  • Black Bone paused to sniff the air. Many other dogs hunted here too, he could tell, and the scent of a group of cats with similar scents made him cringe his nose. Still, he wasn't going to let dogs stop him from hunting!

He pricked him black ears, and listened for the sound of prey, rustling through the ferns and leaves

  • The prey tensed, knowing something was up. It looked around. Then, suddenly, a dog pounced. The female Golden Retriever snapped the prey up in her jaws, her teeth sinking into it. It was quickly eaten, the female dog savoring every bite.

September couldn't remember the last time she had eaten a meal. She licked her lips. Hunting was quite good around here. She trotted out, interested in her unfamiliar surroundings. Then she stopped. She saw another dog ahead. "Hey!" She called out, going into a steady run ahead. She skidded to a stop. "I'm September. Who are you?" She asked, curious. She hadn't seen another dog for a long time.

  • " Black Bone" he said. He wasn't happy that this cat, September had just taken a meal from him, but obviously she hadn't known he was there

As he smelt the prey she had eaten, his stomach rumbled with hunger, he gave a low growl.

  • A black and white shape padded near the treeline, panting. The Border Collie had been running, and in the meadow she had managed to snag a rabbit. She had finished it off in several famished bites. Suddenly, her ears pricked, and she could smell dogs. She barely remembered the last time she had seen another dog, and with an excited bark, the Border Collie broke into a run, her nose guiding her.

The dog skid to a stop as soon as she could see the dogs, and calmly, she began to pad toward them. "Hey." she said, approaching them cautiously. "I'm Spring."

  • "I guess you haven't seen any dogs around here recently ever, huh?" Black Bone didn't really mind this....until dogs seemed over-excited about seeing another one. In fact, he almost snorted to himself over it. It got a bit annoying. "Caught anything?" he asked in an innocent tone.

  • Spring nodded. "A rabbit." she stated simply. She realized that this dog must've been starving. I'm sure he'll catch something. she told herself. There's plenty of rabbits on the moorland.

  • He nodded gruffly, but hunger churned inside his empty belly. He ran off, he search of more prey, out of this forest where the lonely dogs swarm.
