    Ebonykit opened his sleek amber eyes. The scent of ashes and death surrounded the kit. Littlepelt mourned for his sister, but picked up the kit. What happened was, while Ebonykit's mother was giving birth to Ebonykit and his litter mates, lightning struck her, and his litter mates died, but not Ebonykit. Littlepelt placed him and the medicine den, surprised that the kit had no damage at all. He placed Ebonykit to be in the nursery with other kits.

    OKay nevermind... sorry, my brain farted the day I posted...




    Firekit eyed Ebonykit with curiousity. "You smell like ashes. Were you one of the kits whose mother was struck by lightning?" She asked. "Sorry to be rude... I'm Firekit."

    Ebonykit cocked his head slightly. "I don't have a name," he worded, getting worried that he wouldn't. The kit scented different from him, and he shivered.

    Ebonykit grinned, and purred. "Then I'm Ebonykit!" he mewed, his white paws shivering excitedly.

    Firekit smiled. "Hooray for Ebonykit!" She laughed. Firekit blinked her round green eyes, a glint of admiration. This kit was a survivor of a lightning strike!

    "Lightning eh? Well, well." The son of Death, or rather Deathlord, made his way to see the huddle of kittens and the calf. Death The Kid twitched his left ear, his three-white-striped ear. Curious yellow eyes studied Ebonykit. He couldn't say that Ebonykit was completely symmetrical though, but his OCD strangely didn't make him want to go and rant on about it. "The name's Death The Kid, call me Kid."

    The kit turned to the others about him and blinked up at the elk, then at Kid. He purred. "Nice to meet you, Edelwiss and Kid," he mewed, his amber eyes glowing.

    "This is Ebonykit." Firekit purred. "He survived a lightning strike." There was a hint of admiration in her tone.
