She took a seat on the edge of his bed before proceeding to tell him her story. "Well... Where do I begin...? Last night my entire family was slaughtered by our maid. I only made it out alive because I hid in one of our kitchen cabinets until it was safe to run. And that's what I did. I ran away from the mansion. I ran until my legs ached so that I could not go any further. That's when I found your garden, and I passed out." She explained, her eyes focused on something far, far away.

"Your maid?" Alois muttered, glancing back at the door, then looking back at her. "That must've been terrible!" He gasped, "Why would your maid do something so horrible?" He muttered with confusion. After all the things that he had done to his own maid, Hannah, she had never laid a finger on him, or said anything harmful to him either.
-
"I... I'm not sure..." she started, her voice quiet. "She always seemed a bit off to me. I would catch her sneaking around at night, and doing very... strange things during the day. I don't know why I didn't say anything about it. Maybe it was because she'd been our maid since I was little, and I'd known her for most of my life. I trusted her." She closed her eyes for a moment, and sighed. "All I know is that she hated us for some reason. Hated us enough to kill us." she concluded, looking over at Alois.
-
"Hannah.." Alois hissed quietly, "Do you think Hannah's going to betray me?" He asked, panic rising in his voice. Though he knew that Hannah wouldn't stay anywhere near him, unless he asked, the feeling would not go away. He placed his hands behind him, leaning back. He smirked lightly, staring up at the wall. "What am I talking about, Hannah wouldn't lay one eye in me."
-
"Speaking of that," Sav began. "What happened to Hannah's other eye...?" She tilted her head to the side, staring down at Alois with curiousity in her eyes.
-
Alois jumped slightly at her question. What should he tell her? He didn't want to not tell her, after the whole story she had told him, but he didn't want her to think wrong of him. "If I tell you.." He started, "..Promise you will still be my friend..?" He asked, looking at her.
-
"I promise..." She said, scooting a little closer to him. She smiled reassuringly.
-
Alois nodded, "Alright.." He muttered, then started explaining. "Since you've promised, then I'll tell you..that I..um.." He kicked his feet, staring at them. "I gouged it out." He said quietly, the slightest smile of embarassement curving on his lips.
-
For a moment her eyes grew wide with panic, but then she remembered her promise. "O-Oh.... Well... That's okay! We have all done bad things in our life." She said, her voice calm. She placed a hand on his shoulder gently.
-
Alois' head hung, and he let out a hiss of amusement, soon a cackle of laughter. He fell back on the bed, laughing. "Why do you feel bad?" He demanded during loud bursts of his laughter. "I enjoyed it, and I don't think it was bad at all!" He rolled over, gripping onto the covers, his fit dying down. He stared at her, his expression mild once again. "Hannah's just some worthless trash." He muttered quietly.
-
"I suppose you're right... She is only a maid." She said, shrugging her shoulders. She held Alois' gaze, her expression indifferent.
-
Alois nooded, sittingback up to look her in the eyes wkth a smile, "So, we're still friends, right?" He asked, to make sure. He was a little bit surprised that she hadn't thought he was sick, but enjoyed the feeling that someone had agreed with him.
-
She smiled at him and nodded. "Of course we are!" She said. Though many people would have found his actions sick, Sav could relate to the feeling. She wasn't as innocent as most people thought her to be.
-
"Good!" Alois exclaimed, before pulling her into a hug. "You're my real friend, Sav, so I won't let you leave like the others." He said, tightening his grip around the girl.
-
She giggled and hugged him back. "Why would I ever leave?" She said. "I like it here, very much~!"
-
"I'm glad you like it here." Alois said, letting go of her. "You will stay, right?" He guessed what the answer would be after what she had said, but decided to ask anyways.
-
"I'll stay as long as you'll let me." She said, tilting her head to the side and smiling. For a moment her eyes shined the way they used to, back when she was happy.
-
Alois lay back on the bed, looking up. He stretched out his arms, then yawned slightly. "Forever." He answered, smiling brightly.
-
She smiled back, and leaned back onto the bed next to him. "You mean it...?" She said softly, with a small yawn.
-
"Mhmm." Alois nodded. "You won't have to worry about some bloodthirsty maid, if your here." He said, turning on his side to look at her with admiration.
