“Eddy!” called out Wheatley in the living room, all snug and wrapped in a blanket since he ‘felt’ like it. The core just wanted to chat with someone today and apparently that ‘someone’ was Eddy. He felt that home security program was a good listener and had fun things to say about himself. Eddy switched onto the screen and smiled at Wheatley. “You rang?” Wheatley looked a bit confused. “I haven’t rung anything yet. Did I?” he asked. Eddy’s smile widen. “It’s just an expression for er….Something but I don’t feel like telling you for some reason,” he said and continued staring at him for a long moment. “What do you do here? Do you test on subjects?” He just shrugged a bit. “Nope. I just monitor the whole house and alert Donald if anything is wrong. I sometimes like to mess with Tasha,” said Eddy with a smirk at the ending. Wheatley felt that kind of related to what he used to do. “What’s Tasha like?” he asked suddenly. “That’s a whole different story and kind of long too but who cares! I’ll tell you about the she-beast.” Eddy started to explain everything about Tasha and the things that bothered him the most about her. Today was a total bore. Wheatley was a bit pissed off with Eddy for annoying Donald’s and Tasha’s anniversary day together which ended up with him getting shut off. Don’t take it the wrong way though, he barely cared about their special day too but didn’t want to make a mess of things so he asked Donald if he could turn Eddy back on and leave him in the lab with him. Donald refused, saying that Eddy might come up and ruin things again but left the core back in the lab. For about half of the day, Wheatley sat there from the desk, wistfully watching the black screen on the other side of the room that used to have his cheery and sometimes annoying program friend. He didn’t know how much he missed him until Donald turned him back on around 8:27 P.M. “Eddy! You’re back, luv! I missed you so-” Wheatley cut himself off suddenly when Eddy gently smiled at him. “I see someone missed me a bit too much today,” he said softly, sounding glad to be back. “Uh-Well...Ah...Today was boring without you,” stammered Wheatley awkwardly, looking around the room now. Eddy just giggled a bit. “So I’m the party of your day huh? That’s nice to know.” He winked at the core, who would have been blushing madly if he were human. “Yeah….I guess you are,” said Wheatley, yawning gently. Eddy would have liked to mess around with little ol’ Wheatley some more but he saw that he was tired from today. “Go to sleep, Wheatley. I’ll bother you tomorrow in the morn,” said Eddy and smiled when he watched the core go into sleep mode.
