IC~ Swiftkit looked at the poppyseeds and hesitated. "Go on," Poppylight gently urged him. The kit gingerly licked up the poppyseeds, almost instantly feeling tired. "Good job," Poppylight purred softly, smoothing down a tuft of hair that was sticking up on Swiftkit's head.

"Good job, buddy! Now we are gonna splint your leg.. do you know what a splint is? It's a stick! Weird, right?" he spoke continually, hoping to keep the kit entertained so it wasn't painful. He held down the leg and straightened it, wincing a little. He nodded to Shatterpaw to attach a stick and tie it down.
"Lemme tell you a story, alright?" he said, praying the cat didn't notice any pain or fell asleep. -
Shatteredpaw nodded to the warrior. Nosing the stick near his leg she placed it on top of a stick then placed the other stick over his leg. Taking a small weed she wrapped I around the splint. "Stay strong, soldier," she muttered then yanked the weed tight to hold the splint in place.

IC~ Swiftkit slightly winced, only feeling a little bit of pain. He looked up at Nightfang and nodded. "Yes, tell me a story!" He meowed, exited as ever. "Stop it!" He complained to his mother, who had started to wash him. Poppylight purred in amusement, but she didn't stop. Swiftkit then turned his attention back to Nightfang.

Nightfang purred in amusement, not expected the kit to actually want to hear a story. He lay down next to him, inviting Poppylight and Shatteredpaw to rest now that the leg was casted. (?)
He folded his paws and wrapped his tail around his body, he stared deeply into the kit's eyes for a moment before clearing his throat and starting his story.
"Once upon a time there was a cat of great power. He was the strongest, fastest cat in all of the forest. But he misused his powers for himself .. he killed many innocent warriors and soon sat upon a throne of dead cats. He slaughtered many and stole and took kits and forced cats out of there territories. This cat was known as Nightstar.. He was a great evil that all the cats feared." he shuffled a little, gazing up at the sky. "Then.. when all the other cats had lost hope... a she-cat appeared. Her name was Light. She was small, and weak, and slow. But she had one thing that star did not... a heart. And with that heart.. she had hope and a cunning like no other. She met Nightstar on a battlefield, he teased her and threatened her friends and family.. using a defenseless kit as blackmail.. and she surrendered letting him take her as a slave. Once in his camp she was used to clean his fur and have his kits.. now after an entire moon passed.. Light's secret plan set into play.. when Nightstar was sleeping one night. she gathered slaves and used them to slaughter his guards. When Nightstar awoke to the clammer of fighting, he was alone in a den.. with Light and two toms. "You have caused much suffering!" Light yowled, "And upon my clan and all the other clan's.. your sentence is DEATH!" and in a single movement Light killed the evil tom.. casting his soul into the starless sky for eternity. The moral of this story is to be selfless and kind to all.. not a selfish rogu. The end." Nightfang sighed and closed his eyes, letting his black face stare up at the blue sky/

IC; Silverheart had been listening to thru tale as well, sitting by the injured kit. She rather liked the story. It was meaningful, and simple. Flicking her tail, she went over to the small pile of things she had collected and plucked out a vole. It was only slightly burnt. The deputy carried it over and dropped it next to the kit, saying, "Eat it if you want. It's only a little bit burnt."

She chirped, her voice cracked as she felt a furball was lodged in her throat. "The leg doesn't look.. Well." Shatteredpaw whispered to the kits mother. "Im sorry," she spoke then dipped her head and limped off, her tail dragging through the grass.
