Celestia lied on the carpet of her royal chamber in Canterlot, using her magic to hover an unwritten scroll and a quill and some ink right next to her. She opened the scroll and started writing:
My faithful student,
I have planned a meeting with you in the royal Canterlot castle, where I will be teaching you a very special ability among the alicorns. Please arrive as soon as you can.
She signed her name at the bottom of the scroll and rolled it back up, sending it to the Golden Oaks Library.

Moments later, a shrill scream of excitement erupted from the destination of the scroll."Spike! Pack the bags, we are heading to Canterlot!" The purple Alicorn jumped around the room, floating several saddlebags to the center of the room. Along with the bags, Twilight also levitated three spell books into the bags.
"Where did you put the strap to my bags?" Twilight asked Spike, darting to the other side of the room to search the drawers.

"I put them in one of your drawers... Why are we going to Canterlot, anyways?" Spike asked, leaning against the wall near the stairs. "Does it have something to do with... you know?"

Twilight stopped mid-rumage to look at Spike questionably. "What?" Twilight replied, tilting her head slightly.

"Well... becoming a princess, I guess." Spike replied. He was still getting used to Twilight being an Alicorn Princess, rather than the middle-class unicorn he was used to.

Twilight answered Spike's question before turning to the open window."Pinkie, how are you-?" Twilight pushed aside the logically able ways to be standing at the second floor window.
