girl'.

  • Levi had just finished the early morning workout routine that the football coach required his players to participate in if they even dreamed at a chance to play varsity. Not that he was worried about making the team; Levi's place as starting quarterback was basically guaranteed. He lingered on the football field as his teammates updated him on the latest rumors. Who dated who, what cheerleaders were single, the usual. Mostly Levi listened on with fake interest, his mind always wandering off somewhere else. This time, however, a piece of news piqued his interest. "Did you say new girl?" Levi asked his friend Bryant. Receiving a yes, the quarterback raced to the locker room to shower quickly, silently praying that it would be who he thought it was.

  • OOC:

IC: I made my way to the principal's office, my lips pursed the whole time out of nervousness. I entered and was warmly greeted. Well, that's a good sign, the people here are friendly so far. My eyes flickered around the room as the secretary or whatever handed me some papers. I thanked her and looked through the papers. Schedule, locker information, school rules, etc. I thanked the secretary once again and headed back out to the hallway, brushing a loose strand of hair out of my face as I walked. I saw at least two familiar faces- but one was a snotty looking cheerleader with a ridiculous amount of skin showing, and the other was a dangerous looking tall girl wearing all black. I wondered in Levi went here. It would be amazing if he did, but when we were younger he wanted to go to a different high school. I sighed and shook my head, turning towards my locker.

  • Levi finished showering and had headed into the school building, Letterman jacket on him like a uniform. He was planning on heading towards the hallway closest to the office, assuming that's where he would find Chambeline, if he even found her at all that is. A couple of members of the football team began to walk alongside him, talking about things he wasn't remotely interested in. Even though they were "friends" of his, Levi could never stop seeing them as jocks. You're one too, he reminded himself. The group of guys walked down the middle of the hallway, all the other students moving aside as if Levi was parting the Red Sea. Suddenly, a few cheerleaders walked up to the group. A blonde, skinny girl wearing way too much makeup smiled at Levi, her glossy ponytail bobbing. Levi simply raised his eyebrows.

  • OOC:

IC: I focused my eyes back to the papers I was holding as I tried to find my locker, shoving my way through the mass of people occupying the hallway. God, this school was a lot bigger than I thought it was, there had to be like, 1000 students here, I mean, I could barely breath with how crowded it was. I combed my fingers through my hair once, before finding my locker. I sighed in relief when the number worked, and I looked around to take in the surroundings as best as I could so I could remember where my locker was for future references. I had already bought the books I needed, which were currently in my bag. I swallowed and straightened my posture a bit, starting to empty the contents of my bag into my locker- with organization.

  • The blonde cheerleader looked at Levi with a small smile plastered on her lips. "So I hear you're single again," she said casually. Levi shrugged, his eyes darting around the hallway in search of a familiar face he'd never thought he'd see again. His attention was clearly focused elsewhere, but the girl persisted. "If you ever want to take me out, which, trust me, you do, here's my number," she added, handing him a slip of paper. Levi smirked and took the slip of paper as the girls walked away. A few other jocks whistled at him and clapped him on the back, but Levi continued to look for Chambeline.

  • OOC:

IC: As I sorted out my locker, I continued to try and look for any of my old friends from when I was younger. The only people I'd seen were the two from earlier, but they didn't look very approachable so I didn't want to take my chances. No one had come up to me and offered to be friends or anything, and the most I'd gotten were a few hellos and a couple looks from guys in the hallway. Other than that, I was alone at this school for now, but I'm sure that I'd find some of my old friends or make even better new ones while I was here. It couldn't be that hard, yet this school was much different than the one I went to back in California, where mostly everyone was friendly.

  • Finally, after searching for several minutes through the sea of students coming and going, Levi spotted Chambeline. He felt a sudden anxiousness that he hadn't felt before. What if she had forgotten who he was? They had been best friends when they were younger, but a lot could have changed since then. After all, look at what had happened with him. Would she even recognize the muscular, jock as her friend? Levi ran a hand through his hair before walking over to her locker. A few of his teammates watched him, but kept their distance. "Chambeline?" Levi asked, uncertain if she would know who he was.

  • OOC:

IC: The voice was completely unfamiliar to me, but whatever. "Hmm?" I asked, turning partially around and getting my first look at the guy who was standing in front of me. I was confused. How did he know my name? I mean, he looked really familiar, I just couldn't recognize him. I squinted, somehow thinking that would increase my chance of recognizing him, before something clicked in me. Oh dear God. "Levi?" I said quietly, though it came out in more of a questioning tone. My eyes widened a moment after I spoke, and I confirmed my own thoughts. Yes, this was him. It had to be him, somehow. I don't have a single idea how the heck he got so muscular and tall, and how his voice got a lot rougher and deeper, but I knew it was him, no matter how much he'd changed.

  • Levi felt a surprising wave of relief wash over him by the simple fact that she had managed, after a moment, to recognize him. The surprise in her voice was fairly obvious, and he couldn't blame her. She had changed too, but she looked older than he had last seen her (obviously) and stunningly attractive. Even so, many things about her had stayed the same, enough so that he felt a warm feeling in his chest as he remembered the times they had spent together when they were younger. "Yep, it's me," he said with a small grin appearing across his face.

Ooc: so sorry, the real world has been kicking my ass lately and I've been super busy. I will probably be more active now though, just not on every day :/

  • OOC: It's fine, I was just making sure you hadn't lost the thread or anything. No worries ^^

IC: I opened my mouth to reply, but no sound came back out. Not surprising, I never really have been good with words. I just nodded slowly, my eyes widening even more than they had before as the corners of my lips twitched, before I broke out into a huge grin. He'd always talked about going to a different high school, I never expected to see him again anyways, so seeing him here, now, was a huge surprise, but in a good way. He had changed so much, but I don't care, I only care if he's got the same sweet and loving personality he's always had, and I'm sure he does. I snapped myself out of my thoughts and took a quick inhale of breath, before running forwards and squeezing him into a bear hug.

  • Levi smiled widely as he took her into his arms, hugging her back just as tightly. It was as if they were little kids again, except now, even though he had always been taller than her, he was more muscular instead of skinny and frail like he was back then. After the embrace, Levi let her go, a smile still on his face. "Honestly, I never thought I'd see you again," he admitted, rubbing the back of his head.

  • OOC:

IC: "Same here..." I breathed, still keeping my arms loosely wrapped around him. I just didn't want to let go. I took this moment to look him up and down. He was still tall, he'd always been. But dear God, I'd barely recognized him at first. He had obviously gained more muscle, and a lot of it. He was tanner, his hair was a bit darker, instead of the almost bleach blonde it was when we were younger. His braces were gone, too. "You've changed a lot." I said after a few moments, though I kept the smile on my face, to let him know that he hadn't changed in a bad way. Or not to me, at least.

  • Levi smiled widely as she said this, remembering how pathetic and puny he had looked the last time she had seen him. "I began working out and such, no big deal," he said with a shrug, although it had taken quite some time for him to look the way he did now. He leaned on the locker next to hers. "You haven't changed that much. You're still the same girl I grew up with," he said warmly.

  • OOC:

IC: I laughed softly, shrugging. "Thanks, I guess." I said with a smile, turning my head a bit more toward him. "You know, you really need to catch me up on everything. Don't think I'm letting you get away without doing it." I said after a moment, raising my eyebrows. "I mean, I'd ask another one of our friends... But they don't look very approachable."
