Snow scurried off the thunderpath as a monster roared past. She looked around this strange new place. There were large dens of some sort everywhere, each with a fenced back. The small white rabbit noticed a hole in one of the fences. Fur fluffed up, she went through it into a large yard. Snow settled down and fell asleep.

Clover padded outside with her only kit, Bramble. The brown furred she-cat looked over at the patch of flowers to the left side of their fence. "Bramble why don't you go search for a flower for our Twolegs?" Clover asked him with a purr. The light brown tabby kit widened his sky blue eyes. He gave her the stare as if she had a mouse running in the inside of her brain. "How about a rabbit or a squirrel! They would love some food! I would at least," he mewed the last words quietly and shook his fur out. "Now Bramble," Clover growled and closed her eyes with a sigh. "If you catch it you eat it over the fence and not in the yard!" she called out to him as he bounded off to the flower patch. As Bramble searched for prey his eyes landed on a ball of white fluff. "An overgrown flower if I say so myself," the little kit snorted and watched it.
-
Snow flicked an ear and yawned, waking up drowsily. She looked around cautiously, not noticing Bramble yet. Shrugging, she sniffed around the flowers and started eating some.
-
Bramble leaped backwards and smirked. "Prey," he whispered and crouched low. Now he was ready to leap onto this tiny little rabbit. "Bramble! Time to come inside!" Clover howled. Bramble lifted his head and crouched into the flowers. There he hoped he would blend in. Sure enough Clover called his name again. "Quiet rabbit," he begged.
-
Snow lifted her head above the flowers, eyes wide as she heard Clover's call. She looked through all the flowers until she spotted a slightly different color in them. Tilting her head, she hopped forward a little towards Bramble although she couldn't see him perfectly yet. "Hello?"
-
Bramble waited until Clover jumped up and down into another kittypet's yard. "Gone for now!" he whispered and jumped when he heard a tiny voice. "Rabbit! You are the one I was hunting! Prepare to be feasted on!" Bramble said, licking his maw.
-
Snow flattened her ears and dug a hole in the flower patch before leaping into it. She continued digging deeper until she paused and turned around, waiting to see if the kit would try and follow her.
-
Bramble looked shocked when he saw the rabbit disappear. "I'm sorry I just never hunted a rabbit before! Please come out!" he begged. It was the truth that the brown tabby kit really wanted a buddy. With his mother searching for him wildly he wanted someone to talk to!
-
Snow inched a little bit closer to the entrance of the hole. " How do I know you won't eat me?"
-
He rolled his eyes and poked his nose in the hole. "I'm just a house cat. You really think I know how to hunt?" he mewed. "I sit and usually eat the same food everyday so the Twolegs are pretty much my slaves," he mumbled and sat down.
-
"Oh, ok." Snow crawled out of the hole and nibbled a flower. "My name's Snow what's yours?" She asked.
-
Bramble had to do a lot not to make himself drool. Though in the end he got the nerve right and looked down. "My name is Bramble and my mother is Clover," he replied. "So why did you come in our yard?"
-
"Oh I'm sorry, I didn't know that this was someone's yard!" Snow apologized. "So you live here?"
-
Bramble nodded. "Seeing that big nest within the fence? It's my home!" he mewed proudly and suddenly a loud yowl sounded from the edge of the yard. "BRAMBLE!" a raging hiss meant. A tall brown she-cat walked forth, her amber eyes set ablaze.
-
"Cool!" Snow said before jumping at the older cat's hiss. "Is that Clover?" She asked Bramble.
-
The Tom nodded quickly and smiled at his mother. Clover only snatched him up by the neck and placed him away from the flower patch. "You naughty little kit you!" she growled and nipped his ear. A slight cut formed in his ear and he whimpered before hanging his head low.
-
"Hey, he was just being curious!" Snow squeaked, hopping up to Clover.
-
Clover jumped and couched low. "He's my son. He knows better," she snapped and stood up. Her claws shot out and her eyes stared coldly down at Snow. In seeing this Bramble jumped in front of his friend and arched his back. "No!" he growled and Clover stepped back. "She's a friend," he said afterward and Clover only laughed.
-
Snow's fur puffed up in alarm when Clover snapped at her, and she shrunk down in the flowers. "Sorry." She murmured quietly.
-
Bramble shook his head. "Nothing in your fault," he whispered to her and Clover sighed. "Come on Bramble." The two hung their heads and trudged into the nest.
